The Friendship 75 is the largest of the Friendship fleet, yet she continues the simplicity in handling that is indicative of the Friendship designs. She is the largest size boat confidently handled by two, yet sacrifices nothing towards interior volume and finish which are unmistakably the essence of luxury living.
As the Friendship 40 and the Friendship 53 did before her, the Friendship 75 introduces a new concept, the idea that a larger boat be sailed by the owner without the necessity of a crew; for the owner to get on his boat and drive it out of the marina or mooring. This idea of owner handling is a departure from the norm in the opulent world of yachting where the boat is largely controlled by the crew and the owner is a guest.
With owner handling in mind, control of the 75 is centrally located in the sculpted varnished teak helm pedestal that houses the mainsail furling buttons, boom vang control, as well as two 10” pop up display screens that can function with the radar and GPS. The primary and secondary winch controls are mounted where the helmsman’s hands would be while at the wheel. The small flush mounted buttons will control the genoa sheeting; foot buttons will control the furling, leaving one hand for steering. Everything is perfectly arranged for maximum control with the minimum amount of effort.
Being a practical sailor, the owner paid particular attention to his intended use of his new boat and took that into consideration when designing not only sail handling, but also the interior layout. Having closely studied the lifestyle requirements of yachts in the 90 to 100’ range and discussing lifestyles onboard, it was resolved to design a 75’ boat with two luxury VIP cabins, expanding on the idea that “bigger does not always mean better.” There is also a well appointed third twin cabin amidships for a third couple or children, or for the switch to “yachting mode” when the service of a captain and stewardess is preferred. The pilothouse is outfitted not only with navigation station, but also features a wet bar and cold wine storage to entertain up to six around the u-shaped settee and custom teak table. This makes for an ideal entertainment area when experiencing cooler weather.
Despite the smaller number of cabins, the 75 has forfeited nothing with respect to luxurious appointments and comfort. The interior joinery in every area, from the cabins to the galley to the salon and pilothouse, features ornate Edwardian-style glossy varnished teak with additional interior appointments that are as functionally perfect as they are exquisitely constructed. The talent and experience of Ted Fontaine set the Friendship 75 apart from other yachts, regardless of size.

DESCRIPTION
MM751 - 75m performance catamaran Sleek, streamlined, stealth like.
Shrouded by dark hull sides and a glass superstructure, MM751 encases its occupants in a stylish arrangement that is completely new to the world of superyacht design.
With low-profile exterior lines that run uninterrupted from bow to stern, this 75-metre sailing yacht has a particularly linear look, accentuated further by a sloop rig that stands 88 metres above the deck.
“Whilst seeking a large and comfortable sailing yacht with excellent performance, the client also specified that onboard spaces should be more like those associated with motor yachts. By ‘unpicking’ traditional arrangements such as saloon lounges and a general flow forward from the aft, we were able to create a more organic dynamic that sees interior living spaces spread across both hulls and with key areas running full beam.” – Malcolm McKeon
This new configuration is most evident in the innovative superstructure and cockpit arrangement. The typical style of a sailing yacht superstructure has been divided in two, creating a glass canopy that extends aft and a glass coachroof forwards, separated by a flybridge helm that sits nestled between the two. This unique layout dispels the usual flybridge/sun deck arrangement as well.
The twin helms benefit from a 360-degree vantage point and, whilst there’s a built-in bank of seating between, the wide teak walkways port and starboard encourage you on to the foredeck or aft to the pool.
A minimalistic approach has been taken with the design of the deck spaces in order to keep them versatile, but that doesn’t stop MM751 boasting a six-metre-long pool aft with an adjacent fire pit, and sunken outward-facing seating areas port and starboard. These stepped arrangements cut into the teak and into the hull side, sitting sheltered behind enormous panels of glass.
When it comes to onboard lifestyle and amenities, being able to equip the yacht with large tenders was a key design consideration. A 12m guest tender is stowed to port and a 9m crew tender is found to starboard. MM751 serves as something of a platform to facilitate water sports, scuba diving and extended coastal excursions. With the tenders deployed, fold-down balconies in the hull sides create a gym and additional deck space that can be shaded if desired.
