The best luxury Airbnb in Los Angeles
1. a three-bedroom retreat in the hollywood hills.
This mid-century gem screams SoCal chic with three bedrooms, each with its own ensuite bathroom and shower. Crash into the coziest bedding for a snooze, while the downstairs lounge flaunts killer floor-to-ceiling windows peeking out at a tropical paradise. But, the pièce de résistance? It’s got to be the outdoor space. Whether you’re sipping sunrise coffee on the master deck or basking in the afternoon sun by the private oasis-pool, this property is the ultimate vacation spot where worries vanish, and relaxation takes center stage.
Beds? Three bedrooms. Sleeps up to six guests. The space: Enjoy luxury living with a Tonal Home Gym, High-Speed Fiber-Optic Internet, Tesla Charging Station, Outdoor Gas BBQ, and Stunning Views of DTLA. Location perks: Perched in the Hollywood Hills, this house offers the best of both worlds - a serene hillside retreat that’s a 15-minute stroll away from Sunset Boulevard. Budget range: Even when divided among six, this one still costs a pretty penny.
2. A contemporary home with cityscape views
Tucked away in the upper Hollywood Hills, this luxury gem offers panoramic city views that'll take your breath away. Kickstart your morning with a homemade breakfast on one of the home's two sprawling entertaining decks, before sliding into relaxation mode with a dip in the 30' infinity pool and hot tub that offer front-row seats to the stunning panorama of Los Angeles. And hey, if hiking's your vibe, this area's a goldmine, perfect for those hot girl walks. After a day of unwinding, sink into one of the four cozy double bedrooms for a dreamy night's rest.
Beds? Four bedrooms. Sleeps up to eight guests. The space: Views, views, and more views. Location perks: Live among the stars, with endless bars, restaurants, cozy coffee shops, and lush parks to call your own. Budget range: Sure, it’s pricey (no surprises there), but as they say, you get what you pay for.
3. A Bel Air mansion with lake and mountain views
Love the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? Why not step into the world of Will Smith by booking a stay at this stunning Bel Air mansion? Boasting breathtaking views of the lake and mountains, this retreat offers the best of both worlds—a serene escape in nature that’s just a stone’s throw from LA's hotspots, including the iconic Bel Air Hotel. While there are tons of amazing restaurants around, we wouldn’t judge you if you end up staying in and whipping up a meal in this beautiful place. After all, the kitchen’s Viking appliances and gorgeous Macaubus stone countertops practically beg to be used.
Beds? Five bedrooms. Sleeps up to ten guests. The space: Did we mention the backyard? It’s 10,000+ square feet of pure luxury, complete with a luxurious pool, hot tub, and jaw-dropping views. Location perks: Enjoy VIP access to the city’s top-notch cultural and recreational spots, including the Bel-Air Country Club, UCLA campus, and Getty Center. Budget range: Again, it’s pricey but you can bag a long-stay discount if you are staying for a week plus.
4. A private six-bedroom mansion in Beverley Hills
Enjoy a taste of Hollywood luxury, even if it’s just for a short stay, at this exquisite Beverly Hills property. With six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, an onsite gym, an outdoor pool, and tennis courts, it really is your ticket to the VIP lifestyle. And you won’t need to worry about privacy either. The house is nestled behind walls, gates, and serene trees over an acre of picturesque park-like grounds, ensuring a true hidden oasis away from the world.
Beds? Six bedrooms. Sleeps up to fourteen guests. The space: This place is so luxurious that you might need a gentle nudge from the host to get you to leave. Location perks: You're within walking distance of Sunset Boulevard. You know, that legendary street with miles of glitz, glamour, shopping galore, top-notch dining, and nightlife that never quits. Budget range: The price tag might make your eyes water but when you split it between fourteen it's slightly more reasonable.
5. A modern Balinese zen spa retreat in the Hollywood Hills
Here’s a luxury LA property with a twist. This little peach of a place is designed in accordance with an Asian – and, in particular, Balinese – aesthetic in mind. It’ll have you feeling like you’re on a spa break, only twenty times more personal because all of this is in your own home. There’s an outdoor heated spa, three astonishingly beautiful bathrooms with stay-for-hours tubs and a delightful balcony with hanging chairs. But what we love the most is the water feature in the garden and those steps leading down to the peaceful sunbathing enclave. In fact, we’re breathing deeper already.
