"[They] have inspired generations of future athletes, both on the professional and personal level."

With that level of well-known clientele, you may assume that Gold's Gym costs an arm and a leg. But not all Gold's Gym locations are all that pricey. In fact, many are more in line with what 24 Hour Fitness and Anytime Fitness cost, rather than Equinox and Life Time Fitness . Here, we delve into Gold's Gym pricing, including how much Gold's Gym memberships cost and what amenities you can expect at the fitness centers.

How Much Does Gold's Gym Cost?

There's no one set membership price for Gold's Gyms. Worldwide, Gold's has locations in 23 countries, with over 580 international gyms and over 200 gyms across the United States, according to a Gold's Gym representative. And each of those locations has their own pricing model, so there's no straightforward answer to the question of how much a Gold's Gym will cost — you'll have to look up your local club and request pricing information.

That said, we looked at the pricing information of various Gold Gym's across the country to learn as much as we could about Gold's Gym pricing — and here's what we found.

Gold's Gym Membership Pricing

While all locations have their own pricing models, most Gold's Gyms seem to offer at least two tiers of pricing: a basic membership (that typically allows for access to a single club) and a premium-level membership (that may guarantee access to more than one club, or special classes or training opportunities).

For instance, in Downtown Los Angeles, there are two membership plans advertised. The first is the Single Basic annual plan, which costs $55 per year (with a $59 enrollment fee) and allows for access to cardio and strength equipment at that club only. The second is Platinum Club Access, which costs $59 month-to-month (currently discounted to $55, and with a $1 enrollment fee) and includes access to additional amenities — unlimited group exercise classes, unlimited body composition scans using the InBody machine, access to the pool, sauna , steam room, and jacuzzi — and entry into any of the Gold's Gym SoCal locations.

Meanwhile, in Washington DC's Georgetown Park location, there are also two membership options. Here, the Platinum membership costs $40 biweekly (with a year-long contract) and the Black membership costs $50 biweekly (but is a month-to-month agreement). Both memberships offer access to 20+ Gold's Gyms, travel passes to all Gold's locations, group exercises classes and more — with the Black membership additionally allowing for a guest pass with each visit and access to recovery options.

In Texas, plans range from $35 per month for a year-long commitment to $40 per month with a month-to-month agreement. Other states, like Wyoming and Oklahoma, also have membership prices that hover around that $35 per month cost.

The bottom line: Gold's Gym membership prices and membership options vary widely. To get the most accurate information, find the location near you using the Gold's Gym website and navigate to your local club's offers from there.

Gold's Gym Enrollment Fees

Something to consider when signing up for Gold's Gym is that you might have to pay an enrollment fee. In our research, we saw fees as high as $99, while other clubs had none. Regardless, you're usually expected to "pay your first month dues the day you join, and an annual fee" a Gold's Gym representative says to PS. "For company-owned gyms, they do not charge enrollment and have 12 month or month-to-month options."

Can You Try Gold's Gym For Free?

Yes, you can typically try Gold's Gym for free using a trial pass . Remember to read the fine print, though, as there may be restrictions, like guests having to be 18 or older or not being able to use a free pass if you've been a member or visited as a guest in the past six months. Contact the gym you're interested in directly to set up your free visit.

Additional Price Considerations

Amenities vary by each Gold's Gym location, per a Gold's Gym representative. At most locations, a variety of group fitness classes are offered with the program Les Mills or Gold's Gym's own group fitness programming, known as Gold's Studio. These classes may include Zumba, cycling, bootcamp, or yoga classes . There are also typically recovery amenities, including cryotherapy or compression therapy boots . But access to group fitness classes and additional services is dependent on your club and membership plan.

Most Gold's Gym locations also have an option to sign up for personal training, and the fee per session varies by location. Gold's Gym offers an app as well, where members can check-in, reserve classes and find locations nearby.

It’s also important to note that many yacht clubs have additional costs beyond the annual membership dues. These can include initiation fees for new members, monthly minimum spending requirements at the club’s facilities, and additional fees for docking, storage, and maintenance services.

Additional Considerations

Some yacht clubs require yacht ownership as a prerequisite before being accepted into the club. Hence, while the yacht club membership itself might only be between $500 and $2,000, the true price of a yacht club membership might be tied to the cost of ownership of your yacht as well.

