Located at Levington Marina in an area of outstanding natural beauty we are privileged to enjoy stunning and extensive views from our terrace overlooking the Marina and the Orwell River.

For those that love to venture our location is perfectly positioned for you to take a leisurely walk, run or cycle in one of Suffolk’s most beautiful public walks accessible from Nacton Village through to Levington Creek and beyond, you can park safely off road as you approach the marina.

Join us and enjoy freshly made breakfast and lunch options, scrumptious cakes and other homemade bakes, all sourced from local suppliers or made onsite, relax on our terrace with a fresh barrister coffee of your choice.

For visiting yachts, we provide essential boxes which can be booked in advance ready for your arrival, we stock some wonderful local produce including cheese, bacon, fresh bread, milk and other seasonal items.

We value our environment and have adopted a planet friendly approach to service, a compostable and biodegradable ethos that is fully takeaway to the terrace whilst we all work through unprecedented times.

Delightful first visit, esp as we wanted an outside area to meet up in. Food was delish and service very good. Will come again for due esp in the summer.

We come up to Ipswich often and love cycling here for a coffee and snack. Lovely fresh food with great views.

Lovely homemade scones and quiches. Beautiful view across the marina and friendly service. A good stop before the marina walk. Amazing spot.

An excellent service with wonderful staff – I look for any excuse to visit this cafe. Extremely dog friendly and would make a mark on anyone’s morning or afternoon. Brilliant development after a year of uncertainty. Bring on the Huffer – this morning I’m going for a bacon and sausage huffer – delicious.

This place is well worth a visit. Pleasant and professional staff. A perfect out of the way place to meet friends and catch a snack in a peaceful surroundings. Plenty of parking, just short of the barrier into the yacht harbour.

A great spot to stop wether spending the weekend or taking a short – walk the harbour Kath kitchen is guaranteed to provide you with great snacks hot drinks and morning meals for one, two or all of the family. You must try the sausage and bacon huffer 🤤

Suffolk Yacht Harbour Acquires OneSails & Evolution Rigging

John Parker’s OneSails GBR (East) and Evolution Rigging have been acquired by Suffolk Yacht Harbour.

Founded in 1967, Suffolk Yacht Harbour is packed with a wide array of facilities, including the largest boat lifting and launching facilities from Yorkshire to the Solent on the south coast. This 550-berth leading independent marina will take on two new businesses under their existing brands – OneSails GBR (East) and Evolution Rigging. Located on site at SYH, the move of these two businesses, formerly owned by John Parker , will help to continue SYH’s strategy to supply berth holders and marine visitors with a one-stop-shop and continue it’s reputation as marine hub.

SYH Managing Director Joshua Major commented, “OneSails and Evolution Rigging already work closely with our team, they are part of the fabric of SYH, so this is a natural progression for all parties. The existing staff will continue to work as normal; it’s very much business as usual.”

SYH Chairman Jonathan Dyke added, “SYH has worked with John Parker, the previous owner of the two businesses, for nearly 40 years so we have in-depth knowledge of the staff, customers, products, and expectations going forwards. We will continue to build on the solid foundations established by John and his team, ensuring customer service remains of the utmost importance.”

John Parker has been around since the chaotic days of measure and cut, before CAD design and laser cutting, and he will continue to work as a consultant to aid business continuity.

John Parker said, “OneSails and Evolution Rigging are in safe hands under SYH ownership. They have close experience and knowledge of both businesses, which I am sure will thrive under the new management. Having been a sailmaker for over 40 years it is in my DNA and that doesn’t just go away overnight. I will continue to work with the team to ensure a smooth transition for customers, staff, and suppliers.”

Award-winning Executive Chef Ted Dorsey has curated an incredible menu featuring “Coastal Cuisine rooted in Southern Hospitality.” Nestled in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, Florida, Sonata Restaurant is a harmonious blend of the Three Arts – theater, culinary, and visual. The name, “Sonata,” derives its inspiration from the musical term, signifying a composition that brings together diverse elements in a harmonious way, much like the seamless fusion of flavors, culture, and the arts within our walls.

Step inside Sonata, and you’ll immediately sense the theatrical ambiance. Our dining space is an elegant stage, adorned with captivating artwork from Trish Duggan of Imagine Museum, evoking the vibrant art scene of St. Petersburg. The walls come alive with the work of local artists, their creations changing with the seasons, creating an ever-evolving visual symphony that accompanies your dining experience – all part of a collaboration with the theater, restaurant and visual arts – a vision inspired by  Bill Edwards  to create a destination for the arts in St. Petersburg.

You can come to the restaurant or lounge and enjoy the cuisine with a view whether you attend a show or not. Open 6 days – Tuesday through Sunday.

Marina & Berthing

An easily-accessible haven on the east coast.

Whether you are a long-standing berth holder or a weekend visitor, SYH provides a friendly welcome and a range of onsite services and facilities.

Suffolk Yacht Harbour (SYH) has 550 marina berths and additional swinging moorings.

The marina has berthing for yachts up to 21.3m (70 feet) with a maximum draft of 2.5m (8.2 feet).

The berthing office is open from 8.00am to 5.30pm, seven days a week, except for the Christmas and New Year bank holidays.

Visiting yachts.

If you are visiting Suffolk Yacht Harbour (SYH), you will need to request a temporary berth or mooring via the berthing office. Upon arrival at the marina, visit the berthing office, located within the main reception building.

Wifi, Power & Water

All pontoon berths have 16amp metered power hook-ups and fresh water nearby. Electricity and wifi is included in the fees for visiting yachts.

Haven Ports Yacht Club

Located in the famous red LV78 lightship, HPYC offers a warm welcome, food and drinks for members and visitors.

Security & CCTV

CCTV is in operation throughout the marina.

Self-launch Slipway

A slipway is available near the fuel berth for self-launchers and berth-holders. Contact the marina office or chandlery to find out more.

Marine Businesses

Eleven marine businesses operate onsite at SYH, including a classic boat chandlery, sail making, rigging, engineering and electronics.

Toilets & Showers

The marina has three state-of-the-art shower facilities, which are free for berth holders and visitors.  One is located opposite the lightship, one at the east end of the harbour, and one at the west end of the harbour. Contact the chandlery or berthing office for the access code.

SYH’s facilities for visiting yachts include laundry, recycling facilities, and electric vehicle charging.

A one stop shop

From repairs to regattas, chandleries and berthing, SYH is a thriving hub of marine activity.  With modern workshops and a suite of lifting and launching capabilities, SYH’s experienced in-house team is able to offer an array of services.  Marina users also have access to SYH’s 11 onsite businesses from sail making to rigging, electronic, stainless steel fabrication and sailing schools.
