While on a bareboat charter, you decide your itinerary and the pace of your holiday – where you anchor each night and what activities you do around the Islands.

Some people have incredibly adventurous bareboat charters focused on sailing, resort hopping, hiking and snorkelling. No license is required for a Yacht Charter in the Whitsundays, unlike other locations Worldwide, however some experience is essential.

To charter a sailing vessel, you will need to have sailing experience and be competent in handling a sailing vessel in most conditions.

On the morning of your Charter we do a comprehensive boat and area briefing and if you feel that you are not comfortable captaining your own ship, we are happy to arrange for a Sail Guide for your Charter.

If you wish to do nothing at all on your holiday, and leave the work to us, we can also arrange a hostess/cook and crew.

Boating licences and qualifications are not a requirement for charter hire however, your experience and boating know how is important to ensure everyone’s safety and enjoyment on board. Book your double cabin for yourself and your partner to join our intimate shared charter , 2 night Great Barrier Reef tour sailing around the azure waters of the 74 Whitsunday Islands. 

Our boat is a custom built 13 metre catamaran that offers expansive deck space and an open plan interior.

We specialise in providing discerning couples with a high quality sailing tour with gourmet meals and showcasing private secluded locations for our guests to explore the Great Barrier Reef from above and below the water’s surface.

Our yacht had a full upgrade in 2014 and we re-fitted the guests double cabins with new beds and high quality linens and throw cushions to provide a comfortable environment.  

The open plan saloon is the gathering place for beautifully prepared nourishing meals, and a place to get to know fellow travellers and make new acquaintances.

We do not accept party people on our shared charter sailing tours as our boats provide a high quality Great Barrier Reef holiday experience

She is a 43 foot catamaran which is the perfect stable sailing vessel for the waters of the Great Barrier Reef.

And for the skipper and boat crew they were very pleased with the new cock pit and hard top.

She has the latest in marine navigational gear and electronic aids.

Whitsunday Getaway 2-Day, 2-Night Sail - Sample Itinerary

Day one .

Arrive at Coral Sea Marina South – Meeting Point ‘C’ 2:30 pm to begin your Whitsunday Getaway experience. Your skipper and hostess will be waiting to greet you and welcome you aboard your floating home for the next few days. After a quick vessel safety briefing, we begin sailing effortlessly, passing through surreal island scenery. There is endless beauty to behold while underway and plenty to learn from your knowledgeable crew while you search for the perfect protected bay to drop anchor for the night. Guests are welcomed and encouraged to try their hand at sailing, and whether you are a beginner or a seasoned sailor, our experienced crew are always happy to share their love of sailing and the sea with others. You may also opt to relax with a refreshing drink instead, lapping up the luxury of the boat while the crew take over. Choose to do as little or as much as you like on this voyage, the world is your oyster!

As you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and get to know your fellow travellers, your hostess will be preparing your first gourmet meal. After dinner, continue relaxing with the company of your new friends, taking in the tranquillity surrounding you. When you’re feeling drowsy, take a last glance across the shimmering waters and turn in for the night in your comfy cabin, where you’ll be rocked to sleep by the gentle ocean swell.

Don’t sleep in – there’s too much to do! The crew are up early to make you a ‘cuppa’ and prepare your fabulous continental breakfast. After a pleasant and invigorating sail, it’s time to visit the euphoric Whitehaven Beach , with its remarkably pure silica sand. Experience first hand why this beach is often rated the most beautiful in the world! After enjoying a few hours on the beach, your hostess will take you on an informative guided bush walk up to the picture-perfect postcard that is Hill Inlet lookout. This view is not to be missed as it is a once in a lifetime opportunity to view the stunning and intriguing swirling sands that make Whitehaven’s Hill Inlet world-famous!

After a superb buffet lunch back onboard Getaway, we make our way up to the northern Whitsunday Islands to snorkel a vibrant underwater world filled with colour, life and beauty. When the evening sets in, so do the sails as we make our way to another spectacular anchorage to spend the night, reflecting on the day’s excursion.

