Position: Deckhand on a 50M private Motor Yacht in Dubai, starting ASAP. Requires Yachtmaster, STCW95, ENG1, PBL2 certifications. Must be confident in Tender drive, dynamic, and willing to learn quickly. Longevity preferred. Mixed nationalities crew. Salary: 2800 eur with 3.5 days leave earned per month worked.

Yacht Deckhand
A deckhand is responsible for cleaning and maintenance of the exterior of the vessel. He/she assists the Yacht Captain during manoeuvres and port entries. A deckhand often has experience in the superyacht industry and is eager to learn further to make progress. It is essential that the deckhand be able to perform assigned tasks with a positive attitude and interact with owners and guests in a professional manner.
Job responsibilities of a Deckhand on a yacht
- Ensuring cleanness of the yacht (polishing of stainless steel items, everyday maintenance of window glass, cleaning and treatment of teak…)
- Assisting the bosun in maintenance works (sanding and gluing for varnishing or painting, caulking, filling …)
- Continued learning of maintenance, operations and technical systems
- Assisting the captain during manoeuvres and port entries
