Aeroyacht 110 luxury catamaran is a fast first

Set to become the world’s fastest sailing yacht, American shipyard Aeroyacht showed-off a one metre model of its 33 metre luxury catamaran at the Monaco Yacht Show last week.

The 110 is the first model of the new range of sleek Aeroyacht supercats in which a 95 and 125 are set to follow.

She was designed by Founder and President of Aeroyacht Gregor Tarjan and features naval architecture and engineering by Morrelli & Melvin with Paul Van Dyke.

Equipped with all the amenities a discerning client would expect in their own home, the futuristic-looking catamaran displays a sharp-edged profile, pearlescent grey hull, and accommodations for six guests.

Like many modern yacht designs, the Aeroyacht 110 has placed special emphasis on being environmentally conscious and self-sufficient. Eco-friendly building materials were used in her construction and her decks feature mounted solar panels and optional wind turbines for harnessing natural energy.

Upon her launch, the Aeroyacht 110 will become one of the largest composite catamarans on the water where she will take on the distinctive appearance of a 21st century world traveller.

Amongst her innovations include many firsts for luxury catamarans such as a semi-flybridge-style twin cockpits, Grand Prix-type performance rig, and hammerhead reverse bows.

The interior of the 110 is customisable to client requirements but in general, interior surfaces will be made from light weight materials and finished with paint or veneers where possible.

Owners will also be given the choice of optional equipment to be included onboard with perhaps the most exciting being a two-person Icon A5 amphibian sports-plane which can be housed in a purpose-built platform aft.

The shipyard recently partnered with YCO Monaco who will act as exclusive agents for the marketing and brokerage of the Aeroyacht range of supercats.

Sunreef Yachts to build mega catamaran Aeroyacht 110

Sunreef Yachts is delighted to announce that it has a new, exciting project in its portfolio – the Aeroyacht 110, a high-performance, exclusive super catamaran. The yacht is designed by Gregor Tarjan founder of the international renown multihull brokerage company Aeroyacht Ltd in conjunction with Morrelli & Melvin. The agreement gives the Polish shipyard rights to build this yacht and market it as Aeroyacht 110 by Sunreef Yachts. The shipyard has already been approached by a client interested in this spectacular design, and the first sale is expected to follow soon.

The partnership agreement between Sunreef Yachts and Gregor Tarjan also includes a dealership agreement giving Aeroyacht Ltd non-exclusive rights to sell all Sunreef yacht models in the USA and to his worldwide customer base.

The Aeroyacht 110 is a spectacular multihull indeed. She is a high-performance sailing superyacht with eco-friendly features including wind and wave generators and solar panels that allow the yacht to run silently. The mega-catamaran’s lightweight composite structure considerably reduces fuel consumption. The yacht defines the “next generation” of high-performance sailing vessels and perfectly fits Sunreef’s new range of fast cats called ULTIMATE. With high average speeds, similar to an offshore powerboat, she will have an unlimited operating radius under sail and a range exceeding 2800 nautical miles under power. The generous 44′ beam provides zero heel while under way and no roll at anchor . Guests can enjoy an extremely spacious saloon rivalling those of 300 feet motoryachts. As an extra option, the yacht can even be equipped with a personal exploration aeroplane – the 2 seat Icon-A5 amphibian, launched and retrieved from a hydraulic platform on the aft deck.

Sunreef Yachts has announced a new 33.5m superyacht project named Aeroyacht 110.

Designed by Gregor Tarjan, founder of the international multihull brokerage company Aeroyacht Ltd in conjunction with Morrelli & Melvin, the Aeroyacht 110 will be designed as a high-performance superyacht.

This mulithull superyacht will include a host of eco-friendly features including wind and wave generators and solar panels that allow the yacht to run silently. The lightweight composite structure of the yacht reduces fuel consumption.

With high average speeds, the yacht will have an unlimited operating radius under sail and a range exceeding 2800 nautical miles under power. The 44' beam provides zero heel while under way and no roll at anchor.

A spacious saloon will also be featured at the superyacht. The yacht can also be equipped with a personal exploration aeroplane, the 2 seat Icon-A5 amphibian, launched and retrieved from a hydraulic platform on the aft deck.

If you’ve seen it all, hit the roads in the most hi-tech cars, flown over to exotic locations on chartered planes, then why not hit the high-seas in style too? If you really want to, then the radical yacht-builder Walley, based in Monegasque, is secretly working on just the baby you are looking for! A new Aeroyacht 110, a superfast 33.5-meter catamaran, is being designed by its founder and President Gregor Tarjan. The secret to its exclusivity is that it comes with a two-seat Icon A5 amphibian sports plane that can be launched from a specially designed pod on the yacht.

The yacht is touted to be the world’s largest composite multihull, and the naval architecture is handled by multihull specialists Morrelli & Melvin. The yacht has the capacity to do 35 knots at full speed and is expected to hit stores by late 2010. [ Jameslist ]

Aeroyacht 110 supercatamaran yachts - power and beauty, i am very happy to publish this post. gregor tarjan, aeroyacht founder, contacted me last year to let me know he was launching a supercatamaran project involving great naval architects morelli and melvin and to ask me if we could meet to talk about the project. we met in paris during the boat show and gregor decided to trust me with promoting the aeroyacht 110 . i am very proud to introduce this amazing yacht in the luxurycatamaran blog..
