We have Skippered powerboat and motor boats for rental / hire including their own Captain and crew from Chichester with access to the Solent, UK South Coast close to Southampton to go to Cowes, Isle of Wight or further afield! Charter or rent either this fantastic 47 foot elegant, luxury motor yacht from our South Coast base at Chichester for a day event. This luxury powerboat can accommodate up to 12 guests and comes with Skipper / Crew to help make your powerboat charter day hugely memorable.

Join us at 10am for a day departing from the home port. Explore the beautiful surroundings of the large natural harbour and incredible bird life before opening up the engines  for a high speed run to the Solent and Isle of Wight.  Bring your own food and drink aboard to eat at anchor in a tranquil bay or eat ashore on the Isle of Wight.

Motor Boat Hire Yacht Details:

Great for corporate entertainment or your special day afloat whether it be a family day, a stag or hen group – or just time to explore the quiet back waters of Chichester Harbour. Especially popular are runs to ‘The Hut’ for lunch – be sure to book early!

These UK South Coast based motor yachts for rent are fitted out to the highest possible specification and comes complete with a hard-top convertible roof to help you make the most of all weather conditions. The powerboats have twin fridge freezers, an ice maker, a high-powered sound system including bass box, air conditioning and heating throughout, two showers / wash rooms and teak decking in the cockpit. Also included for your comfort are flat screen TVs and a generous area to socialise below decks.

The cockpit are an amazing area for entertaining with loads of seating room and a bar / BBQ area to prepare food and drinks. Down below there are two cabins and a spacious and comfortable saloon area.  The deep V hull means that she will cut through the waves regardless of conditions and when the throttles are open and with 1150hp pushing her along she has excellent performance and is capable of speeds of up to 35 knots. Unfortunately we can not offer overnight accommodation on board the powerboat but this can be found locally in Chichester or for overnights on the Isle of Wight at Cowes. There are some great hotels, airbnb and bed and breakfasts.

*Fuel – We include the cost of fuel in your charter when taking a typical itinerary for 2 hrs of motoring from home base. As an example Chichester to Cowes on the Isle of Wight and back is fuel included. If you wish to go further afield to the Hut or Needles a fuel surcharge would apply. Should your chosen itinerary take us further afield we reserve the right to charge a fuel supplement. You will be made fully aware of any surcharge at the time of planning.

Based at Falmouth Marina, we offer you the opportunity to experience a luxury skippered charter aboard Windana, our Sealine F42/5 Flybridge Cruiser – this stunning boat has a spacious and luxurious interior and plenty of room on the flybridge for everyone to enjoy the spectacular Cornish coastline. Your skipper Jeremy is an experienced motor boat owner and cruiser who knows the Cornwall coastline very well after many years on the water, and will enjoy giving you an exhilarating and enjoyable time on the water, pointing out the landmarks on the way. Windana is a beautiful boat for cruising the south coast of Cornwall with full day, half day and evening charters available that can be tailored to your individual requirements.

Our home base is Falmouth Marina, just in front of The Upper Deck Bar and Restaurant which is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. With ample parking, the marina is the ideal start or finish to your luxury charter, or we can arrange other pick up points if preferred, eg St Mawes if you are holidaying on The Roseland.

Motor Boat Charter in the Solent

We launched a brand new Princess F55 flybridge for the 2023 charter season.

The newest motor boat of its kind available for charter on the south coast featuring full Gyro stabilisation to make your time on board even more enjoyable. Massive internal and outside space, full climate control, beautiful natural materials and styling from a British boat builder with a worldwide reputation.

As well as high speed capability her ultra stable platform also allows us to offer environmentally friendly full displacement charters. Sip drinks as the Solent glides by and have a great day out without compromising your corporate environmental commitments.

Alongside our new Princess F55 we still have our original Princess P50 Mk3 flybridge available for charter. Operated by us since new she is much loved by charter guests and offers generous accommodation both inside and outdoors. For charters of more than 12 guests the 2 boats can be hired as a pair.

Each charter includes a commercially endorsed skipper with local knowledge and a hostess. As well as ensuring your safety the Skipper and crew are there to look after you and will share their local knowledge to make sure your time with us is truly memorable. We operate throughout the Solent / Isle of Wight area.

