10 Must-Visit Crew Bars Around the World

Sheer Rocks Antigua

Finally have some time to yourself and plan to spend it bar-hopping ashore? If you’re looking to find yourself amongst fellow yachties in your downtime, head to these bars beloved by superyacht crew in the world’s most popular yachting hotspots, from Antibes and Mallorca to Fort Lauderdale and the Caribbean islands.

Tap 42, Fort Lauderdale

Perfectly situated right next to Fort Lauderdale’s yachting district, it's a short trip from the marinas and crew accommodations to this budget-friendly Floridian gastropub. Tap 42 is known for its special deal days such as free drinks for ladies’ night every Wednesday and bottomless brunch on Sundays. The menu features typical American fare such as beefy burgers, moreish mac and cheese, barbecue ribs, and southern-fried chicken, plus fresh-caught seafood like grilled mahi mahi, jumbo shrimp, and ahi tuna tartare. The drinks list is populated by carefully curated, locally brewed beers and whiskeys.

Chat ‘N’ Chill, Stocking Island

Capt. Jeff Callahan of 31.55-meter Burger yacht Northland recommends this barefoot beach bar in the superyacht hub of the Exumas. He says the Chat ’N’ Chill is always “absolutely loaded with crew.” This buzzing hangout is famous for its Sunday Hog Roast and the menu is garnished with Bahamian beers and local dishes, including conch salad and burgers with a side of rice and peas. There’s plenty more to do than eat a meal there — visiting crew can swim with stingrays, mingle over a game of volleyball, attend barbecue parties, or even upskill with an on-site mixology course.

Willy T’s, Norman Island

Floating in Bight Bay just off the coast of Norman Island, this Caribbean beach bar is a legendary yachting institution in the British Virgin Islands (BVIs). Only accessible by yacht or tender, The William Thornton — affectionately known as Willy T’s — is a rowdy pirate ship party boat, where guests drink shots off waterskis and jump into the water from the top decks. Specialities on the menu include traditional chicken roti as well as locally sourced conch fritters and mahi mahi sandwiches, while drinks are mixed with the bar’s own brand of rum. Willy T's first opened in the 1980s and rose from the ashes in 2019 after being wiped out by Hurricane Irma two years previously.

Hogan’s Bar, Mallorca

When Hogan’s burger bar opened in Palma’s Santa Catalina district in 1996, it was the first authentic Irish pub in Mallorca. It became an instant hit, and with live music events and sports showings, the bar is now a favorite among crew cruising the Balearics during the Mediterranean season. Ideally located, the bar offers direct views of the marina and sees a regular stream of yachties visit for a pint of Guinness and a hearty meal. The menu specialises in burgers, chicken wings, and nachos, with everything on the menu made from scratch.

Sheer Rocks, St. John ’ s

One of two restaurants at Coco Bay Resort in western Antigua, crew come to Sheer Rocks for sundowner drinks or days off. All reservations receive a free drink on arrival and the menu is extensive, featuring tapas dishes like fried croquettes, pata negra platters, and truffled mac and cheese as well as local conch or clams. All seafood is carefully sourced, with only line-caught fish and hand-dived lobster on the menu. Other specialities include the homemade banana baked Alaska drizzled with local honey and a selection of aged rums and cigars will finish off the night. Alongside taking in stunning views out to sea, guests can also enjoy two infinity plunge pools and relax on linen-draped daybeds.

Absinthe Bar, Antibes

Located deep in the underbelly of Antibes’s old town, this speciality bar can be found in an underground cave just a 10-minute walk from the superyacht hub of Port Vauban. Decorated with retro posters, an original 1860s zinc bar, and absinthe memorabilia, Absinthe Bar has a unique atmosphere and offers something slightly different for yachties who have already sampled the other crew hotspots of Antibes. The forgotten drink favored by the bohemian set of the 19th century is revived at this dive bar and served in the traditional way, with a flaming sugar cube on top.

Abracadabra, Nelson ’ s Dockyard

Affectionately referred to as “ Abras ,” this Antigua institution has recently reopened its doors after an extensive two-year renovation. Swaying palm trees, live music, and the sound of waves lapping the shores of Nelson’s Dockyard set the scene for memorable nights at this restaurant and nightclub. The menu features Italian cuisine, with dishes like eggplant parmigiana, deep-fried calamari, and Neapolitan meatballs complemented by an extensive variety of cocktails. The bar itself describes the clientele as a mix of “yachties, local residents, and celebrities.”

Soggy Dollar, Jost Van Dyke

An iconic watering hole for yachties cruising the Caribbean, Soggy Dollar is so named because guests can only access the bar by swimming to the shores of White Bay on Jost Van Dyke island. A collection of superyacht guests, bareboaters, and crew flock to the lively BVIs bar to sample its signature drink, “The Painkiller,” invented here in the 1970s and concocted from a mixture of dark rum, coconut cream, pineapple, orange juices, and freshly grated Grenadian nutmeg. Partner your drink with comfort food and local seafood, such as lobster rolls or fresh mahi mahi.

Boatyard, Fort Lauderdale

The aptly named Boatyard has all the right elements to attract yachtie types; a prime waterside location near Fort Lauderdale’s marina district, nautical interior styling with a laid-back atmosphere, and a menu that focuses on fresh seafood from the local waters. Diners can dig into offerings from the raw bar, including oysters, ceviche, and shrimp, or go big with a plate of lobster and tuna tacos or grilled mahi mahi and swordfish from the wood-fired grill — plus the wine list is extensive if you’re just dropping by for a drink and there's vegan options as well. The Boatyard describes itself as an establishment “that embraces the pulse of the city’s yachting culture,” and there’s even a 120-foot (36.5 meter) dockage option for those who want to drop anchor right at the doorstep.

Saba Rock, Virgin Gorda

Self-described as a “haven for yachties, divers, and kiteboarders for more than 50 years,” this small island in the BVI’s North Sound holds a charming, rustic resort with a large mooring field for visiting yachts to drop anchor right out front. Founded in the 1960s by a pro diver, Saba Rock still offers courses from diving to windsurfing that crew can enjoy on their day off — if they haven’t already booked a session at the spa to relax after a long shift. The open-air restaurant and bar is familiar with welcoming crew to its shores and has a menu featuring a fusion of Caribbean and international dishes, including conch salad, mahi mahi ceviche, blackened grouper burgers, or grilled lobster.