Indulge in your final breakfast onboard Getaway and seize the opportunity for one last snorkel, or try your hand at stand-up paddleboarding. As we sail back towards Airlie Beach, soak up the raw beauty of our alluring island archipelago while relaxing on the spacious deck and forward outdoor lounge.

Upon returning to the mainland, we guarantee you will remember this once in a lifetime trip with a smile and fond memories of your adventures with us in the Whitsunday Islands. Whitsunday Getaway 3-Day, 3-Night Sail

Meet your crew at Coral Sea Marina South 30 minutes before departure for a headcount. Depart the marina at 3 pm and sail to overnight anchorage and sunset sail.

After Breakfast, sail to Tongue Bay for a guided bush walk to Hill Inlet Lookout, a spectacular lookout overlooking Whitehaven Beach . Back on board to enjoy lunch before heading around to Whitehaven Beach. Enjoy an hour on the beach before setting sail and heading north along the eastern side of Hook Island. Overnight anchor in one of the many bays on Hook Island.

After Breakfast, either use the stand-up paddleboards or snorkel over fringing coral reefs. After lunch, make your way to another beautiful bay for a chance to snorkel, swim, sunbathe, or take a stroll along the beach. Mid-afternoon set sail for an overnight stop at Hayman Island or Langford Island. Enjoy a drink and pre-dinner snacks while you watch the sunset over the water.

After Breakfast, enjoy a swim or snorkel then it is time for morning tea/brunch. Set sails and make way back to Airlie Beach Coral Sea Marina, arriving at 1 pm.

Terms, Conditions and Travel Policies

We highly recommends that guests read the following policy:

All future decisions regarding your booking will be guided by the Terms and Conditions outlined in this policy.

Cancellation Policy for Individual Travellers.

We RECOMMEND ALL GUESTS have Travel Insurance which covers cancellation for a variety of reasons, including Pre-trip COVID cancellation cover. Cancellation due to contracting COVID or as a close contact will now no longer be considered a valid reason to cancel or postpone a trip.

Extended / Overnight Tour Cancellations

If you or your guests cancel:

Between 30 and 60 days of departure, you will forfeit 25% of the ticket price.

Between 14 to 30 days before departure, you will forfeit 50% of the ticket price.

Within 14 days of departure, you will forfeit the full trip fee.

Travel Insurance

The Operator strongly recommends that guests have travel insurance to:

Cover valuable items (e.g. Cameras, Luggage)

Protect against unforeseen flight or coach cancellations, road closures or late arrival into Airlie Beach for any reason which subsequently leads to missing the scheduled departure time,

Cover medical conditions that may occur during carriage, and the associated extra costs of accessing medical care around the islands, including returning to port or emergency air evacuation.

Cover against an emergency where you need to return to port urgently, e.g. a family member becomes very ill,

Cover against full ticket refunds, including the agent commissions component

Please ensure that the guests understand the details of the cover included for the Travel Insurance to ensure that it covers the above for their peace of mind.

Guests should note that sailing, snorkelling and aquatic activities can be dangerous, and while our Crew will make every effort to ensure guest safety, Explore Whitsundays and the Operator cannot be accountable for the actions of guests that are beyond the Crew’s control. Guests should be aware that marine stingers and other marine life live in the tropical waters of the Whitsunday Islands.

Guests will be required to complete a pre-departure questionnaire and sign a travel agreement during the check-in process. The Operators have the applicable Shipowners insurance to cover public liability for our guests and staff. A copy of the certificate will be forwarded if required.

Travel Agent Fees

We recommend that guests who book through an Agent read the agent’s terms and conditions before booking. The Operator will not be responsible for the refund terms and conditions of your travel agent if for whatsoever the trip is cancelled.