We are happy to advise on an itinerary or you can tell us where you want to go. There are no timetables to adhere to and no other guests to please so relax and enjoy yourself. For more than 10 years now we have operated corporate events, family gatherings, casual days out, special celebrations and even experience days prior to buying a boat.

The 2024 season calendar is starting to fill up fast so please don’t delay getting in touch if there is a particular date you had in mind.

In-board or out-board motorisation?

There are two types of motorisation for a motorboat: "in-board" and "out-board". In the first case, the engine is located inside the boat, it can be in a hold or in the engine room. Also, the rudder and transmission and other equipment are located in the hull of the boat. Therefore, none of this equipment is visible on the boat. In contrast, in the out-board, the engine, transmission and rudder are compact and located at the rear of the boat.

The different types of motorboats

Categories of motorboats are numerous and it's sometimes difficult to differentiate. To help you, the Filovent team offers you a description of the different types of boats we offer. So, motorised boats will no longer be a mystery to you!

Semi-rigid boats - inflatable boats

The semi-rigid boat can be soft-bottomed or semi-rigid, as its name suggests. It has inflatable bladders also called floats. In most cases, the semi-rigid boat is used as a dinghy. Its motorisation system is out-board.

Open-hull boats

The open-hull boat is a boat with an open deck and no cabin. It is perfectly suited for a day of coastal sailing. As with semi-rigid boats, it has an out-board motor.

Day-cruisers

The day-cruiser is a motorboat with a small cabin, a bathroom and a kitchenette. This type of boat is very pleasant for a day trip to enjoy the sun. Depending on the model, its motorisation may be out-board or in-board.

Cabin-cruisers

The cabin-cruiser is a kind of in-between boat. Similar to day-cruisers, the cabin for resting is much larger and more comfortable. It has sunbathing areas, either in the front or at the rear of the boat, depending on the model. This type of boat can measure between 7 and 14 metres, for the largest, classified as a yacht. It is suitable for coastal navigation and for a few days cruising. Its motorisation system is generally in-board but it is not rare to see out-boards.

The speedboat is a boat known for its optimum comfort, comprised of one or more cabins and a spacious living area. It is perfectly suited for a comfortable cruise. The motorisation of this type of boat is in-board to ensure power and speed.

Which motorboat to rent .

Choosing your motorboat rental is very important. If you wish to spend a romantic weekend and discover the French Riviera, at the end of May, we propose a boat from €414 for 2 days. If you prefer to go with friends, at the beginning of July, you can find boats available from La Rochelle starting at €4,450 per week, for 6 people.

Mandatory fees are added to these prices such as cleaning and fuel consumption. In addition, to guarantee the safety of all , a deposit will be required, as well as your boating licence and Id card. Depending on the model, you can also add extras; towed buoy, accessories for water skiing and wakeboarding… So, whatever your wishes, we do our best to make sure you have an unforgettable time with your motorboat rental .

What about the motorboat market?

Motorboat construction has been experiencing strong growth for several years. Indeed, more and more boats are being sold and exports are increasing all over the world. According to a report published by the Nautical Industries Federation (FIN), three out of every four boats sold are motorboats. Chartering a motorboat is one of the best ways to enjoy a fantastic day of sailing with your family or friends. A motor yacht will allow you to discover all the secret charms of the destination in an easy and fashionable way, thanks to its ergonomic design and manoeuvrability.

How can I hire a motorboat on Nautal?

Hiring a motorboat through Nautal is a very quick and easy process.

Select “Motorboat” in “Type of boat” (in the search menu). Choose the desired destination and the exact dates (if you know them). Additionally, you can use the available filters to sort the motorboat charter search results and make the search more effective (such as boat price, size or age of the boat).

Once the list of available motorboat hires is displayed, you can choose the one that best suits your needs. Most of the boats allow immediate booking, although for some charters you will have to request a quote directly from the owner.

In the technical data sheet of each motorboat, you will have all the information you need to hire a motorboat quickly and clearly, although you can always contact the owner for any further questions that are not specified in the technical data sheet.

How much does a motorboat charter cost?

The price of a motorboat hire will depend on several determining factors such as the type of boat, the destination for which you want to hire the boat and the dates for the reservation of the boat.

In popular sailing destinations like France  for example, you can charter a motorboat on the French Riviera in low season from £170 per day and from £260 per day in high season.