The Best Superyacht Charter Itineraries in the World

A list of the best charter superyachts from top brokers and handpicked itineraries that make the most of open seas.

By Samantha Coles

Maltese Falcon

Spending so much time indoors has us itching to get back out into the world: to explore, to visit beloved destinations, to make new memories, and to reunite with friends and family. A superyacht  charter is arguably one of the safer ways to travel the world, and also one of the most fun. We’ve looked at the best charter yachts from the top brokers and handpicked itineraries that really make the most of the open seas, and vessels that have such an extensive list of amenities, toys and special features that you might not ever feel the need to go ashore.

Maltese Falcon

Virgin Islands

One of the most head-turning and instantly recognizable yachts on the water, Maltese Falcon (pictured above) has won more than 18 awards since her launch in 2006. She has all the qualities of a sailing yacht but with the huge spaces and luxuries typically found on a motoryacht, and is one of the largest sailing yachts in the world. Her interior, designed by award-winning firm Ken Freivokh Design, is sleek and modern, and features a vibrant art collection. She has spacious deck areas (the VIP cabin looks out on its own deck space), and the deck can transform into an outdoor cinema by night. There is also an outdoor dining table, Jacuzzi, card and playroom area, large office, interior formal dining room, circular bar, gym and spa area. Of course, her most striking feature is her three carbon-fiber rotating masts with 15 sails, which can all be fully controlled via a computer system. This pioneering system means she is simple and safe to sail at speed while maintaining stability, and has contributed to her winning a slew of prestigious superyacht sailing regattas throughout her history.

Where to go

Even though the US Virgin Islands are just 1,000 miles from Miami, the spellbinding natural scenery, abundant marine life and secluded spots make it feel like another world. Spend a relaxing eight days sailing around the main islands of St Thomas, St John and St Croix, dropping anchor in isolated bays. Beginning in St Thomas, sail to Magens Bay in the Northside region to spend a lazy day on the nearly mile-long sandy beach, or try out one of Maltese Falcon’s many watertoys (laser sailing dinghies, stand-up paddleboards and anti-jellyfish sea pool, to name a few).

Next you’ll visit Lovango Cay, a small private island between St Thomas and St John. If you want to venture ashore, the island has exceptional walking trails, or drop anchor just north of the island, one of the best spots for snorkeling in the USVI — keep your eyes peeled for nurse sharks. Journey on to Francis Bay, a protected area on St John. The waters surrounding the island are a hot spot for marine life (look out for sea turtles, tropical fish and coral reefs) and, as 60 percent of the island is occupied by the Virgin Islands National Park, St John feels as if it is far removed from civilization.

You’ll also visit Round Bay and Rendezvous Bay on St John — secluded spots that are ideal for spending days out on the water. Explore by tender or jet ski, or fish for your dinner from the shore and have an alfresco dinner in Maltese Falcon’s outdoor dining space. Sail on to St Croix, where you’ll visit Buck Island Reef National Monument. The island has an abundance of wildlife both above and below the ocean, and you can drop anchor at the historic St Croix Yacht Club in Teague Bay to watch the sunset and have the most scenic movie night on the upper deck.

Formosa has traversed the globe with her owner / ©Thierry Ameller

Despite her young age, Formosa is a seasoned traveler: Her intrepid owner took her on an around-the-world tour two years ago, and she has been on the move ever since. Available for charter in Southeast Asia this winter, she is as well-suited to shorter jaunts as she is long, relaxing vacations. The owner’s suite is on the upper deck and has its own study and private terrace; the two VIP cabins on the main deck both have marble en suites; the two double cabins and one twin are on the lower deck. A glass elevator connects the decks.

Formosa’s interiors, by award-winning Dutch yacht design studio Sinot, are fresh and subtle with a few choice pops of color; her exterior spaces are built to enjoy warmer climes. The spacious sundeck has a hot tub and bar, and the observation deck is a private haven strewn with bright orange sofas and daybeds. The upper deck has alfresco dining space and a sky lounge that can be converted into a cinema room, and the swim platform makes for easy access to the ocean to play with her long list of toys: jet ski; kite surfing equipment; slide; inflatable climbing wall; canoe kayak; wake, ski and knee boards; banana boat; and a host of fishing equipment.

Thailand has some of the most beautiful islands in the world, and in this weeklong suggested itinerary from Fraser, you’ll see the best of the Andaman Sea from Formosa’s inviting decks. Begin in Phuket, the largest Thai island, and visit stunning beaches — each one offers something different, from the secluded Nui Beach to the lively atmosphere at Patong Beach.

Cruise through Phang Nga Bay, famed for its karsts (limestone cliffs), then south to Ko Phi Phi Don. This is a good spot for scuba diving — or hop in a kayak and explore the quieter bays and caves. Next on the agenda is Koh Ngai. It’s officially part of Koh Lanta National Marine Park, so you can expect picture-perfect beach scenes. The neighboring islands form a triangle, making it easy to island-hop, and the rocky islets of Koh Ma, Koh Chueak and Khon Kaen have great snorkeling sites.

Sail on to Koh Muk, home to the Emerald Cave — it is as magical as it sounds. A gorgeous lagoon surrounded by tropical plants lies just beyond the cave, and between the hours of around 10am and 2pm, the sun shines on the lagoon’s waters and reflects on the tunnel’s walls — resulting in a shimmering emerald display. Cruise on to Koh Rok Nok, which is a protected wildlife habitat that has pretty coral gardens teeming with vibrant tropical fish. You’ll be able to spot them right beneath Formosa ; head to her swim platform for the best view, or snorkel in the warm waters for a closer look.

Elite Tip: For a memorable night, head to a secret spot and the crew will set up a campfire on the beach.

Since her launch in 2015, Savannah has won a host of awards

Savannah is an incredible vessel to charter — she is as innovative as she is impressive, with stellar eco-credentials to boot. She is the world’s first-ever hybrid motoryacht and uses a specialized propulsion system to ensure reduced emissions for sustainable cruising. Since her launch in 2015, she has won a host of awards; it’s easy to see why. She has a total of four decks, connected by an elevator and a rosewood spiral staircase. The owner’s suite is on the private upper deck, and the VIP cabin (complete with its own waterside balcony) and additional four en-suite double cabins are found on the main deck.

