| regimes can be the best time to make this trip if you have . Waiting for the right windows you can even get some southerlies and avoid too much trauma. If you can't wait on weather this can be miserable and a gear-breaker.
Don't know anything about trucking. SevenStar (I think - check on this) has a regular between Ensenada and Victoria. No dismantling, float on/float off yacht transport. Assume you’ve checked into slip availability in the for that size of yacht? It’s been pretty tight all summer.

| and also having coached others doing it, it is certainly doable, but requires flexibility with time.
It's a great adventure if you have the time, but if not, it is better to 'pack up the boat' and truck it up.
Call George Boulanger at Windward Yacht Center in Marina del Rey and also talk to Michael Blunt there about packing the up to truck to Seattle. They are dialed in on doing this with a good trucking company that won't damage your boat. It's not as expensive as you might think compared to paying someone to deliver it up that could take more than 3 weeks if weather doesn't cooperate and possibly do some expensive wear and tear damage doing the trip.

| for years. If you can get out and gone in September I'd say go. If you're into October the run to SF is easy but from there on it get's more dicey.
Last time I brought up a boat was my own, new to me. Took 5 attempts to leave SF due to boat issues. That put me leaving around 2nd week of October. The weather window was shutting down fast. It took me 6 weeks to get to dodging storms the whole way. Many times all the bars would be closed and with the storms marching through... 20' waves, high winds, it was a lot of sitting and waiting.

If this forum were guidance, no fisherman would be more than part-time.
Right now, there is a killer wx window all the way to SF. There will be others. Many recreational sailors are extremely nervous about the central coast, partially with good reason, but many have hung around the docks and listened to stories about "o-dark-thirty and the seas were 5 meters." For 5 years, I spent an average of 225 days each year moving boats between and Cabo. If it weren't possible to move boats after October, I'd have had to double my rates.