As mentioned above, the season is one of the factors that can have a major impact on the price and make prices vary significantly. For example, you can hire a motorboat on the island of Lefkas  in Greece  in low season from £50 per day and from £60 per day in high season.

Is it possible to sleep on the motorboat?

It depends on the boat you charter. Some motorboat charters allow you to spend the night on board (although many of them require an overnight stay in the harbour where you picked it up), while others only allow you to hire a motorboat for the day.

Is it possible to charter a motorboat without a skipper?

Yes, many owners will allow you to hire a motorboat without a skipper as long as you meet the requirements in the destination. In many countries, however, you may not be allowed to drive the boat without a valid boat license. In this case, it may be necessary to have a skipper onboard.

What is the maximum capacity of a motorboat?

The number of people allowed on a motorboat will depend on the type of boat you choose. The ideal number of people when chartering a motorboat to ensure comfortable sailing is 6 people, although you will find large boats that allow groups of up to 12 people.

What activities can be done on board a motorboat?

There are many activities you can do when you book a motorboat hire. You can enjoy sailing on the yacht, swimming in the sea or snorkelling. Many of the motorboat charters available at Nautal include guided routes which will take you to places that are unknown to tourists or that are difficult to access in any other way than by sea.

Some owners will allow you to hire a motorboat for parties or any other event or celebration. For this purpose, many of them have a catering service, DJ, beverages, etc.

In addition, most motorboat charters have extra services and activities (sometimes for a fee) such as sports activities (kayaking, paddle surfing or wakeboarding). When hiring a motorboat, ask the owner directly about all the activities that can be carried out on board that particular motorboat.

What are the best destinations to charter a motorboat?

The Greek islands and the country’s capital, Athens , are also fantastic places to charter a motorboat, as well as Italy  and the seducing Amalfi Coast . Balkan countries Croatia  ( Istria , Zadar ) and Montenegro  have recently seen a surge in boat hires, thanks to the beautiful turquoise water which surrounds these places. We also provide yacht charters in other destinations worldwide, such as Miami  in Florida and Cancun  in Mexico.

What extras should I take into account when hiring a motorboat?

The extras to be included in a motorboat charter will depend on the particular boat you have chosen. Many of the boats ask for a deposit to be paid, which will be entirely refunded, if the boat is returned in the same condition as when it was delivered.

Other extras to consider include the fuel. Fuel is usually calculated at the end of the trip and depends on engine power, speed and weather and can vary between £25 and £1000 per day. These boats are delivered at check-in with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full.

In the technical data sheet of each boat, you will find all the services offered by the motorboat hire in question.

As mentioned above, many of the motorboats have activities on board (for a fee) such as catering, DJ or water activities. Luxury yacht charters are also available at Nautal for passengers who desire a more high-end service.

Do I need a license to charter a motorboat?

The requirement of licenses depends on the country where you will be sailing. In Spain, boats up to 15 hp and 5 metres in length can generally be crewed without a license. In Italy, no license is required for boats up to 40 hp and 24 metres in length. For more powerful boats, you must have a license or hire the boat with a skipper.

What should I consider when chartering a motorboat?

Motorboats are versatile vessels that can be hired for half a day, a full day, multiple days or weeks. The smaller ones, without a cabin, are often offered for day trips. The larger ones usually have a maximum capacity of up to 12 people including the skipper. In any case, you can always check the availability on the information sheet of each boat. This type of motorboat is perfect for all types of sailors and is often requested especially for parties and/or stag/hen parties.

Here at Martham Boats we have a number of traditional wooden & glass fibre motor cruisers which are ideal to cruise the Norfolk & Suffolk Broads. With these traditional cruisers you can explore the quieter part of the National Park, where there are plenty of moorings to be had, or you could even wild moor in the peace and tranquillity of the Broads. Our cruisers have been designed to navigate all the bridges on the rivers system with their screens folded down, and if it's not an exceptional high tide. We have a range of cruisers available, ranging from 25' (7.62m) to 43' (13.01m) in length, with a variety of berths sizes from 2 berth up to 9 berth. Norfolk Broads Boat Hire

Renowned for its natural beauty as well as its fine range of visitor attractions, the Norfolk Broads abounds with incredible waterside restaurants, traditional English pubs and remarkable nature trails. One of the UK’s 15 national parks, the wildlife and landscapes of the Norfolk Broads are expertly protected to ensure they maintain their year round beauty.