The main deck also has a 30-ft swimming pool, expansive sundeck with DJ booth and barbecue. There is an onboard spa with hammam (a masseuse and beautician are part of the crew) and a well-equipped gym with views of the ocean — but if you’re more into shooting hoops, then head to her basketball court. Savannah’s piece de resistance is the underwater lounge. It’s the first underwater viewing lounge of its kind, with floor-to-ceiling windows that open up the world beneath the surface for your viewing pleasure. It can also be turned into a cinema room with stadium-style seating.

As one of the world’s natural seven wonders, the Great Barrier Reef is simply remarkable. A large part of the 1,430-mile stretch of coral reef is protected by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park to limit the impact of tourism, so Savannah’s eco-friendly credentials make her a considered choice to charter here. The reef is home to some 900 islands, and while you could certainly head on a longer jaunt to try and see as many of them as possible, this seven-day itinerary from Northrop & Johnson explores the wonders in and around Lizard Island.

One of the most photogenic infinity pools you will see

On day one, you’ll cruise toward Mackay Cay — a small sand island that only rises about a foot above high tide. Snorkel in the surrounding crystal-clear waters and look out for endangered plants and animals. Sail on to Rachel Carson Reef for a spot of fishing, then enjoy a few sunset cocktails on Savannah’s main deck before dinner. Then head on to Anderson Reef, where you can snorkel or dive world-famous sites, including Steve’s Bommie and Temple of Doom. Or, if you’d prefer, head to Savannah’s Nemo Lounge for stunning vistas of the underwater world around you.

In the following days you will sail on to visit Ribbon Reef 7, Ribbon Reef 9, Cod Hole and Dynamite Pass. On day five, you’ll arrive at Lizard Island — follow in the footsteps of Captain Cook, and hike up to the highest point on the island (known as Cook’s Look) to take in the astonishing views; snorkel amongst the giant clams at Clam Gardens, or kayak through the clear waters.

Balearic Islands

Joy has the first exterior designed by the lauded design studio Bannenberg & Rowell.

Built by industry powerhouse, Feadship, Joy has the first exterior designed by the lauded design studio Bannenberg & Rowell. She has five decks connected by a spiral staircase that coils around a glass elevator; the master suite can be found on the owner’s deck. It was designed to resemble an onboard penthouse and has 270-degree views from floor-to-ceiling windows, a private office and lounge, and his ‘n’ hers en-suite bathrooms, plus it overlooks a winter garden. There are two double en-suite cabins on the owner’s deck positioned close to the master suite (handy if you’re traveling with family). The other cabins are on the main and lower decks. Joy has myriad entertainment spaces including a lower deck beach club that can be transformed into a nightclub or private cinema thanks to the video wall; an Irish whiskey bar in the main saloon; sundeck with barbecue and pool; and a large games deck forward. If you’re a fitness enthusiast, the wellness facilities are outstanding: There is a very well-equipped gym that overlooks the ocean, and a sumptuous spa treatment room.

The main islands in the Balearics are Mallorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, and each has its own distinct character. This seven-day itinerary from Burgess begins in Club de Mar, Mallorca’s chic marina, before gliding onto Playa Es Trenc, a six-mile stretch of beach with shallow, aquamarine waters and powdery sand. Spend the day strolling along the white sands and wading through the clear waters before enjoying an alfresco dinner onboard. Head chef Lee Easdon grew up in a small fishing village in Cornwall, England so, unsurprisingly, he has a passion for seafood. Dine on seared sea bass with fennel puree, dauphine potato and fennel.

The next day, you’ll sail on to Formentera. The ‘chill’ island (known as Ibiza’s calmer sister) is perfect for lazy days in the sunshine: Relax on Joy’s sundeck or grab a SeaBob — this is a prime spot for underwater viewing. If you’re up for something more energetic, have a one-on-one training session in the gym. Next, travel on to Ibiza Town. Go ashore in the Wajer 38 tender, then meander through cobbled streets in the fortified Unesco-listed Old Town, or hit one of the famous clubs. Start the next day with a 90-minute Ayurvedic massage in Joy’s spa suite while you sail north on to Cala Xarraca — an off-the-beaten-track beach, surrounded by pine forests and with natural mud baths. Cruise to Puerto Soller, a small and charming seaside town, and Puerto Andratx, a glamorous fishing village on the western tip of Mallorca.

Elite Tip: Joy’s onboard fitness instructor can create a bespoke training plan for your time spent at sea.

5 types of bars on yachts

Soundwave Yacht Charter bar

best superyacht bars

Your crew will also use bars on yachts to provide hospitality support for their daily duties; snacks and canapes will be prepared at the bar, which is also commonly equipped with ice makers, wine coolers and grill stations.

Yacht charter holidays usually include a decent amount of inebriation – that is why bars on yachts are such a popular hang-out place for charter guests. There is no better way to truly experience a yacht charter in Croatia than to sip martinis on the sundeck or margaritas in the yacht jacuzzi, all thanks to your crew and the yacht bar.

When it comes to differentiating between bars on yachts, they can either be indoor or outdoor. „Wet“ or outdoor bars on yachts come equipped with appliances that make drink preparation easy, but they are usually more lightly stocked when compared to indoor bars. The interior has a better connection to the galley, as well as more storage space, which makes indoor bars able to provide a larger variety of drinks.

Between the exterior and the interior, there are 5 different types of bars on yachts:

Drinks in the salon are usually enjoyed between meals or when you want to escape the summer heat in an air-conditioned environment. Inform a member of the crew before you sit at the bar and they will be your personal bartender, able to satisfy every wish you have, regarding alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

Smoothies, cocktails, shots, champagne, Croatian liqueurs and wine are some of the many different varieties of drinks that will be at your disposal. If you want to nibble on something while enjoying a refreshing drink, watch as your competent crew prepares hand-made tortilla chips, avocado toast or Croatian cheese and prosciutto.