At MM751’s stern, the full-beam swim platform can be raised and lowered, and provides options for a beach club setup.
Within, MM751 features an interior designed by m2Atelier. It adopts an open-plan layout for the main living area and this runs athwartships, progressing from a formal dining area to port, to a central lounge, and then a cinema lounge to starboard. The space is flanked by floor-to-ceiling windows in the hulls, which extend overhead to become skylights that bring an influx of natural light from above – reinforcing the all-important visual connection with the sea and surroundings.
The main galley has also been given a promotion to the main deck and resides to port adjacent to the dining room. In this way, food and drink is placed centre stage and the galley is best located to serve both the aft deck and dining room. Heightening the focus on fine dining further still, MM751 features a 600-bottle wine cellar beneath a statement glass panel in the main deck.
MM751 has accommodation for 12 guests across six suites. If desired, the forward section of main deck, where the master stateroom and VIP suite reside, can be closed off to become a full-beam owner’s apartment with private lounge. As access to the foredeck is via the forward lobby, this also privatises the forward deck space.
Accommodation for 12 crew plus an additional cabin for supernumeraries is located on the lower deck of the port hull.
The advantages of a catamaran hull configuration are many. With MM751, these are characterised by the minimal heel angle, greater stability, and expansive, uncluttered deck spaces.
Under motor, MM751 has a top speed of 17.5knots and a range of 2,000nm. At a more economical cruising speed of 12 knots, the range extends to more than 4,200nm. The diesel-electric system allows for silent operation at lower speeds and electrical regeneration while sailing with power fed back to the battery bank, in addition to the energy provided by solar panels in the glass skylight.
Under the prowess of her sails, MM751 will outperform true wind speeds, easily attaining 1.5 x wind speed in light airs and over 25 knots in stronger breeze – all with a heel angle of less than five degrees.
The sails run from captive winches with push-button control. The mainsail is a square top with boom furling, and the foresails are on hydraulic under-deck furlers with the downwind code sail stored on a drum in the forepeak.
MM751 is equipped with telescopic daggerboards, optimising upwind sailing performance whilst providing the option for reduced draft in shallower waters and increased efficiency while motoring.

Navetta 75 - The Absolute Sphere
The Absolute fleet flagship, Navetta 75 borrows her spherical shape from geometry to represent the shipyard’s quest for perfection and harmony in designing its latest boat.
As in a sphere, Navetta 75 embodies the best of all the Absolute creations that came before her and the shipyard’s signature features: technological evolution and sophisticated style, achieving the perfect balance of excellence and completeness.
Navetta 75 displays the design innovations that make Absolute recognizable and admirable worldwide: surprisingly wide windows for an immersive visual experience, high ceilings, rooms arranged on a single deck and covered walkways accessible from the inside, both from the kitchen and from the raised helm station.
Already a success on Flybridge and Coupé range boats, Navetta 75 also features an aft terrace cockpit with a glass rear parapet; the owner will be able to furnish it as desired to enjoy breathtaking views from here.
Finally, the boat features a bow master cabin with private access, luxury furnishings and premium finishes.
The space on the Navetta 75 is comparable to what you would expect from a larger yacht. The full-beam owner’s cabin is located at bow , with private access from the main lounge and an en-suite bathroom. On a raised level compared to the lower deck, it offers a broader view of the sea, greater privacy and more quiet. The middle of the boat also houses two double cabins with private bathrooms and a twin bed cabin with a dayhead.
The boat meets both practical and aesthetic needs with sliding doors and generous storage compartments , ensuring that sleeping and living areas are always neat and comfortable.
Versatile and functional, the captain’s and sailors’ quarters at the stern can accommodate up to three beds, with a bathroom and private kitchen.
Seamlessly reflecting the interiors, the external areas are optimized to ensure the highest versatility and ease of movement onboard. With two stairways to quickly climb to the flybridge, from the stern and the bow, the crew can move wherever needed, ensuring privacy for the owner and without interfering with guests. A third and a fourth mooring station are available to enhance the two steering consoles for unparalleled manoeuvrability . Thanks to modular furnishings and the absence of fixed structural elements, the flybridge and cockpit areas can easily adapt to different needs, ensuring a truly unique and immersive onboard experience.