Itineraries and Weather

The Operator reserves the right to alter the tour or the itinerary of any of its tours and organise alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. The Operator will always consider the safety of guests and staff, and as a result, some locations may not be visited if the wind, visibility or wave/tidal conditions are not suitable or parts of the park have been closed by the managing authority. If it is raining, our tours still operate, as the guests can still experience the Whitsundays, including swimming and bushwalking. If the winds are light, the tours will still run; however, it will be necessary to use the motors on the boats to travel between locations.

We do not provide any guarantee that the winds will be consistent and from a suitable direction to make sailing possible. The Whitsundays is deemed partially smooth waters, and tours will only be cancelled if the Regional Harbour Master closes the area due to gale warnings or the Operator deems it unsafe to travel. If tour cancellations are necessary and ticket balance payment or pro-rate refunds are approved, the amount being paid for the ticket to the Operator will be refunded. Explore Whitsundays does not cover additional costs over or above the ticket amount. We do not guarantee a refund of the travel agent commission component or any other costs associated with the guest’s travel arrangements.

Minimum Guest Numbers

All vessels require a minimum number of guests to operate. The Operator reserves the right to cancel a scheduled trip if the minimum number of guests is not met. Where possible, the Explore Whitsundays will offer an alternative TOUR of a similar or higher standard.

Dietary Surcharges

Please be advised that guests on overnight vessels who request alternative dietary requirements (Such as vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, gluten-free and dairy/lactose-free) will incur a $15 surcharge payable on check-in.

Please note that we are unable to accommodate Halal and Kosher requirements.

The majority of vessels represented by Explore Whitsundays are owner-operated, with a small team provisioning for the vessels. Airlie Beach is a remote location and does not have the same access to alternative foods as metropolitan areas.

We believe food is very important for our guests’ experience and re-fuelling for a day of activities.

Guests are asked to limit luggage as storage on yachts is minimal. Guests should pack in soft-sided bags, NO hard case trolley bags, please. Please note that there is NO luggage storage available at the Marina. There are options available on the Main Street of Airlie Beach.

Guest Behaviour

The Operator has the right to refuse to board guests who arrive intoxicated or who appear to be under the influence of illegal substances. While on tour, guests must abide by instructions from the Crew. Guests must also abide by the Law, and public nuisance, harassment, abusing our staff or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Guests who refuse to follow instructions and jeopardise the safety and security of the Crew, guests, themselves or the vessel may be restrained and removed from the tour. All associated costs of removal will be borne by the guest, and no refund of ticket monies will be provided.

English Language Comprehension

We ask that all guests (or at least one member of your party) have a good understanding of English. This is especially critical when guests are participating in water sports, swimming and snorkelling.

If customers cannot understand English, it is important that a companion traveller speaks English and can translate for the non-English speaking guest.

We do have snorkelling summaries in other languages, which are provided for guests to read. If guests have any concerns at all, please get in touch with us before departing.

Guest Bed or Cabin Allocation

We will always try our best to accommodate our guest’s cabin requests.

Due to limited resources, this cannot be guaranteed. Alternatives will be offered, and if accepted, the booking will be completed.

Check-Out Times

The Operator will ask guests to vacate their accommodation and pack up their luggage on the final day to allow commencement of accommodation servicing.

Important Information

Cruise Ship Passengers:

If your cruise ship itinerary or departure times change within the cancellation policy of your vessel, we will do our best to assist you in finding other alternatives. However, in most cases we will not be able to issue any kind of refund. It is for this reason, that we strongly recommend you have travel insurance, as cruise ship schedules are known to change frequently.

Your Responsibilities:

Please advise us before booking if any passengers are under 18 years old to ensure this is the appropriate trip. 

You must reconfirm all booked tours prior to travel as specified on your voucher. If applicable, notes such as dietary requirements, pick-up locations and additional fees should also be confirmed at this time. Reconfirmations cannot be actioned through Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel, and must be done so directly through the Service Operator as specified on each ticket.

It is your responsibility to notify us of ticket discrepancies. Please read through the details on your voucher thoroughly to ensure all details such as passenger names, ages and dates of travel on vouchers are correct.