Skyounge bar

Not all yachts have sky lounges, but those that do can offer their guests an incredible opportunity to enjoy an elevated atmosphere while they wrap their lips around masterfully prepared alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages. Enjoy the fantastic panorama that the wide sky lounge windows provide while listening to relaxing yacht music.

eternal spark yacht charter sky lounge bar

Skylounges on yachts often come with certain amenities, so look forward to playing a game of pool, watching a movie or playing cards on the poker table. Whatever you choose, a competent member of the charter crew will always be at your disposal to serve drinks at the Sky Lounge bar.

Dining area bar

When enjoying a fine dining experience on a yacht charter , there will always be a crew member nearby to assist with the table arrangements, as well as serving and presenting food. While you and your charter party dine, the crew often uses the dining area bar to prepare the cutlery and glassware. As is the food on a yacht, the drinks are also fully tailored to match specific tastes, so that every meal aboard a yacht charter exceeds expectations you would have in on-land restaurants.

Sundeck bar

A sundeck bar is usually the main meeting point for charter guests who like to spend their time basking under the sun or enjoying the warm embrace of the sundeck jacuzzi in the evening. Either way, both experiences would not be complete without popular cocktail choices or premium chilled champagne.

view from above of the yacht deck with a jacuzzi

Enjoy all the magnificent opportunities and experiences you can live through on a yacht charter vacation in Croatia. If your sundeck allows it, you can invite guests outside of your charter party to join in an entirely exclusive sundeck evening yacht party. Sundeck bars are often ties to events on a yacht.

Beachclub bar

Is there a better way to relax near the crystal-clear Croatian Adriatic sea than with a cool drink, to take the ease of a warm summer day? If you decide to spend your time on the swimming platform of your yacht charter, you could enjoy a unique beach club atmosphere, complete with a fully-stocked bar, just several feet away from the sea. Sip mimosas and listen to the relaxing sound of gentle wavelets and soft breezes as you savour the uniqueness of the Croatian Adriatic atmosphere.

Pro tip regarding bars on yachts: Keep in mind that only yachts with considerable length have enough room to equip a beach club with a bar.

The first point of greeting on any yacht is always the main deck aft bar, where drinks will be presented in a stylish manner, due to the diligence of the charter crew.

  • Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award 2023

A far cry from the exclusivity of real members’ only boating social clubs, irreverence is the name of the game at Denver’s Yacht Club, a self-proclaimed ‘anti-club club’ that bears the playful slogan: ‘Yachty by nature’. There, owners Mary Allison Wright and McLain Hedges aimed to combine three of their favorite types of drinking joints – cocktail bars, natural wine bars and dive bars – to achieve the ultimate hangout for locals and visitors alike. Thanks to its eco principles, Yacht Club is named the winner of the Ketel One Sustainable Bar Award 2023 . Located in North Denver’s historic Cole neighborhood, there is zero pretension at the casual bar, which many Coloradans consider the equivalent of their modern Cheers. Drinks-wise, the programme mixes an eclectic approach of high – they have a fortified wine bottle list, for example – and low (like the Old No. 7-11 combo, which is a Jack and Coke with a hot dog). Even the finest spirits find a home in quickie combinations, which also sometimes skew somewhat nautical, with drinks like the Frozen Banana Daiquiri and Champagne Mojito bringing breezy fun to the mix, and the ‘Soft Bangers’ section of the menu features a few alcohol-free options for non-imbibers.

Best Rooftop Bars Downtown St Pete

St Petersburg is known for its stunning beaches and gorgeous views. These two bars make a list for capturing the best of both worlds.

340 Beach Drive NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 896-1080

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Birchwood Canopy (@birchwoodcanopy)

Birchwood Canopy , also simply known as The Canopy, is one of the best downtown St Pete bars for great views. Relax underneath the starry sky or by one of their fire pits as you look out over Tampa Bay. From craft cocktails to beer and wine, they have an extensive list of offerings, including food.

Wednesday is definitely the best day to visit — it tends to have fewer crowds, and you get 50% off frosé!

I’ve been coming to The Canopy for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of my longtime favorites, especially for its sunset views. It has two of my favorite restaurants nearby, Ceviche and Parkshore Grill.

Birchwood, the Canopy outside view looking up at the hotel

The Birchwood is also on our list of best hotels in downtown St Pete . The ideal location is great for a weekend getaway. They also have a restaurant, Birch & Vine – ideal for a weekend brunch!

🎄 Pro Tip: During holidays with fireworks or the Christmas Tree Lightning Ceremony , The Canopy is a great place to reserve a private cabana. They book up far in advance, so book early!

800 2nd Ave NE 5th Floor, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 513-8325

View this post on Instagram A post shared by PIER TEAKI (@pierteaki)

Pier Teaki is a rooftop bar on the 5th floor of the St Pete Pier. It sits above the restaurant, Teak, and has a fun tiki bar vibe.

Whether you’re there for a drink or a bite to eat, you’ll be treated to a stunning 360-degree view of the bay from the St Pete Pier.  If you’re in St Petersburg on vacation, you’ll want to visit Teak – even just for a quick photo opportunity.

Pier Teaki is family-friendly and one of the best bars for a date night. Come early to get a good seat with a view or next to a fire pit. Pier Teaki also often has a DJ.

Most Unique Clubs & Bars in St Petersburg FL

When it comes to unique bars in St Petersburg, you’ll be quick to tell me I missed one. There are soooo many options compared to when I moved here over 10 years ago. Here are several new and long-standing favorites!

The Dog Bar

2300 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 (727) 317-4968

The Dog Bar outdoor seating

There are many dog-friendly bars in St Petersburg, FL. The Dog Bar , however, actively encourages you to bring your furry friend along. In addition to the full-service bar, The Dog Bar has an off-leash dog park.

Dogs need to get a membership first, but you don’t need to be a dog owner to visit. You just have to love dogs — pretty low barrier to entry!

LALA St Pete

2324 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 (727) 329-9455

LaLa St Pete

If you want to sing your heart out, head to LALA St Pete . They have private karaoke rooms that can be rented out. It makes for a super fun night out with family or friends!

Lala karaoke rooms

At happy hour, from 4 pm to 6 pm, you can get $5 wines and discounted cocktails. As for small bites, try out their seafood charcuterie board — tasty and convenient to share with a group.

49 24th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 (727) 258-7626

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Saint (@thesaintstpete)

I don’t know about you, but I love it when a bar really leans into a theme. The Saint does just that.