You'll find Admirals Clubs in nearly 50 airports worldwide, including major American hubs like Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW), as well as outposts in nonhub airports like Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and London's Heathrow Airport (LHR), among others.

There are a handful of ways to access the Admirals Club before your next flight — let's take a closer look at your options.

Access Admirals Club on same-day flights

Regardless of how you gain access to the Admirals Club — through a membership, class of service or AAdvantage status — know that you must present a same-day boarding pass on American, a Oneworld partner airline or a flight marketed by Aer Lingus and operated by American.

This means that if you're an Admirals Club member traveling on United Airlines, you won't be able to access the Admirals Club.

Lifetime Admirals Club members are exempt from the same-day flight requirement and any airline restrictions for entry into the clubs.

Access Admirals Club with credit cards

Arguably, the best way to access the Admirals Club is by opening the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard® (see rates and fees ), which comes with a welcome bonus of 70,000 AAdvantage miles after you spend $7,000 in purchases within the first three months of account opening. Cardholders also receive a complimentary membership to the Admirals Club, which largely offsets the $595 annual fee. With this membership, you get access for up to two guests or immediate family members traveling with you (with a same-day boarding pass for an eligible flight).

The real hidden gem of this card comes from its generous authorized user policy. You can add up to three authorized users to your account for $175, then additional authorized users for $175 each. Authorized users get Admirals Club access when they hold a same-day ticket on American or its partners.

Because of this, some may even consider splitting the annual fee with several authorized users to bring down everyone's lounge costs.

Just be aware that authorized users do not get a full membership, but rather just access. This is critical because their privileges only extend to Admirals Club locations, not partner lounges. Nevertheless, it's still a valuable way for you to make the travel experience easier and less stressful for your friends and family members who travel on American or partner flights.

Access Admirals Club with a paid membership

If opening a credit card is not appealing, you can always purchase a membership. Here's how much you should expect to spend:

You can also use miles to purchase an Admirals Club membership at 1 cent apiece. Per TPG's June 2024 valuations , American miles are worth 1.7 cents, so we generally don't recommend redeeming American miles this way.

Admirals Club one-day pass

You can use one-day passes at some Admirals Club locations. These are available for purchase for $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage miles. During peak hours, however, be prepared to be turned away with a one-day pass.

Access Admirals Club with elite status

Elite status access rules are nearly identical for the Admirals Club and Flagship Lounge, so if you have a choice, go to the Flagship Lounge.

American AAdvantage and Alaska Mileage Plan elites

If you hold Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald status through American AAdvantage (via Platinum, Platinum Pro or Executive Platinum status) or the Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan (via MVP Gold, 75K or 100K status), you and a guest can access Admirals Clubs or Flagship Lounges on qualifying international itineraries operated by American or a Oneworld partner, even in economy class.

Other Oneworld elite members

If you are a Oneworld Sapphire or Emerald member with a program other than AAdvantage or Mileage Plan, you and a guest can access an Admirals Club or Flagship Lounge when traveling on American or another Oneworld carrier.

Loyalty Point Choice Rewards

The following Loyalty Point Rewards are available in 2024 to help you get into an Admirals Club. When you reach the following point thresholds, you can choose a reward. Here are the rewards specific to Admirals Club access:

• 175,000 Loyalty Points: Six one-day passes.
• 250,000 Loyalty Points: Six one-day passes or an Admirals Club membership (remember, when you achieve this tier, you can select from two Loyalty Point Choice Rewards, but the Admirals Club membership requires both of your selections).
• 400,000 Loyalty Points: An Admirals Club membership (requires two choices).
• 550,000 Loyalty Points: An Admirals Club membership (requires two choices).

Access Admirals Club with certain fare class

While standard domestic first-class tickets won't get you access to Admirals Clubs, the following types of tickets will:

• Business- and first-class tickets on international American- or Oneworld-operated flights.
• Domestic Flagship-ticketed flights. This includes Flagship nonstop flights between: John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), John Wayne Airport (SNA) or San Francisco International Airport (SFO); Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and LAX; Miami International Airport (MIA) and LAX.

Again, if you're flying through JFK, LAX, MIA, DFW or ORD, you should seek out a Flagship Lounge. Still, Admirals Club access can be a benefit for premium transcontinental passengers originating in Boston or San Francisco.

