In the world rankings for largest yachts, the superyacht, Imagine, is listed at number 576. It is the 5th-largest yacht built by Trinity Yachts, LLC.

Imagine is a custom motor yacht launched in 2011 by Amels in Vlissingen, Netherlands. The yard is the largest superyacht facility in the Netherlands, and Canadian billionaire Serge Godin is the owner of the 59-meter Trinity yacht Imagine. The yacht was launched in 2016 by Trinity Yachts, a world leader in building full-custom superyachts.

The 58.83m193 motor yacht Imagine was built by Trinity Yachts in the United States at their Gulfport, MS shipyard and delivered to her owner in July 2016. It has a beam of 10.2 m, a draught of 2.4 m, and a top speed of 20.0 kn. Her cruising speed is 16.0 kn, powered by two Caterpillar diesel engines.

In 2015, the company was bought by Harvey Gulf International. The 28-meter Pershing motor yacht Imagine has been sold with Ron McTighe of Luke Brown Yachts representing the seller and Nav 3 Marine LLC. The 27.96-meter Pershing motor yacht Imagine was sold in a deal with Nav3 Marine LLC.

Superyacht Imagine is the first Amels 212-meter vessel to be sold and renamed. The ownership of superyachts is generally private, but some notable owners include Larry Ellison, Tristan Rutherford, and Canadian billionaire Serge Godin.

Who bought Steven Spielberg’s yacht?

The original Seven Seas – whose name is inspired by Spielberg’s seven children – measured 282 feet and boasted an expansive spa, gym, beauty salon, and, of course, movie theatre. But the four-time Academy Award winner sold the ship to Canadian billionaire Barry Zekelman in 2021 for a cool $151m (the ship has since been renamed Man of Steel).

It seems Spielberg has caught the superyacht bug; the new Seven Seas is even bigger and more lavish than her predecessor. So, what do we know about the director’s latest ship? While Oceanco has remained relatively tight-lipped on the project, a few key details have emerged which we’ll dive into here.

The superyacht – previously known as project Y720 – was commissioned back in 2022 for a whopping $250m. She was built by Oceanco – the same shipyard that made Spielberg’s old boat in Alblasserdam, a town in the western Netherlands around 12 miles from Rotterdam. Omani billionaire businessman Mohammed al Barwani bought the luxury shipyard back in 2010 (he also owns Turquoise Yachts in Istanbul).

Recently February 2016, Yacht Starship opened Pirate Water Taxi, LLC a new 7-day a week scheduled water taxi service with 14 stops and vessels in Downtown Tampa.

Since 2001, Manthey has developed deep roots in Tampa Bay’s civic and business communities. He is the founder of the Tampa Attractions Association and President of Friends of the Riverwalk. He is a Leadership Tampa graduate 2003 who also serves on the Board of Directors for Visit Tampa Bay, Hillsborough County Hotel Motel Association, S.S. American Victory Museum Ship, Port of Tampa Maritime Industries Association and Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Pinellas Chapter.

Manthey also maintains many of the maritime profession’s most distinguished awards and credentials. He received two Meritorious Public Service Awards from the United States Coast Guard for participation on the Quality Action Team for Passenger Egress and Lifesaving, and for work on the Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) Committee. He is a past president and board member of the Maritime Navigation Safety Association and past chairman of the Port Safety Council in his native New Orleans. Manthey is past president of the Passenger Vessel Association 2005 (PVA), a national trade organization comprised of vessel operators, manufacturers, and related service companies (based in Alexandria, Virginia). He has served on the PVA Safety Committee since 1995, as committee chairman from 1997-1999. In 1999 the association honored Manthey with its Outstanding Service Award and 2003 with its Meritorious Service Award.

The 28-metre Pershing motor yacht Imagine has been sold with Ron McTighe of Luke Brown Yachts representing the seller and Nav 3 Marine introducing the buyer.

Imagine was built of GRP in 2015 in Italy by Pershing and designed by Fulvio Di Simoni .

Accommodation is for up to eight guests in four cabins and there are quarters for a crew of three.

The 90GT yacht is powered by twin 2,600hp MTU engines that give her a top speed of over 40 knots and cruising speed of 35 knots.

Imagine was last asking $5,299,000, lying in Fort Lauderdale, USA.