It is the responsibility of all passengers travelling to advise both your travel agent at the time of booking and the vessel check-in agent before boarding of any medical conditions including food allergies you may suffer from.

You need to allow adequate time to check-in prior to the specified departure time. 

Prices/Extra Costs:

All prices are stated in Australian dollars and include GST. Surcharges over peak holiday seasons may apply. 

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices and extra costs. Extra costs may include EMC fees, Stingersuit/Wetsuit Hire, Luggage Storage, Insurance, Linen Hire, National Park Fees, Fuel Levies, Dietary Fees, etc. Bonds may also apply.

We will also endeavour to communicate these extra costs with you at the time of booking, and on your ticket. However, it is your responsibility to confirm which (if any) additional costs apply with each Service Operator upon reconfirming your trip.

Travel Risk/Insurance:

It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of our clients which are beyond our control. We highly recommend that all clients have travel insurance covering illness, injury, loss or damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on the confirmed date of departure. You should also ensure your travel insurance will cover special circumstances including weather events preventing guests from travelling to their tour departure destination and cancelled flights due to unforeseen circumstances. 

Merchant Fees:

Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees so there is a non-refundable 1% surcharge for VISA and MASTERCARD card purchases.

Other:

All ticket/voucher reissues attract a $20 administration fee.

Open Date Vouchers / Gift Certificate:

Shipping Costs are in addition to the ticket price and will be added at check-out. Shipping costs are non-refundable and do not makeup part of the ticket value. 

E-Vouchers incur no shipping fees. You have 5 years to use the value of the voucher. Seasonal Price Rises will apply if travelling out the current seasons pricing. Vouchers can be exchanged for free up to the full value of the voucher excluding credit card fees and charges.

Cancellations

Client Cancellations:

All cancellations forfeit the non-refundable deposit. All balance payments are due 2 months prior to departure. Failure to pay the remaining balance before this scheduled date will result in termination of the charter and forfeit of the non-refundable deposit. Once the balance payment has been made, no shows and client cancellations made within 30 days of departure forfeit 100% of the full ticket price.

It is compulsory that all cancellation requests are in writing and sent via email to [email protected]. Cancellations attempted via online chat or phone will not be actioned.

Supplier Cancellations:

The Service Operator reserves the right to alter prices, alter itineraries, apply a fuel surcharge, cancel departures, arrange alternative transport and vary itineraries and services if necessary.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather. Tours may be changed or cancelled for any reason at the discretion of the Service Operator. If the Service Operator has to cancel the trip or activity (prior to departure) and we cannot offer a suitable alternative, then a refund will be given minus a 20% administration fee and any associated card fees. We strongly recommend that you have travel insurance, especially during the wet season.

In the unlikely event of your trip being cancelled or stood down, all guest communication is required to go through our Online Store via telephone or email. While there is a Sailing Whitsundays retail outlet located Airlie Beach, please be aware that they operate as a separate entity and are unable to access reservations made by the Mr Travel online department.

All refunds are in Australian Dollars and must be made to the card of payment. Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel is not liable for exchange rate fluctuations or fees, or any other merchant/bank fees associated with domestic and/or international transactions.

Where a full refund is applicable, there is the option to transfer the whole cost of the tour to another tour or “Credit” to avoid the administration fee. A transfer fee of $20 will apply.

You will be emailed confirmation once the refund has been processed. Once the refund has been processed, it may still take time for the banks to clear the amount. Please allow 7-10 business days for the funds to clear into Australian accounts and up to 21 business days for international accounts.

Accountability/Misconduct:

All Service Operators have the right to provide client feedback and to cancel bookings based on feedback from other Service Operators.

Sailing Whitsundays/Mr Travel will treat this as any normal client cancellation and therefore the cancellation fees stated in the Client Cancellation Policy will apply.