This delightfully campy speakeasy invites you to reserve a “confession time” for groups of up to 10 “sinners.” You honestly wouldn’t know it was a speakeasy bar since it’s hidden off on a side street from the Grand Central District.

I gave you a clue…you can find the password on Instagram or their website to get in.

From the “confessional” to the bar itself, it’s such a fun time. They have quite a few signature cocktails, including the 7 Deadly Sins.

Dirty Laundry

1742 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 (727) 493-0040

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Dirty Laundry (@dirtylaundrystpete)

Another speakeasy that’s worth visiting is Dirty Laundry . At first glance, it seems like a laundromat where you can grab a coffee and a few quick bites.

Pick up the payphone to get a code for the bar area. You’ll be greeted with a small but welcoming space with a Caribbean vibe. Here, you can enjoy their many Cuban-themed cocktails, including the sweet and fruity Cayo Coco.

Dirty Laundry St Pete sign showing the secret entrance

They also have a good assortment of beer and wine, including Prosecco. Plus, if you get hungry, they also serve food with a limited menu that includes empandas, Cuban sandwiches, and yucca fries.

2253 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33712 (727) 289-2956

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Par Bar (@parbarstp)

Whether a drink will help your swing is up for debate, but it’s certainly worth a try at Par Bar . The 18-hole mini golf course here is a bit challenging but so much fun.

If you’ve got a competitive side, consider participating in their weekly League Night on Tuesdays. The Par Bar has a selection of local and domestic craft beers on tap, as well as wine and sake.

Other fun games include darts, cornhole, putt pong, and trash can beer pong.

Par Bar is one of the best bars for a date night. You can chat while staying busy with a fun game. Par Bar also has a permanent food truck provided by Meanchi’s.

Best Downtown St Pete Bars for Delicious Food

Delicious food and cocktails, why not? This is sometimes the ideal option, especially when you’re on a limited time schedule or prefer not to change locations for a drink. Here are the best bars in St Peterburg for delicious drinks and yummy food.

937 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 (727) 308-7878

Outdoor bright colorful seating in retro theme

No Vacancy is one of those spots that has a bit of everything. Stepping into this bar feels like you’ve gone on a Miami vacation.

It’s a retro beach bar lounge where you can come casual and down some craft beers or dress up a bit for tropical cocktails.

They are perhaps most known for their punch bowls! However, as you can see, we prefer margaritas and cold beer.

margarita at no vacancy

The seafood nachos and fish tacos are the highlights of the menu. For drinks, they make a mean Mai Tai! Happy hour is from 4 pm to 7 pm, and you can stop by for Sunday brunch, too.

Tryst Gastro Lounge

240 Beach Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 821-4567

IMG 6674

If the name wasn’t enough indication, know that a trip to Tryst Gastro Lounge will be a treat for your stomach. Highlights of the menu include artisanal avocado toast at brunch and Mediterranean tapas at dinner.

I’ve been coming to Tryst since 2012. While I would love to say I come here for a fancy coctkail, they have a large list of draft beers from around the world. My husband often prefers Leffe or something similar on tap.

They have rotating specials on Tuesdays. Some weeks you’ll get discounts on tequilas, others on wine, and so on.

For years on Sundays, they offer half price bottles of Moet! To make the perfect Sunday Funday, order a bottle of Moet Ice. They serve it with fresh fruit and chilled glasses. It’s a delightful treat on their outdoor patio. Check their website for the latest pricing and specials.

437 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 898-4300

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Tropez St. Pete (@tropez_dtsp)

Tropez is one of the hidden gems on the list. It’s often overlooked because of its location on Central Avenue. However, it’s worthy of a stop, especially if you are looking for a bar with quality food.

Tropez serves from a global menu. From European to Hawaiian to Brazilian, lots of cuisines are represented. The craft cocktail list is extensive, too.

My recommendation is the Espresso Manhattan, a spin on an espresso martini. However, if you’re more into wine, you’ll want to come on a Wednesday night for half off bottles of wine under $100. On weekends they also have bottomless mimosas specials.

330 1st Ave S, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 851-9531

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Avenue DTSP (@theavenuedtsp)

The Avenue feels more like a local neighborhood watering hole and sports bar vibe combined. They’ve got an extensive menu of classic American fare, but the stars of the show are their artisan burgers. You can get about anything on them, from pork to bison to Impossible patties (I tend to like mac and cheese).

Stop by for their Sunday Funday bottomless brunch, where mimosas and Bloody Marys take center stage. The Avenue is next door to Park and Rec – for some games after you eat!

The Oyster Bar

249 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 897-9728

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Oyster Bar St. Pete (@oysterbarstpete)

If you want oysters on your plate or in your drink — or both! Th e Oyster Bar is the place to be. Despite the name, The Oyster Bar is primarily a restaurant. They do, however, have some great cocktails and oyster shooters for just $5! Quite a few prices go down even further during happy hour, from 3 to 6 pm.

Best Wine Bars in St Petersburg, FL

Whether you’re looking to unwind after a long day or celebrate a special occasion, the wine bars in St Petersburg offer the perfect setting to enjoy a glass or two with friends or loved ones.

Flute & Dram

234 Beach Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 350-5657

Flute & Dram

Flute & Dram is your one-stop shop for champagne, whiskey, and caviar. Known as St Pete’s first whiskey and champagne bar, they’ve got a premium selection of both.

IMG 4442

They also have quite a range of both domestic and international caviar. Even if you’re not a connoisseur, the staff are more than willing to help you discern what the best pairings are.

Flute & Dram is an ideal location if you like to bar hop. It’s next door to Tryst and close to some of the best restaurants in St Pete.

Bacchus Wine Bistro

124 2nd Ave NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 258-8566

IMG 4434

Bacchus Wine Bistro focuses on French cuisine and wine, though they also offer food and drink from other European countries.

Gather your friends and stop by during happy hour, 3 pm to 6 pm to enjoy a fancy French dinner in a casual, fun atmosphere.

I’d recommend ending your meal with a dessert wine. Try the Tawny Port from Portugal!

Dracula’s Legacy Wine Bar & Bistro

111 2nd Ave NE Suite 102, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 289-7257

View this post on Instagram A post shared by DRACULA’S LEGACY (@draculaslegacy)

The name probably gives away the fact this wine bar is also inspired by Europe! Dracula’s Legacy Wine Bar & Bistro goes all in on the Old World, Romanian atmosphere.

