How To Enter GTA 5 Cheats on PS5, PS4 & PS3

There are two ways to enter GTA 5 cheats for PS4, PS3, and in the Expanded & Enhanced edition for PS5:

• Controller Cheats: similar to classic GTA games, quickly enter the button combinations on the controller for your desired GTA 5 cheats. You can also enter these in the pause menu.

You can enter GTA 5 cheats on PS4 at any time during general gameplay using the method you prefer, either via the controller or as GTA 5 cell phone cheats. A " Cheat Activated " message will appear on the bottom left of the screen to confirm the activation of the effect.

Unlike cheats in GTA IV , the GTA 5 phone cheats are not stored on the cellphone and must be re-entered each time. However, you can press * on the dial pad to quickly re-enter the last cheat you used.

You can de-activate some GTA V cheats by simply re-entering them, although certain cheats require you to restart the game or reload a previous save file in order to remove them. The GTA 5 cheats also get disabled when your character dies.

Note: several cheats only work in Freeroam and cannot be activated during missions or in restricted areas. In those cases, the game will show a " Cheat Denied " message.

Do GTA 5 Cheats Disable Trophies?

Using cheat codes in GTA 5 will temporarily disable Trophies & Achievements , but only for the current play session .

This means that after you restart the game and reload the save file, cheats will be de-activated and you will be able to earn achievements again. While there is a lot of misinformation about this topic, this is the definitive answer. So unlike classic GTA games, the GTA 5 cheats don't permanently block trophies , even if you saved while cheats were active.

Activating GTA V cheat codes on PS5/PS4/PS3 also prevents you from getting a higher rating than Bronze medals in missions, but again, just for the current game session until you restart the game. It's also important to note that using GTA 5 cheat codes doesn't prevent you from obtaining 100% completion of the game , they're safe to use.

In any case, it's always recommended to save the game before using cheats in Grand Theft Auto V, so that you always have a "clean" save slot where you have not used cheats.

Can you use the GTA 5 Phone Cheats on PS3?

The GTA 5 Phone Cheats were introduced with the Enhanced Edition of GTA 5 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.

So the phone cheats are not available on the original PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. The only way to enter cheats on the old-generation consoles is via controller button combinations.

GTA 5 Cheats: Play as Any Character & Animals (via Director Mode)

In addition to the main single-player mode and the GTA Online multiplayer, Grand Theft Auto V for PC, PS4, and Xbox One also comes with a special "Director Mode".

The GTA 5 Director Mode gives you the freedom to play as any character model in the game , from Story Mode characters , hundreds of NPC & Pedestrians and even Animals - and free-roam around San Andreas. You can also select your GTA Online character .

GTA 5 PS4 and PS5 Cheats: All Cheat Codes for Grand Theft Auto 5

Why play by the rules when you can simply key in a cheat.

Let’s face it; the Grand Theft Auto series has never been about playing by the rules. So if you want to play dirty, we’ve rounded up all cheats for GTA 5 on PS4 and PS5 .

Why bother stealing a vehicle when you can just spawn one Right where you stand? There are absolutely tonnes of GTA 5 cheat codes on PS4 and PS5, allowing players to do everything from making themselves invincible to making themselves drunk. We’re not sure why you’d want to, but hey, you do you. What happens in Los Santos stays in Los Santos.

On PS4 and PS5, GTA 5 cheats are inputted by pressing a series of buttons on the controller in quick succession. Below, we’ve listed each of the cheats and the string of buttons to press in order to activate it.

Before you start using cheats in  Grand Theft Auto 5 , though, remember that using them will stop you unlocking any trophies in that current play session. It may mean that certain story trophies remain locked out, so use these cheats with caution!

GTA 5 Cheats on PS4 and PS5: Make gameplay easier

• Lower Wanted Level : R1, R1, Circle, R2, Right, Left, Right, Left, Right, Left
• Max Health and Armor : Circle, L1, Triangle, R2, X, Square, Circle, Right, Square, L1, L1, L1
• Invincibility (lasts five minutes) : Right, X, Right, Left, Right, R1, Right, Left, X, Triangle

Make gameplay harder (or weirder!)