Hear the word ' Whitsundays ' and there's little doubt your mind will jump to a world of silica-white sands, azure waters, a sun-soaked yacht adventure around its 74 islands , or yes, even a helicopter soaring above spectacular Heart Reef. 

Yes, the Whitsundays is all of those things, but what if you identify as a land person or perhaps you'd just like to experience a side to the region you haven't seen before? 

It's with this question in mind that I set off to Airlie Beach with my husband and two daughters (15 and 11) in tow to see what the flipside of one of Australia's favourite family holiday destinations can serve up.

Nailing the accommodation 

If previous visits to Airlie Beach have taught me anything, it's that this resort town - considered the gateway to the Great Barrier Reef - is hardly lacking when it comes to quality accommodation.

Home not only to the Coral Sea and the rainforest covered hills of the Conway National Park, but to a wealth of resorts, holiday parks and self-contained properties, the jewel in its crown - at least where travelling with kids are concerned must surely be BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort , a property's that's received more awards than I've enjoyed hot dinners.

The resort's popularity makes sense of course; with its wealth of accommodation options ranging from 74 multi-room condos, cabins and villas, to 161 powered slab and grass sites for campers and caravanners, every budget is covered, and it offers an endless list of activities. 

Don't fancy the 13-slide water park, heated swimming pool (Airlie Beach's largest resort lagoon-style), 18-hole mini golf, giant jumping pillows or the pedal cars? You could always opt for hanging out with the feathered and furry residents of the onsite petting zoo, or sign up for any of the activities in its year-round activity program

The timing of our arrival is almost perfect. While a row of 10 new condos were unveiled in early July, the all-new (and fully accessible) kids' club is still days away from opening its doors. I'm thrilled with our three-bedroom condo (sleeping up to eight guests) which features two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen complete with coffee maker and dishwasher, laundry and a large deck centred around the barbeque.

Overwhelmed by the activity program handed to me by reception (everything from sand art and pancakes by the pool to outdoor movies and macrame, we head across the road to the Reef Gateway Hotel where we enjoy an evening of trivia and chicken parmigiana while working on a plan of what to do next. See you on the flipside

Cherene Poidevin, owner of Driftwood Tours , is the first to admit she's always been a 'land girl'. Having created and launched Driftwood Tours 18 months ago, Poidevin is all about showcasing a side of her beloved Airlie Beach (and surrounds) that many rarely see.

"Often, people will want to go to Whitehaven Beach or sail around the islands, but that's often because they don't realise just how much there is to do elsewhere," she says as she picks us up in her can for the half-day private tour we've booked to check out the region's lesser – known beauties. It's just one of nine tours available to book through her site ranging from a two-hour Best of Airlie to the eight-hour Sunrise with the Kangaroo adventure which is one of her most popular. 

Poidevin's disposition is as sunny as our surroundings, and we drive to our first stop - Whitsunday Gold Coffee, a coffee plantation complete with menagerie, cafe and kids' recreation area - she cheerfully gives us a rundown on the history of the area, the 200 varieties of sugarcane and the region's first inhabitants. Whitsunday Gold Coffee provides a welcome hit of caffeine and soon we're driving through a decidedly 'non-tropical' landscape over to Dingo Beach which, with barely a ripple in the reef-protected water, is incredibly tranquil and picturesque.

"Oh, it's quite crowded today," she says as she nods towards the (only) four people walking along the beach, and we set stuck into making pictures out of shells and enjoying what Poidevin refers to as 'Caveman TV'. It's lovely, but it seems we're only getting started: Dingo Beach is followed up with visits to Froggies Beach, a hidden gem in Cape Gloucester where the sand is pure-white and the water is a vibrant turquoise, and then onto Cape Gloucester Resort where guests can pop in for lunch, swim in the pool overlooking the beach and enjoy live music come Sundays.

Accommodation options are available too, but we're on the clock, so after a brief visit at nearby Montes Reef Resort where locals are enjoying afternoon drinks to the sounds of INXS, we finish our tour with chocolate milkshakes at what might be the ultimate surprise: George's Diner, 50s-style diner located at BIG4 Conway Beach. 