This is a very small bar that is often overlooked since it’s inside the courtyard area. It tends to attract a more mature crowd that likes to enjoy a bottle of wine.

They routinely host events such as wine tastings, glass painting classes, and live music. Check out their calendar for their current events.

Best Sports Bars Downtown St Pete

Looking for the best sports bars in St Pete? Tampa Bay has some outstanding teams, making it even more fun to route for them in a lively sports bar. Here’s where to go to find a great time.

Ferg’s Sports Bar

1320 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 (727) 822-4562

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ferg’s Sports Bar (@fergsstpete)

Ferg’s Sports Bar seems like the de facto meeting spot for Tampa Bay Rays fans during baseball season. After all, it’s right across from Tropicana Field.

Even when there isn’t a big game going on, Ferg’s Sports Bar is a major hotspot in downtown St Pete. They hold weekly beer pong tournaments on Tuesdays — winner takes all!

While I’ve had food here, it’s an ideal sports bar for live music and cold drinks.

Park and Rec

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Park & Rec (@parkrecdtsp)

There’s more than one kind of game you can enjoy at Park and Rec . Catch the latest sports game on TV, play a game of pool with your friends, or try your hand at vintage arcade games!

In addition to cold beer, they’ve got a small but inspired wine and cocktail menu, as well as “party pouches.” These Capri Sun-esque pouch drinks are made with Bacardi rum and fruit juice.

Five Bucks Drinkery

247 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 896-5118

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Five Bucks Drinkery (@fivebucksdrinkery)

Another one of the best sports bars in St Petersburg is Five Bucks Drinkery.

“It’s always happy hour at Five Bucks.” That’s how Five Bucks Drinkery puts it. Seltzers go for $5, while tallboys, bottles, and shots each cost $3.50 (pricing may vary).

Another thing that they tout is that they have the biggest outdoor patio in downtown St Pete. I’m not about to pull out a tape measure, but their patio really is pretty darn big and usually lively.

This bar tends to be best suited for those looking for cheap drinks in the heart of the action on Central Avenue.

The One Night Stand

149 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 350-5822

The One Night Stand is a pretty unique fixture among the best bars in downtown St Pete. It’s the city’s one and only country bar, with country music playing all night .

Kick back and play some pool and bar games, catch up on the latest and greatest in sports, and have a cold beer. Don’t hesitate to join a line dance when it starts!

Best Bars for Craft Cocktails in St Petersburg

If you want to try the best bars for craft cocktails in St Petersburg, you’ll want to check out this list of my favorites.

Saigon Blonde

265 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 827-7577

View this post on Instagram A post shared by @saigonblondebar

Saigon Blonde is a themed tiki bar that takes cues from the 1960s era. This fun place is actually modeled after a lounge in Vietnam. There are tiki totems, hanging lanterns, and historical references everywhere in this dark and lush bar.

They’ve got a truly eclectic craft cocktail menu, including cocktails infused with CBD. Saigon Blonde has of the most beautiful cocktails in St Pete. If you like Old Fashions, you’ll want to try theirs mixed with rum!

Copper Shaker

169 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 351-2569

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Copper Shaker (@coppershakerstpete)

The Copper Shaker is an upscale yet rustic spot that has delicious food in addition to cocktails. You’ll find contemporary American cuisine, including a 3-pound Tomahawk “Big Ass Steak” and Pepper Jack fondue. Their cocktails range from traditional to innovative, with a local favorite being Bee Sneeze.

Mandarin Hide

231 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701

Classy, old-school, stylish — all words to describe Mandarin Hide . Though not a speakeasy that you have to gain entry to, it certainly has that vibe of an exclusive, retro haunt.

This bar has possibly the most extensive list of spirits in all of St Pete. They have both classic and craft cocktails, the latter of which are different each and every week.

Best Downtown St Pete Bars & Venues for Live Music or Dancing

Ringside cafe.

350 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 954-3362

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ringside Cafe (@ringsidestpete)

All 7 nights a week, you can bet there’ll be awesome live music at Ringside Cafe . Local artists and even national bands play here.

If you’re into rock, blues, or just a plain good time, you’ll love it at the Ringside Cafe. They have a full liquor bar and beers on tap to keep you going all night.

The Floridian Social Club

687 Central Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 322-4600

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Floridian Social (@thefloridiansocial)

The Floridian Social Club feels like an old theater from a bygone era. Beyond just live music, you can watch aerial dance performances and cabaret shows. This bar has a very glam, refined vibe and a similarly fancy list of craft cocktails.

For those who have been coming to St Petersburg for years, The Floridian Social Club used to be the State Theatre.

Make sure to check out their event calendar prior to, since they are not open daily.

Crafty Squirrel

259 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 898-4888

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Crafty Squirrel (@craftysquirreldtsp)

Crafty Squirrel is an eclectic bar in the heart of St Pete. Stop by at brunch, lunch, or dinner for some Southern pub grub. They’ve got bottomless brunch, by the way — fill up on those mimosas!

They’ve got live sports TV and live DJs. So, even though it’s a sports bar, you can be sure there’ll be lots of dancing, too.

The Estate St Pete

179 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 346-8054

View this post on Instagram A post shared by The Estate St. Pete (@theestatestpete)

The Est at e is a high-energy dance club inspired by the Las Vegas nightlife scene — luxurious and a bit raunchy. They have top-shelf liquor and cocktails, including the local favorite Post Melone. It’s made with tequila, agave, coconut rum, and more.

They have VIP booths if you want to upgrade the experience. There you’ll get access to an exclusive mixed drinks menu and can have craft cocktails created especially for you and your group!

Ruby’s Elixir

15 3rd St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 898-2442

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Ruby’s Elixir (@rubys_elixir)

On the other end of the spectrum from The Estate, Ruby’s Elixir is a down-to-earth live music lounge. Seven days a week, you’ll hear a blend of rock, blues, jazz, and funk.

Ruby’s Elixir has quite a bit of history to it. It began in the ’90s as a cigar store, and you can still get a cigar here (it’s a smoking-friendly establishment).

