WELCOME TO FAIRHOPE YACHT CLUB

Located in Fairhope, Alabama, along the picturesque eastern shore of Mobile Bay, Fairhope Yacht Club has been a Mobile Bay institution since 1942.

Fairhope Yacht Club embodies rich maritime traditions dating back to our founding members. We welcome maritime enthusiasts of all ages. Our junior program is among the best along the gulf coast, with over one hundred members. We sponsor four high school sailing teams who compete in regattas along the coast and around the country. Whether you’re a seasoned sailor, a novice eager to learn, a junior sailor, or a cruiser, our facilities are designed to enrich every aspect of your yachting journey.

Beyond the water, our club provides a vibrant social hub where members can form lasting friendships and share their passion for the water. From excellent dining options overlooking Mobile Bay to lively social events, there’s always an opportunity to connect and unwind in our welcoming clubhouse.

We are blessed with a moderate climate, steady afternoon sea breezes and the most beautiful sunsets on the bay. Our generally laid-back lifestyle is occasionally punctuated with bursts of extreme intensity, usually right before the starting gun, or during a jubilee !

Take a summer sailing lesson at Fairhope Yacht Club.

Each summer, dozens of small sailboats dot the waters looking like tiny bathtubs in one of Fairhope Yacht Club ’s best traditions. The children’s clinic – in the beginner Opti’s – is just one of the sailing programs offered nearly year-round at the club that’s been the mainstay of Eastern Shore sailing since 1942. Opti’s and later Lasers and 420s lead to a thriving juniors program competing in regattas around the South. Whether beginner or just rusty – check out the sailing classes offered each summer at FYC.

Business name : Fairhope Yacht Club

Fairhope Yacht Club is a private club for members and guests. The Club boasts a family oriented environment with a casual atmosphere where members can come and relax while enjoying beautiful sunsets from one of the many vantage points on the premises.

Fairhope Yacht Club is pleased to have Chef Robert Jur at the Club. Chef Rob, originally from Indiana, relocated to Fairhope to be near family and for the love of the area. His menu and nightly features are a pleasure to the palate. Children enjoy their own child size menu and are always a welcome part of the Club. Dining room attire is usually casual for those who wish to come in after a day on the water.

Chef Rob, along with House Manager Pauline Stewart, can also make your next party, whether a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, special birthday or any other occasion, a very memorable event. Our staff is among the friendliest on the Gulf Coast and makes you feel at home each time you walk through the door.

Miscommunication delivered dauphin island regatta racers into deadly storm.

An official at Fairhope Yacht Club, which hosted the event, said Tuesday that concerns about stormy weather had nothing to do with the delay in the start of Saturday's race, and that organizers had no idea that the day would bring a sudden blast of gale-force conditions.

Smoke on the water, the fire in the sky.

Yachts go up in smoke. Could be sabotage or could be insurance fraud or could be another careless smoker.

Sucks when you can’t even get a moped through with a six-pack of water.

Luxury Rules at the Moscow Yacht Show

Maria Sapozhnikova

The windy Russian autumn weather might be a little bit tricky for sailing, but it doesn’t stop brave yachtsmen from all over the world from flocking to Russian capital in the beginning of September when the Moscow Yacht Show commences. The main Russian Yacht exhibition gathers professional and amateur yacht lovers together under the wing of The Royal Yacht Club.

This year it took place for a fourth time already. The exhibition is considered the principal event on the sporting and social calendar. The Moscow Yacht Show 2010 united in one area three of the largest Russian yachts distributors: Ultramarine, Nordmarine and Premium Yachts.

A wide range of yachts were on display for a week. An exhibition showcased yachts both from Russian manufacturers and world famous brands: Azimut, Princess, Ferretti, Pershing, Riviera, Doral, Linssen, etc.

It was a real feast for seafarers as visitors of the show had a unique chance not only to take a look at the newest superyachts before they hit the market, but also to evaluate their driving advantages during the test drive. The show provided an excellent opportunity for yacht enthusiasts to choose and buy a new boat for the next season.

The event started with the grandiose gala evening. It included grand dinner, the concert and professional awards ceremony for achievements in Russian yachting industry. The guests also enjoyed the annual regatta.

Special guest Paolo Vitelli, Azimut Benetti Group president, opened the evening.

Next year organizers assured guests they would bring more yachts, the scale of which will even make oligarch Roman Abramovich envious. Sounds very promising indeed.