Beds? Three bedrooms. Sleeps up to eight guests. The space: Your mind is in Indonesia and your body is in America. Location perks: Absolute peace and tranquillity in a remote… oh, wait. No, not remote. Just five-mins drive to Sunset Boulevard. Budget range: Compared to the others on this list, this place is a steal.
6. An enormous mansion in coveted Bird Streets
Live out your celebrity fantasies at this lush hillside mansion- trust us, this place looks straight out of a Hollywood blockbuster. With four bedrooms, with ridiculously comfy double beds and ensuite bathrooms, you’ll wake up refreshed and raring to go every day. Whether you're lazing by the pool, unwinding in the hot tub with spectacular views, or relaxing indoors in the expansive lounge (complete with a futuristic grand piano), you’ll enjoy the epitome of luxury living.
Beds? Five bedrooms. Sleeps up to ten guests. The space: Sure, the interior of this place is spectacular, but the real jaw-dropper? The infinity pool that overlooks the breathtaking skyline of DTLA. Location perks: Shopaholic? You're in luck. Rodeo Drive's shops are just 3-mile downhill from here. Budget range: You’re paying for the views.
7. An Echo Park design home with gorgeous pool
Another contemporary LA home with a discernible Asian influence on its design, this very cool home is in always-enviable Echo Park. For the uninitiated, that means you’ll be in the heart of LA even though this place will make you feel like you’re millions of miles away from anywhere. We love how ever inch of this place has been curated to the max. Cast your eyes away from that dramatic ceiling and you start to clock all the tiny details: the deliberately mismatched living room mirrors, the echoing of the banana leaves outside with the lush greenery of the house plants, the solitary rocking chair on the hidden patio, the individual tapestry bolster cushions on the sofa… we could go on. This place was built for and by perfectionists, and if you’re one of them you won’t leave disappointed.
Beds? Three bedrooms. Sleeps six guests. The space: Effortless Californian chic taken up a notch (or five). Location perks: Trek the Elysian Park hiking trails for stunning views of LA. Budget range: OK, it’s getting pricy. But not the most pricy on this list so…
8. A luxury mansion retreat in the LA hills
Every inch of this property exudes elegance and sophistication, from the multiple living areas (yep, multiple) to the killer garden with a sparkling pool. When night falls, grab your pals and gather around the outdoor firepit for cozy catch-ups before retiring to one of the six opulent bedrooms, where floor-to-ceiling windows offer panoramic views of the cityscape below. Each room also includes a lavish ensuite bathroom, complete with premium fixtures and spa-like amenities. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Beds? Six bedrooms. Sleeps up to ten guests. The space: Simply spectacular. Location perks: You’re within a 25-minute drive of Universal Studios Hollywood, Santa Monica Pier, and the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame. Well, unless the notorious LA traffic decides to play up. Budget range: A fairly expensive stay in a popular location.
9. A modern mansion nestled in Beverly Hills
After working up a sweat on LA’s famous canyon trails, there’s no better place to return to than this modern mansion. It's equipped with everything you need for a ridiculously luxurious stay, including five plush bedrooms, three spacious living areas, a fully equipped kitchen, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto a beautifully manicured terrace. Outside, a generous outdoor pool awaits, along with multiple seating areas to bask in the California sun. You can even amp up your stay with extra services like airport transfers, exciting activities, pre-stocking, and even mid-trip cleaning.
Beds? Five bedrooms. Sleeps up to ten guests. The space: A modern vacation paradise. Location perks: You're just a stone's throw away from Hollywood, meaning you can enjoy easy access to entertainment hotspots, chances for celebrity sightings, and iconic landmarks, including the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Budget range: Be ready to dig deep into those pockets for this one.
10. An ultra-luxurious Beverley Hills Airbnb with panoramic views
Looking for an extravagant stay in Beverly Hills? This LA mansion is the ultimate pick. You’ll enjoy eight double bedrooms, eight and a half bathrooms, multiple lounges, and tones of top-notch amenities, including a wine cooler, wet bar, foosball table, and elegant fireplaces. Outside you’ll find a spacious pool, several outdoor seating areas, a large garage with three car spaces, and even a basketball court (for those who want to practice their three-pointers). You can even book some extra activities or excursions for an additional cost. Just give the host a heads-up beforehand for some exclusive recommendations and arrangements.