M5 (ex Mirabella V) restyled by Pendennis Shipyard
M5 's stern was remodeled at the pendennis shipyard in falmouth, uk and completed her sail trials successful..
M5 was originally built in 2004 as Mirabella V . Until she is still the largest sloop with over 75 meters (length of the hull) and an almost 90 meters long mast.
Designed and manufactured by Carbo-Link with OYS making the fittings, the 34 new carbon fiber stays, and titanium fittings with built-in dynamic fiber optics have decreased the weight of the rig by 18 tons. The sail trials not only established the M5 ‘s potential speed but tested the new system and balance of the yacht under sail for the first time. During several hours on the water with challenging sea conditions, the remodeled boat performed well, reaching 17.7 knots in 18-23 knots of wind.
The project, due to be completed over the next month, has seen a collaboration between Pendennis and the original designer Ron Holland , to achieve the Owners idea of extending the stern by 3m which has created a new sleeker profile providing an impressive aft deck area. During the refit, Pendennis has completed extensive engineering works and the interiors have been redesigned by UK company Redman Whiteley Dixon .

Works on the major refit of the 75-metre superyacht M5 (ex Mirabella V) at the Pendennis facility in Falmouth are progressing as planned. The new developments to the world’s largest sloop rigged sailing yacht M5 are already taking shape.
Luxury yacht m5 (ex Mirabella V) before refit - aft shot @Alexis Andrews
As announced previously her visit will see the installation of a new 3m stern extension with naval architecture by megayacht m5 (ex Mirabella V)’s original designers Ron Holland Design . The new composite stern manufactured by Green Marine is now in place with the post-cure scheduled to commence shortly. In conjunction with this, a significant amount of new open deck area has been added aft of the communications arch on the top deck (known as the flybridge) which is also undergoing remodelling. Once completed, these new areas will add a significant amount of flexible social space to the exterior of m5.
Post refit render of sailing yacht m5 (ex Mirabella V) - Aft shot
Further structural changes also include the installation of a new side boarding platform, extending out from the port hull to water level. The splash mould has left Pendennis and is currently with the door manufacturer for construction. The aperture in the hull is scheduled be cut this month in preparation for the new door structure to be bonded in. The hull and superstructure of the 75m superyacht m5 will be undergoing a full repaint over the next few months by the Pendennis in-house paint team. Preparation work for this large scale operation has already started, with areas not undergoing structural modifications primed ready for the new paint system.
Pendennis working on sailing yacht M5
The flybridge furniture which was previously made from moulded composite has now been removed in preparation for a new flexible furnishing option to be fitted. In the main living areas, the Owner’s quarters and main saloon as well as lower deck guest suites have mostly been stripped out in preparation for new interiors designed by Redman Whiteley Dixon and manufactured by Pendennis in conjunction with SINZ ( SuperYacht Interiors, New Zealand ). Work on installing these will start during November.
m5 superyacht under refit at Pendennis
The programme of engineering work running alongside this schedule is also substantial. Most equipment in the engine room and technical spaces has been removed, with large shipping holes created in the decks to hoist equipment from the depths of the M5 yacht. Pendennis is replacing all primary systems including new main engines, generators, shore power units, and switchboards. There is also an overhaul of all other systems with major rewiring currently taking place in preparation for this major upgrade.
As the project progresses over the next few months, luxury yacht m5 will be re-born, modernised and upgraded throughout, providing a truly impressive cruising experience for all that board her.
Refit of the 75m megayacht m5
Pendennis will be attending the upcoming Fort Lauderdale Boat Show . Its stand will be located in the Yacht Builder’s Tent, Stand 669, where a team from the company will be available to answer any questions about the 75m megayacht m5 (ex Mirabella V) or any other recent projects at Pendennis.

Kermor – now Runaway Bunny – 75′ Sailing Yacht
Kermor, the first yacht built by JFA Yachts
“A modern hull shape, directly influenced by our racing experience, but specially adapted to cruising….a fine bow entry for comfort when passing through waves, a stern transom designed for stability under sail with special control and flair when going downwind’ This is how Pascal Conq – chief architect at the firm of Finot Conq resumes the design. Two months after being launched Kermor took to the open ocean to undertake a circumnavigation and continues her voyage to this day.