You won't be able to bring in a guest if you're getting lounge access this way unless you're flying in international first class, in which case you're allowed one guest so long as they're on the same flight.

Military access to American's Admirals Club

With a valid military ID and same-day American Airlines boarding pass, U.S. military personnel traveling in uniform can access the Admirals Club and most partner club locations. You can bring in your immediate family or up to two guests.

However, uniformed U.S. military personnel can't access these two partner lounges:

• Aspire Lounge in San Diego International Airport (SAN)
• JAL Sakura Lounge in Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL)

MEMBERSHIP INITIATION FEES

Monthly dues.

Moorage fees are charged as the sum of Base Rate per slip or boathouse space ($105.65) plus the square footage occupied @ $.1459 per square foot*. Typically, the total cost for moorage space varies from $180 for a small sailboat to $400 for a very large boathouse.  *Fees for open moorage single slips on concrete rows are 11% higher ($117.27 + $.1622/sf).

A $16.00 electric base fee is charged for all PYC moorage slip assignments.   Electric meters owned by PYC members will be billed for electricity use at the rate of 9 cents per kilowatt used.   City water is included with your moorage fees.

All Boat Owning, Non-Mooring Boat Owning, Senior Boat Owning, and Intermediate Boat Owning, are subject to the monthly $20 Outstation Fee.  This fee is used for maintenance of the Outstation throughout the year. *Does not apply for Surviving spouse, Junior, Non-Resident, Associate, or Senior Associate members.

Current minimum per calendar quarter minimum for food and beverage expenditures is $75. All cruising and in-house charges for food and beverage apply to this minimum. Ship’s Store purchases do not count towards the minimum. Only the unspent portion will be billed at the end of each calendar quarter.  Senior Boat Owning and Senior Associate are required to spend 50% of the standard food and beverage fee. *Does not apply for surviving spouse, junior, or non-residents.

• Internationally Recognised : Above all else, AYC is recognised internationally through our staging of events such as Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta, The Caribbean Laser Team Championships, The North American Optimist Championships, The RORC Caribbean 600 and our hosting of Antigua Sailing Week. We are affiliated to the RYA (Royal Yachting Association of Great Britain), and members of The International Sailing Federation, and the Antigua & Barbuda National Olympic Committee. • Sailing Programs : Regular events such as Green Island Weekends, Round the Island Race, The High Tide Christmas Series, and the Nelson’s Pursuit Race have become a tradition among our members and visitors alike. Other racing/cruising events are added to our calendar every year.
• Dinghy Program : Our Youth Sailing Programme offers our youngsters training on Lasers, Picos, Optimists, Zoom 8’s, and Sports 16’s. The programme has proved successful in bringing the community and Club together over many years. Many youngsters have developed a high level of skill, taking them on to represent Antigua at Caribbean and International levels. Many have found career opportunities in the local and international Yachting Industry.
• Use of any dinghy must be by prearranged and approved by the AYC dinghy program Manager.
• Sailing skills will be assessed, regarding the use of sailing equipment and lessons may be required. Fees may apply.

        Cadet’s membership and sailors up to 18

• Cadet members must be enrolled in a sailing program in order to use AYC equipment.
• Cadets members with their own equipment cannot sail unsupervised and must also be enrolled in an AYC Dinghy Program at a reduced rate.
• Sailor code of conduct and parent code of conduct rules apply.
• The Manager of AYC Dinghy Sailing Program must authorized Cadet and Junior membership.
• Dockage Facilities : There are limited docking facilities for members, at a nominal cost. There are 7 berths, serviced with water and electricity.
• Recognition at CSA (Caribbean Sailing Association) Events : Most CSA events offer discounts to AYC members.
• Assistance with Overseas Regattas : For our members participating in Caribbean and International Events, the Club has helped with entry fees, travel, and boat rentals for those who need or merit it. Fund raising events are held regularly in support of our Olympic hopefuls, aspiring juniors, and team and match racers.
• Club Sushi & Steak House: Full Voting and Life  Members are offered a 20% discount on all food upon presentation of their membership card. Certain drinks during ” Happy Hour” are available at EC$6.
• Bar-B’s Bar & Restaurant : Full Voting and Life Members are offered a 10% discount on all food and beverages upon presentation of their membership card. There is also a “Happy Hour” every evening.
