F100. The ultimate cutting-edge project. An iconic yacht.
In the early '80s, an order arrived from a passionate Owner with highly sophisticated tastes, none other than the head of Fiat Group Gianni Agnelli, the 'Avvocato'. What he wanted would become the M/Y F100 (32.8 metres, 1983). Designed and built by CRN, this rather special vessel vaunted exterior lines of unmistakable style by naval architect Gerhard Gilgenast.
But above all it was extremely innovative - the most advanced in the sector at the time - foreshadowing a type of yacht that would be all the rage 30 years later. The F100 was the first true explorer yacht in the pleasure boating world. The only indulgence was the beauty line, traced out in pure gold under the rubbing strake from bow to stern as an aesthetic finishing touch.
A landmark innovation that looks to the future.
Designed for long voyages in all weathers, her minimalist lines are far removed from the classic idea of luxury, so much so that she has been described as almost austere. This was the first boat with floating rubber supports for an exceptionally quiet ride, a type of soundproofing that presaged the active noise cancellation technology developed 20 years later. The F100's upper deck can also be used to land a helicopter, the Avvocato's favoured mode of transport, the first time this was possible on a 33-metre yacht. Like many trends launched by CRN (and Agnelli), the F100's 'minimalist' luxury philosophy immediately gained cult status. This sophisticated design was ahead of its time, the fruit of the talent and know-how at CRN's Technical Department bolstered by consultancy from experts at NASA. The result was a pioneering design using anti-vibration plates to prevent engine vibrations from propagating through the iron structure. CRN also designed and fitted an electric generator for the boat to cruise in total silence at night. What's more, to be able to cruise in silence at 4 knots, as the client required, CRN created a special clutch that isolated the shaft from the main engine, powered by a small electric motor that drove the shaft using belts. The reduction in speed was aided by the first variable-pitch propeller on a CRN yacht. Another key feature was that the rudder was not fixed but could slide to starboard when needed to facilitate mooring by allowing a clearer view of the quay - a solution that foreshadowed today's bridge wing stations.

A General Description of Motor Yacht F-100
This 33 m (108 ft) luxury yacht was built at CRN Yachts (Ferretti Group) in 1983. Motor Yacht F-100 is a well sized superyacht. She is a traditional converted private yacht. The naval architecture office whom authored this yacht's drawings on the yacht was Maierform and Gerhard Gilgenast.
New Build & Design of Luxury Yacht F-100
Maierform was the naval architect involved in the formal vessel plans for F-100. Also the company Maierform and Gerhard Gilgenast skillfully worked on this undertaking. Italy is the country that CRN Yachts (Ferretti Group) constructed their new build motor yacht in. After her official launch in 1983 in Ancona she was afterwards handed over to the yacht owner after sea trials and testing. Her hull was crafted from steel. The motor yacht superstructure is fabricated for the most part with aluminium. With a beam of 7.74 metres or 25.4 ft F-100 has moderate room. She has a fairly shallow draught of 2.5m (8.2ft).
Engines & Speeds For M/Y F-100:
The 6M331 engine installed in the motor yacht is built by MAK-KRUPP. Her propulsion units are a single screw propeller. The main engine of the yacht produces 1000 horse power (or 736 kilowatts). She is equiped with 1 engines. The combined thrust for the yacht is therefore 1000 HP or 736 KW.

IMPRESSIVE OUTDOOR AREA
The outdoor living areas are impressive for a yacht of this size , with a design focus to maximize space and functionality. Each outdoor living area allows a different feeling and sensibility to experience while onboard. The flybridge helm area is the largest exterior space on board with full amenities from sun lounges to fine dining and a full bar area. The sleek hardtop allows ample shade to escape the sun while dining and relaxing during the day.
FLUSH ON THE SEA
The aft deck area provides a closer feeling to the sea with a large solarium located at the stern furnished with large comfortable sofas and coffee tables. This space flows directly to the beach club area with an additional built-in sofa/sunbed on the transom. A large open swim platform with fold-down side panels to increase the usable area and maximize the space to enjoy water activities. The area would not be complete without the submersible swim deck. The large swim deck is hidden in the transom and can be lowered into the water for relaxation and playtime or launching jet skies and other water toys. The external spaces are completed with the bow area. A large sundeck extends forward as well as another private dining area with a retractable bimini shade.
ENGINES AND PROPULSION

Amer Yachts
The Amer F 100 is a 29-meter yacht capable of a maximum speed of 30 knots , a cruising speed of 25 knots, and fuel consumption which, at an economic speed of 9.1 knots at 900 rpm, reaches 37 l/h, allowing 2088 miles of range. The yacht has a sinuous and elegant livery, like a dress for special occasions, with attention to aesthetics but also in the construction technology that responds to the requests for future disposal at the end of its life. The most characterizing element is the presence of large windows that allow abundant natural light to filter through, while offering picturesque panoramic views of the outside. Natural lighting, which contributes to the containment of energy waste on board, draws a pleasant play of light and dark that dynamically changes along the sinuous geometries of the furnishings as the light intensity from the outside varies. In the pursuit of maximum usability, the upper deck extends from stern to bow like a "promenade sur la mer" and makes it easy to access the bow sundeck. The fly bridge features a large whirlpool tub and a very spacious sunbathing area in the aft that can be converted in order to create a casual seating area. The large dining table and bar area can be shaded by the hard top with retractable sunroof. Additional sunbathing and seating areas are available on the aft and bow decks.
The style developed by the architect Stefano Tini for the interiors is elegant and modern where white, gray and black predominate in an alternation of matt, glossy and mirrored finishings. A spacious main living area offers sofas with sophisticated design, at the bow of the main area there is a dining room with a rectangular table and armchairs. The "open cellar" is unique and spectacular. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors open to the aft deck, connecting both spaces and making the area large and comfortable. The sleeping area accommodates 10 people in 5 cabins . The bright and spacious full-beam master cabin is located on the main deck, while the 2 double and 2 convertible guest cabins, with private bathrooms, are located on the lower deck. The crew area provides accommodation for 5 people. The yacht features a rich selection of equipment and a state-of-the-art entertainment system.