Stretching from Beccles in the south to Dilham in the north, there’s over 125 miles of navigable waterways to explore. From the quaint village of Wroxham to the bustling city of Norwich, the variety of destinations to visit means there’s something to please all tastes. Indeed, some visitors will fall in love with the boating centre of Stalham whilst others will be at home in the charming market town of Beccles.

There’s plenty of activities for everyone to get involved in, too. There’s tigers to be visited at Thrigby Hall Wildlife Gardens, magical days out to be had at BeWILDerwood in Horning, and scenic walks to be taken just about everywhere along the waterside. There’s also a nature reserve at Surlingham which provides guests the opportunity to learn about the way that the Broads were formed as a by-product of peat digging during the medieval period.

Full tank of fuel.   Your holiday cruiser will be provided with a full tank of fuel upon collection.

Damage waiver.  Sometimes mishaps occur. With our damage waiver you can relax knowing should you be involved in an accident you wont incur additional costs. For further information please refer to our terms and conditions.

Free unlimited wifi.  Whilst the Norfolk Broads offers the perfect place to disconnect, we k now that is not always possible. We offer free unlimited wifi onboard, to ensure you can stay in touch when you need to.

Free outdoor parking.  Our free car parking means you can start your holiday relaxed, rather than struggling to find a car parking space.   

Providing there isn’t a sign stating otherwise, boaters are welcome to moor anywhere on the Norfolk Broads. Providing, of course, that they do so sensibly. Whilst many areas are free to moor in, it’s important to note that some places do charge for this service and it’s the responsibility of anyone hiring a boat to ensure that all necessary fees are paid. In the case of the yacht stations at Norwich and Great Yarmouth, for example, there is a charge to stop and make use of their facilities.

In some cases, waterside restaurants will refund any mooring fees upon the purchase of a meal. Similarly, all hire boatyards which are members of the Broads Hire Boat Federation will allow visiting cruisers to moor for free at certain periods.

Convenient and often free mooring options ultimately make boat hire on the Norfolk Broads much more enjoyable as it’s possible for visitors to easily get around and spend as much time as they like at their preferred destinations.

Our boating holidays on the Broads are great for four legged friends, too! Welcomed on board along with their humans, they’re welcome to cruise the Broads in style. We’re also committed to ensuring that everyone stays safe out on the water, which is why we’re happy to loan out dog life jackets in exchange for a small refundable deposit.

It’s not just our team that welcomes our furry friends on the Broads. Indeed, many of the walking trails around the waterways accommodate dogs. From walks on Wherryman’s Way by the River Yare to the grounds around Burgh Castle, it’s possible for dogs to come along and enjoy a holiday with their owners.

There’s also various pubs and attractions that are dog-friendly and make for great places to visit during a Norfolk Broads holiday. These include:

Explore the beauty of Falmouth, Carrick Roads and the River Fal. Head out on one the UK's most beautiful bodies of water. In an hour you would be able to see Falmouth Harbour, Falmouth Docks, both St Mawes and Pendennis Castles and the scenic Carrick Roads.  (roughly 7-8 mile round trip) Two hours provides for time to do the whole 16 mile round trip to Smugglers Cottage and back to Custom House Quay(Everything you can see on the 1 hour hire plus exploring the beautiful River Fal). Three hours or more gives you time to stop at one of the many spectacular locations en route including St Mawes, Mylor Harbour, Pandora Inn, Trelissick Gardens and Malpas Village.......

Our Pilot 520 Cabin Boats are roughly 17ft long (or as the 520 in the name would suggest, 5.2 metres). They can accommodate up to 5 people and any dogs. Equipped with wheel steering for much easier handling (as opposed to your typical tiller steering), a 8HP outboard (roughly does around 8/mph at full speed, which is plenty for the 16 mile round trip in a 2 hour window) and roughly 50% of the boat is covered in case of cold winds or rain...

Brand new to 2024 we have Whaley 435s for hire. These are a much more modern design built using modern materials and are capable of holding up to 8 passengers. Also equipped with wheel steering for much easier handling and do roughly the same speed as our Pilot 520s