Beds? Eight bedrooms. Sleeps sixteen-plus guests. The space: A glassy lair with killer views. Location perks: After a chill day by the pool, head down to Santa Monica for a beachfront dinner and capture a moonlit selfie on the pier. Budget range: This one’s a splurge (and that’s putting it lightly).
11. A classical French-style estate close to North Beverly Hills Drive
From the moment you arrive, this Beverly Hills Chateau takes your breath away. A grand dual staircase welcomes you as you open the front door, leading to an open-concept hallway complete with a stunning chandelier - a sneak peek of the luxury inside. With six bedrooms in the main house and two more in the guest house, each with ensuite bathrooms and stand-alone showers, the accommodations are pure luxury. But, while each room is undoubtedly stunning, the real showstopping is the master suite. Featuring a sauna, steam shower, walk-in closet, and a cozy lounge area with a fireplace, we have a feeling you’ll be battling over who gets to enjoy this ridiculously fancy space.
Beds? Eight bedrooms. Sleeps 16+ guests. The space: With ample indoor and outdoor space, this property is a perfect option for hosting large gatherings, extended family getaways, or perhaps even creating a magical setting for a dreamy wedding ceremony. Location perks: Whether you’re shopping on Rodeo Drive, chilling on the beach at Santa Monica Pier, or having a family adventure at Universal Studios, there's no shortage of exciting activities to fill your days around this property. Budget range: The nightly rate at this place might give you a panic attack.
12. A mid-century villa compound in Beverly Hills
This unique rental was created by a renowned architect, championing retro vibes and a playful layout while also bringing the outside in for a truly unforgettable stay. You won't be able to get away from the views (but we have a feeling you won't be complaining...) thanks to the window-heavy structure, and there's an array of plush lounge areas to settle down in for a night of drinks and good conversation. You can also expect a pool, jacuzzi, pool table and pink kitchen.
Beds? Seven bedrooms. Sleeps 14 guests. The space: Like a Bond villain's lavish lair, or the Thunderbirds' base. Location perks: Closeby to two airports, three beaches, and multiple attractions from Hollywood to Rodeo Drive and Universal Studios. Budget range: Not much more than $100 a night if you split between 14 – very doable.

Take a deep breath and relax as you discover the therapeutic craft of incense making. • You’ll discover the origins of incense and its use in ancient timekeeping and ceremonial practices while savoring traditional Korean tea and snacks. • Learn how incense once served as a precursor to perfume and its diverse applications in rituals and medicine. • Immerse yourself in the art of natural incense making by mixing your own batch with organic woods, herbs, resins + oils. You’ll leave feeling refreshed and inspired, with your very own natural incense packaged in a beautifully crafted pine wood box.
Flavors & Fables - a West African home feast
Step off the sidewalk in Hollywood and into the heart of West Africa with an intimate dinner at my apartment. I’ll take you on a culinary journey through the sights, sounds, and flavors of my home country. • You’ll savor a feast for the senses with an evening of storytelling, music, and of course, delicious food. • Indulge in my “A Taste of West Africa” menu – a carefully curated three-course family-style dinner that celebrates the rich and vibrant flavors of West Africa. • Immerse yourself in the diversity and depth of West African culinary traditions as I share the colorful history behind each dish. After sharing conversations and connections over dinner, you’ll leave with a full heart and a full belly.
Journey through LA’s vibrant art scene
As a culture writer for outlets like Vanity Fair, it’s my job to discover art galleries, stores and eateries that shape neighborhoods and cities. On this experience, I’m thrilled to share the best of my home, LA's historic Arts District, with you. We’ll visit some of the essential spots and undiscovered gems loved by locals like: • A local rooftop, where we’ll toast our adventure while overlooking the city. • Cutting edge art galleries, some of my favorite stores, and unique snacks by way of Little Tokyo. • We will end our adventure at one of the Arts District's most famous and historic breweries. You’ll leave the district with a deeper appreciation for the neighborhood's rich history, artistic culture, and constant evolution.