Exhausted after a long day in the sun, we arrive back at our accommodation happy and educated. As I tell Poidevin before we part, I'm certain I've seen and learnt more about the Whitsundays on this tour than all of my previous visits combined (Also, Cherene is a real joy to hang out with). 

Crocodiles rock

Fun fact: the Whitsundays' Proserpine River is home to the state's largest concentration of saltwater crocs - as in, it's absolutely teeming with them. It's a reptilian population Steve Watson, owner and manager of Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is probably quite relieved about. "We've done 6,800 tours since I started the company 24 years ago and in that time we've only had 12  tours where we didn't see any crocs due to unusual weather events at the time," Watson explains the following morning after we're picked up from our accommodation and driven 45 minutes out to where they've set up a camp alongside the muddy river.

When Whitsunday Crocodile Safari says it's the Whitsundays' only crocodile tour, they're not kidding: the company only offers one (incredibly popular) tour kicking off from pick-up at 8.30 to drop-off at 3pm and incorporating a two-hour croc-watching cruise on the river, a barbeque lunch, a Wetland Wagon Train Tour and then damper and billy back the campsite. With 32 people in our group, our tour - like most run by the company - is at capacity, prompting  me to tell you now how important it is to book this tour well ahead of your trip. 

We're on the water for less than a minute before we see our first gargantuan saltie, and then 30 seconds later, we see another, then another and then a few more. Each sighting of these crocs - each with seriously improbably names like Doreen, Colleen and Lenny - is viewed alongside fascinating stories told by Watson as he steers us this way and that way, constantly turning the boat so guest on either side of the boat can see the beauties who are mostly happily sunbathing.

"Oh, there's Ruby!" He says he steers us towards his favourite toothy gal. "She's quite maternal - most crocs only have their babies with them for a month but Ruby looks after hers for at least six months." 

Soon we're all engrossed in a world that feels very much like a reptilian version of Days of our Lives; we've learned about who's dating (okay, mating) who, which one is the loveable larrikin and what happens to the poor crocs when humans do stupid things. Lunch, a feast of steak, chicken, barramundi and sausages served with sides and lamingtons  helps us digest this new soap opera world, while the wetlands tour provides a welcome look at the kangaroos and wallabies enjoying the lands not too far from danger. 

My verdict on the tour? It's one of the best things you can do, not only in the Whitsundays, but in Australia. 

With a afternoon flight upon us the following day, we're determined to enjoy the best of everything BIG4 Adventure Whitsunday Resort has to offer, spending our final hours riding the pedal cars, stroking the chickens, sheeps and goats, playing a speedy nine holes at mini-golf and trying as many of the slides as we can.

We've clearly done this all wrong; the next time we'll stay for a whole week and make the most of the resort as well as the tours. Only then will we finally say we've done the Whitsundays justice.

This ensures your food is less travelled and their is less wastage on your superyacht charters. All of our Captains are environmentally conscious of their yachting impacts and maintain structured policies to ensure they leave their destinations with what they came with.

Comprehensive Breakfast served daily with Eggs, Omelettes, Bacon, Sausages, Mushrooms and Hashbrowns and selections of Bread, Muesli and Granola, Juices, Preserves and Yoghurt. Instead of a Buffet style breakfast they can serve one Signature Breakfast dish, changing daily as outlined in suggested menu.

The yacht crew do their very best to accommodate all dietary requirements with advance notice. The below is a sample menu only.

Travel Insurance

We highly recommend you secure comprehensive travel insurance at the time of booking your YOTSPACE superyacht charter. This can be arranged through your luxury travel agent or a travel insurance company of your choice.  On purchasing this Travel Offer you are bound by the General Terms and Conditions, in addition to the specific terms and conditions outlined in this Important Information. Please ensure to read full Terms and Conditions .