Jannus Live

200 1st Ave N STE 206, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 (727) 565-0550

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jannus Live (@jannuslive)

Jannus Live is a concert hall and live music venue in St Pete. You can get drinks at the venue itself when there’s a show going on, but there’s a standalone bar here, too.

The stage is in a courtyard, so technically speaking, it is an outdoor live music venue. It’s super casual, and I’ve always liked the laid back vibe.

Jannus Live in St Petersburg FL

Pelican Pub is located right at the entryway into Jannus Live. It’s a no-frills bar that doesn’t have a very large selection of food and drinks. However, the low prices and live music draw in a big crowd!

Best Gay Bars in Downtown St Pete

St Petersburg has a thriving LGBT community, and there are several gay bars and nightclubs in the area. St Petersburg hosts an annual Pride celebration, which includes a parade and a festival with live music, food, and vendors. Here are two of the more well-known gay bars in Downtown St Pete.

COCKTail St Pete

2355 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33713 (727) 592-1914

Cocktails, downtown st pete bars

“Stiff drinks,” “hard liquor,” and a whole lot of dirty puns at COCKTail . Even for the drinks (which you can get two-for-one during happy hour), with cocktails like the Banana Hammock, the innuendos never stop!

This relatively new hot spot is located in the popular Grand Central District with LALA and the Dog Bar within walking distance.

COCKTail is a bar and nightclub with BOGO happy hour specials 7 days a week, Monday – Sunday, 12 pm – 9 pm. It has plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. COCKTail is also unique for having its own pool, open daily from 11 am to 4 pm.

1110 Central Ave, St. Petersburg, FL 33705 (727) 235-0867

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Enigma St. Pete (@enigmastpete)

En ig ma is the long-standing gay bar in St Petersburg. It is your traditional nightclub scene and is in a great location on Central Avenue.

Make no mistake, though, it gets loud and lively in here, too. Enigma has two full liquor bars for mixed drinks and two-for-one happy hours. Along with the live DJs, it’s a fun environment, from drag shows to pool tournaments.

8 of the best bars in the Mediterranean to visit by superyacht

The bar and beach rouge.

There's nothing like watching a Mediterranean sunset with a cocktail (or mocktail) in hand, soft music in the background and a private table with your nearest and dearest. Get the inside scoop on where to head for a perfect tipple.

1. The Bar and Beach Rouge, LUX* Bodrum, Turkey

Head to The Bar, a sophisticated drinking spot decked out in sleek grey stone and Scandinavian style furnishings, for a glass of your preferred beverage. You can play it safe and opt for a crisp glass of the exclusively branded rosé or go rogue and try a fiery Japanese single malt whisky or Sake. Even the non-alcohol cocktails come with all the trimmings, origami-shaped fruit garnishes and expert flavour combinations, courtesy of the in-house mixologists.

For a more energetic experience, head down to the water's edge to Beach Rouge for extravagant cocktails, a private cove setting, top notch DJs and an exhilarating beach club vibe.

With views out over superyacht hotspot Puerto Portals in Mallorca, the OD Sky Bar at the OD Port Portals hotel is the ideal spot for enjoying a little time on shore just minutes from your yacht. Located on the hotel's expansive eighth floor roof terrace, share a jug of sangria or choose from a whole host of signature house cocktails as you watch the sunset. Alternatively, take possession of the whole bar for an unforgettable private dinner or party. The Champagne Room, Marbella Club Hotel

A respite on the southern coast of Spain inevitably calls for a glass of bubbly at the historic Champagne Room at the Marbella Club Hotel. Boasting the best selection of Champagnes in Andalusia and brimming with 1920's Art Deco charm, listen to gentle piano and sultry lounge singers while quaffing a glass of the finest Champagne or an expertly made cocktail.

The Marbella Club was a social hub throughout the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s for socialites and celebrities alike. Brigitte Bardot, Audrey Hepburn, Julio Iglesias and a vast number of aristocrats frequented the hotel's exclusive and famous parties.

How to visit by luxury yacht: Moor up at nearby Puerto Banús, which has berths for yachts up to 50 metres, before having your chauffeur drive you to the Marbella Club. Although the microclimate in Marbella ensures sunshine for approximately 325 days a year, the best months to visit are from June to September — perfect for anyone on a yacht charter around Spain's sunny coast or on a private superyacht heading towards Gibraltar.

By Editorial Team   20 September 2021

A motor yacht charter 's sundeck is the enviable setting for many guests' most memorable experiences during their vacation at sea: from being draped across a sun lounger after a satisfying subaquatic exploration to sipping an ice-cold apéro in the outdoor Jacuzzi under rose-gold skies.

Boasting considerable space to linger all-day long and relish the most sublime views found onboard, a superyacht sundeck is designed for pure enjoyment, and with unrivalled privacy. But which charter yacht sundecks exceed expectations? Take a look at our round-up of the very finest superyacht charter sundecks.

Superyacht ILLUSION V

illusion v sundeck superyacht

Motor yacht ILLUSION V dazzles with her impressive features, but nothing quite rivals her sundeck

Elegantly appointed from bow to stern, superyacht ILLUSION V is a floating masterpiece. She has no shortage of impressive features, from her uber-sleek beach club to her Art-Deco-styled interiors that fuse walnut, oynx, silks and Lalique crystal with aplomb. However, nothing quite rivals her sundeck.

Commanding your attention from the second you step onto its teak decks, cloud-like sun pads and loungers and a bar lead the eye towards a Jacuzzi located forward — the star of the show. It's your own private lair for relaxation and entertainment.

Charter yacht PARILLION is an ocean scene-stealer, best showcased by her 120 square metre sundeck. Why? She boasts a 3.5m swimming pool (fresh and saltwater) with a cascading waterfall — a highly unique feature on board any vessel. But that's not all her fabulous sundeck has, which has been thoughtfully crafted for idyllic outdoor living.

Yacht charter guests could easily spend from dawn to dusk here thanks to her adjustable hardtop roof and ample array of chaise longues and sun loungers, plus her bar, alfresco dining area and BBQ. If you are looking for a vessel that has serious sundeck cachet, superyacht PARILLION delivers.