The Official Hollywood Sign Walking Tour w/ Comedy & Photos
My friends JB, Elko, Jon and I are comedians and actors who have done some work on NBC, ABC, Netflix, and even Jimmy Kimmel Live! We're just 4 dudes trying to make it in LA. We're gonna tell you approx 3000 jokes (some dad-related) about Los Angeles, ourselves, our experiences in LA, maybe a Justin Bieber story? Also, no one has better dad jokes than us. Not even my own dad. (Sup Dad)! This experience is great for groups, teams, and individual solo travelers. We're about becoming best FRIENDS. At the start, I’m gonna hand you the best tasting WATER in the history of water. From there, we'll have y'all laughing so hard at our jokes and stories that you'll forget that we are hiking up a hill to the Hollywood Sign. Did we just become best friends?? WHAT ABOUT THE PICTURES? We stop at the BEST PHOTO STOPS for your own Cover Shoot. I've designed this hike for IG and can GUARANTEE You'll get 10+likes/photo. You’ll receive PROFESSIONAL photos of the sign, the skyline, and scenic panoramas that may break the internet with likes. Other tours take 1-2 pictures. I'll give you 75+ (Best Friend Move). We've been doing this for 6 years and love to show you how LA is done by an actual local and not a "tour company." Please Note: Tipping tour guides is America is customary and always appreciated. It's not mandatory but is the best way to show your guide that you had a great time!
LA's Top Surfing Experience
Before you come: We will try and contact you to size you for a wetsuit/board to help speed up the pre-lesson portion, and also give you an update on the conditions for your lesson. 20 minutes before the lesson: We will have you sign a waiver and get into your wetsuit. First 45min- hour of lesson: We will be on land and cover all of the basics, technique, and safety. The following 30-40 minutes: we'll be in the water together. I'll help you get into waves and give you instruction in the water to help you surf your first wave(s) The remaining time: you'll show what you've learned, We'll be a little more hands-off and either join you in the water or watch from the beach. At the end of the lesson: we'll head back dry off and change out of the wetsuits. --------- A couple of other notes : - If you'd like a private lesson feel free to message me - We will treat you like a person, not a number: We keep smaller classes (7 people or less unless specially requested otherwise) for a more individualized experience. We won't 'stack' our classes back to back and leave time between classes. This means you have time to change before and after class without cutting into your lesson time, you actually get a full class. - We include free photos and mean it, no deceptive pricing tiers. Free is free.
Fabulous views, Hike Runyon Canyon with rescue dogs
A morning hike to stunning city views, in a dog friendly park with our rescue dogs! Non-profit, all proceeds go to the very dogs you are walking, who are also up for adoption. We'll meet friendly people on the way and let them know about the dogs. A nice walk up hiking trails to the top of Runyon Canyon. Fantastic city views, and the perfect view of the Hollywood Sign! As you climb your way up the hill with your new pals in tow, you’ll be exercising and socializing the dogs, and letting locals know they’re up for adoption. You’ll also become a puppy paparazzi and take their photos in front of panoramic backdrops—you can even pose with them with the famous Hollywood sign behind you. Your pictures will then be used to generate interest in the rescue organization, attract potential adopters, and bring in donations that will help further care for and foster the dogs until they find their forever homes. NEW! We have added afternoon hikes Thursday through Saturday. Watch the sun set from 1000 feet above LA, amazing view as we walk down Runyon Canyon... and then you can go explore Hollywood and West Hollywood, a short walk away for an evening coffee or dinner! This experience is great for groups and great for teams! We love to host private and corporate groups, and socializing with the dogs is great for team-building!

Something for everyone
Your guide to los angeles, what do locals do in los angeles.
Like in any big city, where you go and what you do can really depend on who you ask. However, Los Angeles isn’t just an urban playground, it’s a city that stretches out to the beach, up the hills, and even into a canyon. One thing is certain: Don’t expect to find people hopping from West Hollywood to Manhattan Beach in one day unless it’s a special occasion — LA traffic is very real, and most people plan day trips when leaving their respective neighborhood.
Dine in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA)
Over the last 20 years, the DTLA scene has changed dramatically from a place where nobody walks in LA to an area buzzing with award-winning restaurants, museums, shopping, and entertainment. Old Hollywood charm exudes from early 1900s buildings, where at the press of an elevator button, you’re zipped up to rooftop bars for happy hour; meanwhile inside the historic Grand Central Market, food tours led by locals lead you to some of the best bites in LA. For those short on time or want to skip the ride shares: Hop on the Metro to quickly get from place to place. Little Tokyo and the Arts District are some of the favorite go-to areas.
