We reckon Beyonce is going for the most liked photo on Instagram after she jumped off a 30ft yacht – with Jay Z capturing the moment on camera.

The singer, who is currently in Sardinia taking a break from her Formation World Tour, was papped as she pencil dived off the super yacht.

Jay was on Instagram husband duties in a smaller boat underneath ready to snap her in action and we can’t wait until she posts the final image.

Beyonce has been enjoying the sights of Italy with Jay and their daughter Blue Ivy after wrapping up the European leg of her tour.

She’ll be heading back stateside next month to continue her tour, but before that she’ll be headed to the MTV VMAs.

The singer’s Formation video – the first single unveiled from her Lemonade visual album – will be competing for video of the year against Adele’s Hello and Kanye’s Famous.

The event will take place on August 28 and broadcast live from New York’s Madison Square Garden.

She last year famously plunged 600ft from Auckland's Sky Tower in a dramatic freefall jump.

And Beyonce clearly has a head for heights, posting a video on Friday showing her taking a giant leap from her yacht into the ocean.

The 15 second video shows the star waiting on top of the yacht while being counted down by husband Jay-Z who is behind the camera.

'One, two, three, she's off,' he shouts as the 32-year-old singer holds her arms aloft in beat to the countdown.

She plunges into the ocean sporting a black and white print bikini to cheers from her friends on the boat, emerging from the sea to Jay shouting 'nice'

The star, who was spotted enjoying the basketball at the weekend with her rapper beau, also posted a video of her far higher bungee jump last October.

Splashdown! Beyonce made it into the water and held her hands aloft, to the sound of Jay-Z laughing

The star was in Auckland  for her Mrs. Carter Show world tour.

However the daredevil singer looked excited about the exhilarating experience and howled with laughter as she fell.

On her way down, she even managed to scream 'this is awesome' and 'this is so fun.'

The singer performed two jumps from the tower - which is 1,076 metres or 600 ft in height - because she enjoyed it so much, before 'disappearing as quickly as she arrived,' according to a report in New Zealand newspaper the Herald.

A source told the newspaper: 'She got changed into the bungee clothes out the back somewhere and was taken straight up in a service elevator.

'It was difficult to see her when she came down because she had so many bodyguards with her.

'It was all over very quickly and bosses kept it quiet from everyone because they didn't want word getting out and risk huge crowds turning up to watch.'

A freefall is similar to a bungee jump but instead of being tied by the ankle, participants are strapped in around their torso and jump from a height rather than diving headfirst.

Beyoncé spent this weekend the way we all should have spent this weekend: jumping off a 30ft yacht (instead, most of us spent the weekend on the couch watching episodes of Mr Robot and online shopping, like this writer did).

But, to be fair to the true nature of Beyoncé’s activities, we wouldn’t really call it ‘jumping off a yacht’. Try ‘gently lowering herself down into the sea by manipulating the ocean breeze’, or perhaps ‘temporarily suspending the laws of gravity in order to descend gracefully into the water’.
