Bolador - A Brief History. Our catamaran, Bolador, was designed and built in Barbados by John Tempro. The construction began in Welches (near the fishing town of Oistins) in March 1987 and took approximately 18 months to complete. It was during the building stage that John was often visited by a friend who had interest in the history of the island.