The next generation of Sport Yacht has arrived. Striking exterior features, modular furniture configurations and a contemporary interior finish deliver an exciting yacht reaching speeds of up to 40 knots with twin MAN V12-1550 or 1900 engines.
A design concept that balances beautiful architecture with functionality is central to Sunseeker's 75 Sport Yacht. The symmetry of the stern is a feature in itself. Dual steps lead from the bathing platform to the aft cockpit, with a tender garage capable of housing a Williams 395.
The yacht profile turns heads with stainless steel air intake cowlings and exterior handrails, contributing to the high-quality finish. The aft cockpit benefits from a classic seating arrangement whilst the aft sunpad is an ideal sunbathing space, with a large storage compartment concealed underneath. A traditional second helm is accessible on the spacious flybridge via a stairway. Adjacent companion seating on the starboard side, adjoined by a chaise-longue sunpad, offers an uncompromised view of the water. Meanwhile, up front there is a spacious foredeck with seating and a table for six.
The design extends throughout the interior. Exquisite woods, contrasting fabrics and rich lacquers, paired with indirect and dimmable lighting, create a sophisticated and striking ambience. Bold features include carbon fibre trims, sharp accent designs, reflective surfaces and stainless-steel cabinet detailing. A double-piece windscreen improves visibility and invites light into the main deck. The main deck seating centres around a fold-out table on the starboard side and a large television unit to port, all flooded by natural light thanks to the full height glazing. The comprehensively equipped helm station is forward of the U-shaped sofa, maintaining a typical Sunseeker layout.
The lower deck arrangement offers spacious accommodation for up to eight guests and two crew. A full-beam master cabin with dressing table fitted with storage, a chaise longue and plenty of additional wardrobe space. All three guest suites come with an en suite, and access to a shared day head is available from the lower hallway. The fully-fitted lower galley and dining space offer a social zone for intimate entertaining. Given the breadth of entertainment spaces on offer, spacious cabins and powerful sea-keeping, the 75 Sport Yacht promises to deliver an exceptional owner experience.

PRETTY LADY 75' (22.86m) Fleming Yacht for Sale
Posted March 15, 2023 in Brokerage & New Build by Ashleigh King
The 75′ (22.86m) Fleming PRETTY LADY is now for sale with Yacht Broker Bill Titus. The motor yacht is asking $3,995,000.
PRETTY LADY is a classically styled fast trawler that was a collaborative effort between Tony Fleming and naval architect Larry Drake. She is hull number four of the 12-hull run of the 75’s, presently being marketed as the 78′ model. PRETTY LADY is a beautiful result of her owner’s willingness to continue with the steeped tradition offered by her original build and concept team, the magnificent team at Delta Marine Services and her prior owners. She is continuously supported by a pride of ownership knowing no boundaries on exemplary care. She underwent an impressive 18-month refit between 2019 and 2020 at the command of her current owner and Delta Marine Service. The program mimicked that of a new build, including the replacement or service of mechanical and electrical elements, a refresh of all exterior paint surfaces and much more. This all focused on modernization and detailed refreshing to offer her family trouble-free cruising and great, well-deserved pride of ownership. Following her extensive refit completed in late 2020, PRETTY LADY has been maintained to a level above and beyond.
On her interior, PRETTY LADY boasts eight-millimeter teak framed, lightly tinted, counter-to-ceiling windows that offer almost 270 degrees of breathtaking visibility and natural lighting. LED overhead lighting, brand-new overhead ceiling panels and new air conditioning systems are found in the main salon and throughout the entire interior and guest spaces. There is a built-in bar area, an L-shaped settee with a cockpit table, an up-to-date galley with a dining table and a settee to starboard for six. She welcomes seven guests and two crew in three guest cabins and one crew cabin. Her guest accommodation layout comprises a spacious owner’s stateroom, a queen-double stateroom and a third guest stateroom that hosts a new arrangement with two single bunks and an upper bunk on the outboard side. This versatile layout is ideal for those traveling with small children or nannies.