Spend a day in Silver Lake
Silver Lake is still the place to go see emerging indie acts and undiscovered musicians in dive bars and small clubs, but it is also an extremely walkable Eastside neighborhood. Rent paddle boats on the Silver Lake Reservoir, or walk it alongside families, pets, and couples. For shopping and people watching, take the stroll to Sunset Junction, a stretch of boutiques, cafes, and restaurants on Sunset Boulevard.
Shop at the Rose Bowl Flea
While this shopping destination is in Pasadena, not Los Angeles, locals love making the trek to California’s largest flea market. Typically held the second Sunday of a month, this event draws hundreds of vendors who stake out spots to sell antiques, collectibles, clothing, you name it, in front of the Rose Bowl stadium. Pro shoppers and interior designers know to go for the early bird special (when doors open at 6:30am), long before the brunch crowds emerge for the early afternoon. Always check ahead of time for the most up-to-date information on entry.
What is local beachlife like in Los Angeles?
You can take to the sands on some 15 beaches in LA County, notably Malibu, Santa Monica, Hermosa, and Manhattan Beach. One of the best ways to get from beach to beach is on bikes or rollerblades along the Marvin Braude Bike Trail, also partly known as The Strand. Each beach offers its own personality and perks, but no matter where you end up, there are plenty of beach activities for everyone from volleyball and surfing to brunch cruises and beach picnics. For those looking for something quintessentially LA: go roller skating at Venice Beach, or get in on a training session from celebrity trainers through Airbnb Experiences.
Can I hike from the Griffith Observatory to the Hollywood Sign?
Griffith Observatory is perhaps one of the most beloved hikes in LA, a place where you might even cross paths with a celebrity who is getting their steps in for the day. One of the more typical hikes starts on the 2-mile trailhead of the Greek Theatre. Expect the best views of the city, and if you go further, you can even stand above (and behind) the iconic Hollywood sign. The best way to ensure you stay on the right path is to go on guided hikes with in-the-know locals.

Your guide to Los Angeles
Introduction.
Los Angeles is the ultimate insider's city, as first-time visitors quickly discover. The sprawl of strip malls and apartment buildings can seem anonymous and daunting until you consult friends or online guides who can direct you to the city’s electric cultural and artistic life. Los Angeles’s racial and ethnic diversity make it one of the most exciting culinary destinations in America, whether your appetite leads you to Korean, regional Mexican, or Persian food. One day may bring you to Venice Beach or the Santa Monica Pier for a stroll, and the next day on a strenuous hike in Topanga Canyon. Downtown Los Angeles’s art museums attract global attention for their forward-thinking collections. You can also spend several days walking — yes, walking — around Silver Lake or Beverly Hills, dipping into boutiques and stopping at cafes.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Los Angeles
Idyllic weather is one of the reasons Los Angeles became the film industry capital, and you can count on heat and sun for most of the year when you’re on vacation here. There’s a reason so many Angelenos wear sunglasses and carry water bottles.
After a hazy month of June (the locals call it “June Gloom”), LA’s hot season lasts between July and late September, when the average daytime temperatures are in the 80s Fahrenheit. Spring and fall deliver weather that is slightly cooler, but still pleasant enough for short sleeves and light clothing. December through February is the rainy season, when the lows can dip into the 40s. Your consolation is seeing the city’s gold hills turn bright green.
Top things to do in Los Angeles
Griffith park.
Los Angeles’s biggest park is more of a district, with more than 4,000 acres of trails, attractions, and serene picnic spots. You can wander around the famous Griffith Observatory, the backdrop to dozens of famous movie scenes, or bring your children to the historic Merry-Go-Round carousel. The western edge of the park includes several steep trails climbing to the Hollywood Sign.
Hollywood Walk of Fame
You’re more likely to see a celebrity at some vegan cafe in Silver Lake than here, but the frayed glamour of Hollywood and the Sunset Strip still exerts its charm. Check the schedule to see if the iconic TCL Chinese Theatre is offering tours and screenings, or wander along Hollywood Boulevard, looking down to see whose famous handprints are pressed into the concrete.
The Getty Center
Half of the reason people take the tram up to the Getty is for the museum’s art collections, which favor Greek and Roman statues and European paintings from the medieval era through the 19th century. The other is the setting: You can spend an hour or two meandering through the cultivated gardens, admiring a landscape that stretches to every horizon.