Superyacht RUYA

Superyacht RUYA 's sundeck is an alfresco living gem and a generously sized one at that, with guests having more than 93 square meters to revel in. Bronzed limbs can slink into the glass-paneled 10-person Jacuzzi after a sun-soaked breakfast or a satisfying snorkel, fizz in hand, then can refuel at the bar or recap the day's events in its shaded alfresco dining area.

Superyacht RAYA's sundeck is a perfect union of style and substance: featuring a glass-panelled pool, shaded dining area, bar, bbq and excellent lounging options

When you need a change of scene from frolicking on her magnificent sundeck, this vessel has an armada of water toys to choose from and boasts an RYA-approved training centre — meaning you can use her water toys without any prior license.

The Best Brunch In Dallas

Mirador in Dallas.

Kevin Gray

September 27, 2024

Dallas has a lot to offer when it comes to BBQ and Mexican food. The same can be said for brunch. There are places in town where you can eat caviar-topped donuts, an architecturally impressive bagel tower, or a breakfast sandwich stuffed with hatch chile. Wherever you end up, the eggs benedict won’t break your heart like the Cowboys.

Mirador in Dallas.

This downtown penthouse is known for its power lunches, afternoon teas, and extended pinkies. Mirador goes just as fancy during the brunch service with caviar-topped deviled eggs, donuts, and french omelets. The lemon ricotta pancakes might not be as high society, but they’re a perfect sweet dish to split with the rest of the table. Enjoy any or all of the above, do a quick caviar-teeth check, then meander over to some of the high-end boutiques downstairs.

Petra and the Beast restaurant

Petra and the Beast

East Dallas

Plenty of restaurants in Dallas serve avocado toast and bottomless mimosas for brunch, but Petra & The Beast isn’t for such simple pleasures. It’s for out-the-box dishes like french toast topped with dill pollen, smoked redfish dip with candied hot sauce, and other things you won't find elsewhere around town. Choose your brunch companions wisely—i.e., those who appreciate fermentation, pickled vegetables, and house-cured meats.

Revolver Taco Lounge

Dallas’s best brunch buffet happens on Sundays at Revolver, a Mexican spot in Deep Ellum. Hand over $35, get in line, and start with a few fresh tortillas that are rolled, pressed, and cooked right in front you. A small bowl of their menudo will help cure a hangover, hopefully making it easier for you to focus on the clay pots overflowing with carnitas, mole, and salsa. The drinks are also great—grab some café de olla and a jamaica before getting back in line for round two.

José in Dallas.

Bluffview residents flock to José at night for Jalisco-style ceviches, tacos, and margaritas, and then they show up again during the day for brunch. Our favorite dishes here are the chile relleno stuffed with peppery breakfast sausage, spicy carnitas hash, and chilaquiles with sunny side-up eggs and tomatillo sauce. Add a michelada and you’ll be ready for anything—like another michelada, or people-watching the luxury SUV-driving crowd.

Crown Block

Meals at Crown Block begin with a 68-second elevator ride up Reunion Tower that leads to one of the best views in the city. The set-price brunch is $80 per person even before drinks, but that nets you unlimited access to the buffet, including fresh sushi, a smoked salmon and bagel bar, and a carving station doling out sliced ham and prime beef. It also includes an entree from the kitchen, but we’re usually too focused on the self-serve situation to care. Dining here is a quintessential Dallas experience, so bring some out-of-towners or your visiting parents—especially if they’re paying.

Knox Bistro in Dallas.

Knox Bistro

Knox/Henderson

Knox Bistro serves the best brunch burger in town. It’s simple, that’s why we love it so much. The patty is thick and juicy, topped with a layer of cheddar cheese, there’s a nice crunch thanks to housemade mustard pickles, and it comes with a side of crisp fries. Beyond the burger, they have a full brunch menu of French options including croissants, omelets, and croque madames. It’s a quiet, classy spot that’s perfect for a low-key meal while sipping a bubbly Negroni Sbagliato for a teensy brunch buzz.

Chimichurri

Argentinian

Bishop Arts

At night, Chimichurri is a lively dinner spot with a cocktail bar specializing in amaro. But the atmosphere is more laid back at brunch, when leisurely meals revolve around pillowy empanadas, grilled chorizo sandwiches, and other Argentinian specialties. If it’s eggs you’re after, the menu also has dishes like huevos rancheros, salmon benedicts, chilaquiles, and a protein-packed gaucho steak. The bar still pours good drinks during the day, including bubbly spritzes and stomach-settling amaro flights, which come in handy after housing steak at 11am.

Sadelle's in Dallas.

Highland Park

The people behind maximalist Italian spot Carbone and the Sadelle’s locations in NYC , Las Vegas , and Miami have brought another swanky outpost to Dallas. Groups gather here to snap photos of architecturally impressive bagel towers, massive salads, and the triple-decker turkey sandwiches that would make any New York deli owner proud. Sure, it’s a little sceney. But the food tastes good, and the service has an entertaining level of showmanship, making for a fun brunch overall.

Encina is an Oak Cliff favorite. Neighborhood locals pack into the window-lined space on weekend mornings for a casual, easy brunch fueled by hatch chile-loaded breakfast sandwiches or hash-brown-and-egg-topped burgers. We’re big fans of their blue corn pancakes and the goat guisada tacos with a punch of fresno chile slaw. The bar pours excellent espresso martinis and carajillos—drinking one of those doesn't technically count as exercise, but it’ll get your heart racing nonetheless.

Beverley's in Dallas.

Beverley’s Bistro & Bar

Beverley’s is an upscale bistro that levels up Jewish classics—think chicken confit floating in matzo ball soup and latkes with crème fraîche and caviar. Their cold bar has smoked whitefish dip and a refreshing hamachi crudo with pops of green apple and jalapeño. The wagyu pastrami sandwich is piled high with gruyère, crisp coleslaw, and tangy russian dressing, and it’s big enough to split. They do great cocktails as well, like the espresso martinis dusted with nutmeg and orange zest, which will buy you a couple hours before the post-brunch nap sets in.

Georgie is one of the city’s hottest dinner reservations. But don’t sleep on brunch, when you can try this place for less money than usual. There’s still caviar, if you really want to go for it, but otherwise the smart move is to order a comforting plate of the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding and horseradish cream. For a lighter meal, order the breakfast salad with farro and a poached egg or vegan enchiladas rancheros. Whichever way you go, pair it with something from their spritz menu.