Yacht Charter Departure:  This is a sole charter YOTSPACE superyacht voyage. Each luxury yacht charter voyage is a departure based on the receipt of the full payment on or before the eighth week of embarkation. Should the yacht fail to depart voyagers will be given the option of choosing another luxury yacht option with similar or same inclusions, costs and terms and conditions of the superyacht that was originally requested. Should we not find a suitable replacement yacht a refund less any bank merchant fees and a 10% administration fee will apply. We always recommend Travel Insurance and that all ancillary travel reservations have flexible conditions.

Payment Policy To secure a luxury yacht charter voyage with YOTSPACE, a 50% deposit or full payment is required within forty-eight (48) hours of receiving confirmation of Your booking request.  Full payment is required on or before sixty (60) calendar days (8 weeks) before the Voyage Departure date. If the departure date is inside the sixty (60) calendar days (8 weeks), full payment must be paid at the time of booking.  As mentioned above, due to potential operational, Government directives, weather issues or other disasters out of our control we cannot guarantee that all voyages will depart.  Your YOTSPACE superyacht agent will notify You in the event the luxury yacht charter is cancelled.

Guest Cancellations Cancellation requests must be made in writing.  You are strongly advised to speak with your YOTSPACE crew member with regard to the purchase of specific travel insurance for the luxury yacht charter at the time of booking.  Cancellation requests received sixty (60) days or less prior to voyage departure – forfeiture of 50% deposit – Should we re-sell that reserved voyage, for that departure, for that date, prior to the Superyacht charter departure, an administration fee equal to only 10% of the voyage shall apply along with any bank or merchant transfer fees.  Cancellation within Thirty (30) days or less -100% of full Charter Fare to be forfeited.  Failure to board at the time of the luxury charter yacht voyage departure – 100% of the total Voyage Fare forfeited to the Contractor YOTSPACE.  Note: Please refer to each individual private charter agreement prior to confirming your yacht charter agreement as these cancellations conditions may alter on some occassions such as peak season or special events.

Covid/ Pandemic Policy Should a pandemic or an outbreak occur and disrupt travel plans in the destination of departure or a ruling government prevent travel, all paid bookings will be held for future travel when permitted and subject to availability.  Guests may be moved to another luxury yacht charter with similar or the same terms and conditions of the deferred voyage at no charge. Guests may also have the option of a refund of monies paid less any bank merchant fees and a 10% administration fee subject to the terms and conditions of the individual yacht charter agreement. Please consult your YOTSPACE superyacht crew member and update your travel insurance policy for the change of voyage date and change of yacht.

Provisioning Policy: Should the superyacht charter voyage be cancelled last minute and the superyacht has already been supplied with the advanced provisioning of fresh food, supplies and beverages, the cost of the provisioning will be applied to your charter cost fees and no refund applies.

Whitsundays Superyacht Charter – Sample Itinerary

All of our YOTSPACE superyacht voyage itineraries are specifically curated with the charter guests requests in mind. Our luxury superyachts will endeavour to follow the voyage as described in each custom itinerary and the passenger accepts that each superyacht Captain has the right to change the itinerary, the yacht, or cancel the cruise as a result of some Unexpected Event or prevailing inclement weather conditions. The passenger accepts that the passenger will not be entitled to any compensation or a refund of the fare paid should this occur. The Whitsundays luxury yacht charter itinerary is an example only. Cruise itineraries are subject to weather conditions and the Captains discretion.

Child Policy

All YOTSPACE sole charter superyacht voyages are intended for both adults and children who are travelling with family dependant on the region of the voyage. Children under the age of eighteen(18) (minors) will be accepted in circumstances where the charter is a sole charter voyage and cruising in a safe region. Parents and guardians are to take full responsibility for the children at all times. This must be agreed directly with the Contractor.

