CHECKMATE Yacht for Charter

The beautiful, quality construction and contemporary-chic interior of the Joan Brown-designed, 145-foot (44m) motor yacht CHECKMATE, built in 2013 by Benetti, makes her the ultimate charter yacht for cruising.
An on-deck master suite with 180-degree panoramic views, Zero Speed stabilizers, VSAT Internet access and a spacious sun deck with a day head are just some of her bespoke assets.
Superyacht CHECKMATE can accommodate between 10 and 12 guests in five stunning staterooms. Her interior is a beautiful blend of cherry and Burr Madrona woods and beautiful, Indian marble. There is ample space on the sundeck for lounging, with the added convenience of a day head. Remove the bridge deck’s skylounge aft doors to create an incomprehensible 270-degree alfresco dining space. VSAT ensures a constant Internet connection.
No luxury yacht charter is complete without donning one of CHECKMATE yacht’s eight sets of snorkels and heading below the waterline to check out the stunning sea life below.
Motor yacht CHECKMATE has 33-foot Ocean Waves tender with twin 300hp Suzuki outboards and an 18-foot Williams jet tender. Her toy chest includes two Sea-Doos, two stand-up paddleboards, two towing tubes, a wake board and fishing gear.

Her interior is styled by French designer design house Zuretti and she was delivered to her owner in January 2013. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Stefano Righini and she was last refitted in 2022.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 Acert) 1,300hp engines running at 1800rpm, she comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 15 knots with a range of up to 3,500 nautical miles from her 60,000 litre fuel tanks at 12 knots. Checkmate features at-anchor stabilizers providing exceptional comfort levels. Her water tanks store around 9,500 Litres of fresh water. She was built to ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) ✠A1, Yachting Service, Ⓔ, ✠AMS classification society rules, and is MCA LY2 Compliant.

Benetti Yachts Launches Superyacht “Checkmate” for U.S. Client
After the traditional breaking of the champagne bottle across her bows, the superyacht slipped smoothly into the Mediterranean from a specially built yacht ramp to the notes of Giuseppe Verdi’s “Và Pensiero”.
Present at the ceremony were the owner (a well known yacht owner / surgeon from Washington, D.C. ) and his family, together with all the Benetti Yachts yard staff involved in her almost 2 year long construction and fitting out.
CEO of the Mega-yacht division of the the Azimut /Benetti Group, Vincenzo Poerio, declared during the ceremony: “ We are particularly proud of our latest launch, the 100th fiberglass yacht built in Viareggio since 1998. This is a further demonstration of Benetti’s ability to listen to the Client and interpret his specific needs; and above all, another example of a perfect blend between timeless design, world class construction, safety and an extremely high quality on-board life, both for the owner and his crew ”.
