You might also hear on your ride that the sea is nearly 13 miles in length, half a mile wide, and 140 feet deep.

The grottoes of Rosh Hanikra

The grottoes of Rosh Hanikra perches 210 feet above the Mediterranean Sea, northwest of Israel, near the Lebanon border. Arguably Israel's most visited tourist destination, Rosh Hanikra has beautiful and interesting sea caves, limestone grottoes, and other geological formations. The blue sea also crashes against beautiful white cliffs as the reflecting light creates a turquoise color on the water. Many people believe that the Rosh Hanikra caves were formed by an earthquake that caused crevices and fissures in the limestone rock, thereby letting rain enter slowly through the cracks and causing the limestone and chalk to get eroded. A motorboat from Betzet Beach can take you to the grottoes. You can go kayaking into Rosh Hanikra, beginning from the beach, and sail through the open ocean to the caves, spotting beautiful geological forms in the soft limestone as you go.

Eliat Marina is 22.4 km away from Ramon International Airport in Israel.

Eliat Marina is 12.5 km away from King Hussein International Airport (roughly a 15-20 minute drive).