Covid – 19 Policy

YOTSPACE and our superyacht captains take the safety and wellbeing of passengers very seriously. The superyacht follows on-board sanitisation protocols to ensure the vessel is highly sanitised at all times. All guests are to register their principle place of residence and disclose to the company (YOTSPACE) if they have recently visited a Covid-19 hotspot in the 3 weeks prior to departure. We will require passengers to visit their GP and provide a health report 72 hours prior to departure. Climate & Average Temperatures

The Whitsundays enjoy a sunny climate with mild winters and warm summers, perfect for making the most of the outdoors. Plan ahead with this information on temperature and rainfall.

Summer (December – February)   During the height of summer temperatures can be up to 29 to 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit) Water.

Winter (June – August)   Average daily temperatures range from around 22 to 23 degrees Celsius (73.4 degrees Fahrenheit) in the winter months of June and July. Keep your eyes peeled for the annual Humpback Whale migration in the Whitsundays.

The other months remain a welcoming 25 degrees

Gratuities / Tipping

Gratuities (tips) are not included in the superyacht voyage price for services of the crew throughout the cruise. Tipping is optional and at the passengers discretion. In the superyacht industry it is normally the practice on sole charters that the prime guest gives a cash tip to the Captain and crew. However tipping the crew is entirely up to yourself. If you feel you have been extremely well looked after then we are sure the crew would really appreciate the tip. You may do this of your own accord or with your other guests on the superyacht voyage.

Day 1 Airlie Beach – Stonehaven Anchorage

Fly over the magnificent Whitsunday Archipelago and land at beautiful Airlie Beach. We can organise transfers from the airport to our berth at Coral Sea Marina where Captain Sam and his crew eagerly await to whisk you away on your luxury yachting holiday. Welcomed on board with champagne, canapés and cold towels – make yourself at home as we don’t waste time tied to a wharf and head straight for our anchorage. 

Stonehaven Anchorage is a picturesque location on the North-Western Side of Hook Island and a great location to start the trip. We will arrive mid-afternoon/early evening. Once settled at anchor, drinks and canapés on the top deck watching the stunning sunsets that occur at Stonehaven. In the galley the first of many meals is being lovingly crafted especially for you so join us on the aft deck for the culinary journey to begin. The only thing better than the food is the view.

Day 2 Stonehaven – Blue Pearl Bay

After waking up in this glorious place, you can start the day right with a quick dip and a hearty breakfast prepared by your personal chef. A morning paddleboard or kayak over the fringing reefs is also a popular start to the day. We will move from Stonehaven to Blue Pearl Bay after breakfast and set up the FunAir slide.

After water activities and lunch we have the option to go for a snorkel or check out “The Gap” for a photo opportunity followed by a sunset stroll through Tuna Alley with a beer in hand. A cheeseboard and drinks on the coral beach is an option too, (just bring some beach shoes). We will remain here for the night before an early morning departure to Butterfly Bay.

Day 3 Blue Pearl Bay – Butterfly Bay /Mantra Ray Bay

We are on the move again, not to worry it’s only a short 20 minute cruise around to Butterfly Bay. Butterfly Bay is one of the few Great Barrier Reef Marine Parks Green Zones. Green Zone areas are the highest level of protection throughout the Great Barrier Reef, which means an abundance of Marine Life. We will once again be immersing ourselves in a day of activities on the water.

After lunch we highly recommend a short tender ride to Manta Ray Bay for one of Captain Sam’s favourite snorkelling destinations in the Whitsundays. We will remain here for the night and can enjoy watching the marine life do its natural thing by night through the underwater lights, whilst enjoying an interactive BBQ on the aft deck with the chef.

Day 4 Butterfly Bay – Whitehaven Beach

It’s unfortunately our last morning onboard before we make our way back to Coral Sea Marina, Airlie Beach.  We will aim to drop our mooring at 5am and get underway for an approx. 1.5hr journey to one of the most photographed beaches in the world – Whitehaven. Once settled on anchor, feel free to take a swim in the pristine clear blue waters of Whitehaven Beach. Breakfast will be served, and you can soak up the last of this beautiful view before we motor back to Coral Sea Marina.