Her exterior is classic in trawler style, look and feel. She is ingenious in the uses of space, sight lines and overall usability of the yacht. From bow to stern, efficiency and beauty appear everywhere. Sturdy ground tackle disguised as deck jewelry, solid bulwarks and handrails capped by rich varnished teak, traditional lapstreak styled hull, and multi-level covered decks. Each deck showcases a unique entertainment offering, from a casual hang-out on the aft deck to the exciting boat deck with space for dining and lounging. On the flybridge, new electronics and Navionics from Garmin adorn the recently refreshed retractable helm station. Two identical love seats flank the center multi-function helm chair.

Why lack of producer interference might get below deck sailing yacht season 5 canceled (they let gary king's bad behavior slide), below deck sailing yacht season 5’s daisy kelliher has changed (is she having a breakdown).
With Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 on the horizon, Gary King may have been invited onto the crew as a producer plant. Gary debuted on the series during the show’s second season as Captain Glenn Shephard’s First Officer after Paget Berry left season 1 . After his first appearance, he earned the label of a playboy on the sailing yacht. Gary hooked up with many women during season 2 and carried this behavior into each subsequent season he’s been a part of. Fans thought his actions were creepy and problematic , though he was never fired.
After starring on Below Deck Sailing Yacht in season 4, Gary was accused of sexual misconduct by a former makeup artist who worked on the series. The allegations made headlines, though production notably didn’t fire him from the show. Even after the accusations were revealed, Gary returned for season 5 , though they weren’t the first time his behavior was questioned. The First Officer acted out numerous times across his many seasons on the show, hinting that he was brought back to the cast to act as a producer plant.
8 Gary Brought Up His Off-Screen Romance With Daisy On Camera
They vowed to keep their hook-up private.
In an attempt to cause drama on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4, Gary revealed that he’d hooked up with Daisy Kelliher. The two yachties have worked alongside one another since season 2, though viewers were not aware of their romantic history with each other. When Daisy formed a boatmance with Colin Macrae, the yacht’s chief engineer, Gary grew jealous and revealed they had a past. The First Officer insisted that Daisy had feelings for him and was hooking up with Colin to get back at him while he was sleeping with Stew, Mads Herrera.
“Gary and I slept together when the season ended last year in Minorca, and we also slept together when we went to Disneyland.”
Instead of letting his friends carry on in their romantic relationship, Gary had to sabotage their connection by claiming Daisy wanted to be with him. The Chief Stew admitted she had feelings for both men but didn’t want to be “ one of [Gary’s] 10 million girlfriends ” and that he “ wouldn’t know a real connection if it slapped him in the face .” Daisy said she asked Gary to keep their hook-up to themselves away from the cameras, but he couldn’t resist creating a hectic reality TV moment. He sabotaged his friendship with Daisy for the show, which is further proof he could be a producer plant.
7 Gary Is Always Hooking Up With A New Woman Every Season
He’s had too many boatmances to count.
The First Officer has hooked up with many women during his time on Below Deck Sailing Yacht . Gary joined the crew of season 2 with a girlfriend at home but found no problem getting involved with not one but two women, Sydney Zaruba and Alli Dore, during the charter season. By the third season, he infamously hooked up with Ashley Marti and went on to flirt with Gabriela Barragan and Scarlett Bentley. During his most recent appearance on the show in season 4, he hooked up with Mads while admitting his feelings for Daisy amid her relationship with Colin. Gary may not be keen on monogamy, and that’s okay, but his behavior toward women isn’t. There were eyes on his behavior before the allegations came out, and now they’re at an all-time high.
6 Gary Inserts Himself In Drama
He’s attracted to the drama of it all.
Gary has been at the center of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ’s main conflict since season 2.
He appears to be drawn to drama and has never missed an opportunity to create conflict.
There was no need for Gary to reveal he’d hooked up with Daisy in season 4, especially if they agreed to keep their sexual past private. However, he couldn’t risk wasting the opportunity to assert his dominance and ensured the show’s main storyline centered around himself. Throughout season 4, Gary had an odd boatmance with Mads that rubbed many viewers the wrong way.
Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.
They had an instant connection with each other and began hooking up at the beginning of the charter season. Despite their chemistry, Mads made it clear that she didn’t want a romantic relationship with the First Officer. When Gary realized she didn’t want to be his girlfriend, he blamed her and said she led him on. He got incredibly angry with her during one moment when Alex Propson said she was on her period. Gary attempted to confront Mads in front of Lucy Edmunds after he chatted with Alex and told her it was her obligation and “ common decency ” to tell him if she was having her period when he “ went down ” on her. He should have had that conversation with Mads privately but chose to embarrass her in front of other crew members because of his personal feelings.
5 Gary Doesn't Come Off As Genuine
There’s something off about his presence on the show.
There’s something about Gary that doesn’t come off as genuine. He’s portrayed as a happy-go-lucky womaneater on Below Deck , though he’s had some rough moments on the series as well. He notably gets upset on deck quite often and has been known to demean his crew. Overall, Gary’s lack of self-awareness makes him appear incredibly disingenuous.
After the sexual misconduct allegations came out, he doubled down on his actions and defended himself. Instead of defending himself, though, Gary should recognize that he hasn’t acted perfectly in the past and has shown signs of bad behavior which have led viewers to believe the allegations against him. If he showed some compassion — on and off Below Deck Sailing Yacht — it would be harder to believe he was a producer plant.
4 Gary Is The Most Talked About Cast Member
Gary has been all the talk since he was accused of sexual misconduct.
There’s no doubt Gary has emerged as the most talked about cast member from the Below Deck franchise in the past few years. Reality TV unfortunately rewards bad behavior a lot, and he’s been brought back to the show season after season because he is a controversial crew member . Even though he stirred up a lot of conflict in season 4, he was invited back for the show’s fifth season.
Gary was seemingly filming for season 5 before the accusations came out, resulting in him still being a part of the crew. However, the Rolling Stone article included a statement from Bravo and Below Deck ’s production company, 51 Minds Entertainment, proving they were made aware that the allegations were going to be publicized. The filming period for season 5 is unknown, but it's assumed Gary had finished filming the series before the article was published in August 2023.
3 Gary Likes To Stir The Pot Between Cast Members
He loves to create conflict.
Gary stirred the pot to no length in his love triangle with Daisy and Colin during season 4. There was no reason for him to break the Chief Stew’s trust and reveal they had been intimate other than to cause drama with the chief engineer. Gary’s jealousy overcame him, and he created a rough dynamic among the crew by admitting he had feelings for Daisy . He went as far as to claim she wanted him and was using Colin to get his attention. Putting his relations with Daisy aside, it wasn’t right for him to bring that information up to embarrass Colin. He was friends with everyone involved but didn’t care about their feelings when he brought that information to the cameras.
2 Gary Knows His Romantic Endeavors Are Of Interest For Viewers
He gives the viewers (and producers) what they want.
Since he joined the Below Deck universe, Gary was labeled the “Playboy” archetype. It was astonishing for him to hook up with his co-workers when he had a girlfriend in season 2. Gary enjoys attention from women and hasn’t been known to turn anyone down on the show. He invites the controversy that comes along with being the Playboy on his boats. Gary knew the viewers would be interested in his off-camera relationship with Daisy, which is likely why he brought it up on the show. He will stop at no cost to produce a shocking reality TV moment, which is another reason why he’s been a part of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht cast since season 2. Without him, the show would have had less drama over the years, which is likely in the franchise’s best interest.
1 Gary Seems Like A Different Person Off-Screen
Viewers may not know the “real gary”.
Whether Gary is a producer plant or not, he’s certainly formed a good relationship with the show. Every reality TV personality plays up for the cameras, though the First Officer takes his persona to the next level. Gary knows he’s the Playboy of Below Deck Sailing Yacht , and he plays that part to the best of his ability each season.
Viewers will likely never know what type of person he is off the show, but there’s a chance his behavior is much different off-screen than on-screen. With the news of the allegations and backlash surrounding his casting, Gary should retire from reality TV and focus on his life away from the Below Deck cameras. It would be refreshing to see a new First Officer step into his shoes and breathe new life into the spin-off.
After years of being on Below Deck Sailing Yacht , Gary could be a producer plant. His actions over the years have raised red flags with viewers and made some question his behavior. Gary will make his return to TV with season 5, though it certainly could be his last with the franchise.
