St Barth, Caribbean  

For those lucky enough to be in St Barthelemy on New Years Eve, the Caribbean gem conjures up a star-filled night that is unique to the island. From celebrating barefoot on the beach with some of the world’s most famous personalities, to dancing on deck, the atmosphere here is both chic and relaxed at the same time.  

The place to be if you’re feeling sociable is on board a yacht berthed inside the Port de Plaisance in Gustavia, which, with only 60 berths available, is probably the most prestigious New Year’s Eve setting in the world. Last year the port and its surrounding anchorage saw more than 130 yachts and their guests celebrate the new year in style.  

Kick off the celebrations, cocktail in hand, as you watch the New Year’s Eve Regatta. Back on board enjoy the festivities and the traditional fireworks display, followed by dancing on deck or ashore at Eden Rock, Nikki Beach, La Plage or Le Yacht Club, to name just a few of the after-midnight venues where you can celebrate into the early hours.   

The main event: St Barth's midnight fireworks are not to be missed. When the clock strikes 12, the sky above Fort Oscar explodes with a display that lights up the entire island. A spectacular sight, best enjoyed from the decks of a superyacht, with foghorns blowing.   

Go for:  Fireworks, parties, chic beach clubs and some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean. And after an unforgettable night of celebration, recharge those batteries, embrace the laid-back atmosphere and let the soothing ocean breeze wash away any traces of the previous night’s festivities.  

Sydney, Australia  

As one of the world’s most iconic waterfront settings, Sydney Harbour really comes into its own on New Year’s Eve. From the spectacular fireworks display over the harbour itself to an amalgamation of displays all over the suburbs, as the clock strikes midnight the sky lights up to a dazzling show. And once midnight has struck and the fireworks have fallen from the skies a further light show of illuminated vessels light up the waterfront with the Harbour Light Parade.  

However, it’s not all about the illuminations. Revelries ramp up long before the countdown, with parties kicking off all over the city from mid-afternoon as crowds begin to gather along the harbourside. For those stepping ashore either before or after the main event there are several ticketed events, the hottest of which is the Opera Bar. Partygoers looking to celebrate well into the early hours should head to Sydney’s city centre, where world-class clubs, including Café del Mar Sydney and the Employees Only Bar, offer an exciting line-up of electrifying music to keep the celebrations going.  

The main event: The fireworks over Sydney Harbour are among the first in the world to welcome in the new year. For the best views over the harbour and the illuminations, try and anchor opposite Bradleys Head where vessels of 30m plus are allocated a specific area. 

Go for: Fireworks over Sydney Harbour, world-class nightclubs and a gourmet scene to rival anywhere in the world.  

Grenada, Caribbean  

The Caribbean island of Grenada has a happening nightlife throughout the year so come the holiday season, and in particular New Year’s Eve, and the island celebrates in traditional Caribbean style. The capital St George’s is the place to head. Berthed on your yacht in nearby Port Louis Marina, which is conveniently located just across the water from the capital, enjoy the carnival-like atmosphere from afar or join the party which both starts and finishes late.   

Music and dancing fill the cobblestone waterfront setting of St George’s, carrying on into the early hours, with some heading to Grand Anse Beach to dance barefoot in the sand. And for the next day, a dip in the cold-water pools beneath the island’s famous waterfalls will certainly clear your head.   

The main event: Port Louis fireworks over St George’s, live music and DJ sets at Port Louis’ Victory Bar and Restaurant.  

Go for: Rum punch, white sand beaches, sunsets and stunning waterfalls.  

• The Bahamas

The Bahamas offers a variety of activities for New Year’s Eve. From parties at local restaurants, hanging out with friends at a lively bar, or your very own private sunset picnic on a deserted beach, whatever you choose to do, the Bajan culture calls for all-out celebration, with festivals and colourful parades continuing into the early hours.  

Ring in the new year and the countdown to midnight with a party on board your yacht before heading ashore for a traditional New Year’s Day Junkanoo Parade. The largest celebration is in Nassau, where dancers and elaborate costumes fill the main streets with a parade accompanied by whistles, drums and oil barrels that lasts from around 2am until mid-morning on New Year’s Day. 

For a more relaxed welcome to the new year, head to the Exumas or Abacos, where local bars open until the early hours and the waterborne mingle with locals in traditional Bajan style – a rum punch and toes in the sand celebration.  

The main event: Junkanoo parade through the streets of Nassau. 

Go for: Pink sand beaches, conch fritters and Bajan celebrations. 

Phuket , Thailand  

Searching for something a little different to the Caribbean or The Bahamas? From tranquil anchorages among film-set locations to hedonistic Full Moon parties, Thailand’s beaches offer a full range of New Year’s Eve settings, with Phuket perhaps being a happy medium between the two. This well-known Thai island likes to party at the best of times but energised by the anticipation of a fresh start in the coming year, Phuket really excels in the party stakes.  

Set to the backdrop of the western sunset, the west coast is the best place to head for the main party scene, with Patong Beach at the centre of the action. For those looking to enjoy a slightly less hedonistic welcome to the new year, the sparkling waters off Surin Beach also offer the perfect anchorage from which to enjoy the festivities from the luxurious comfort of your yacht.  

Take the tender ashore for sunset cocktails at the number one beach club party spot, before returning to enjoy superb cuisine and your own New Year’s Eve party. As the countdown approaches, toast the new year in refined style and enjoy the lightshow staged by the Amanpuri resort before joining the Beach Club After Party.

“We had an amazing night at the skyline princess on new year’s eve!!! Lovely furniture with round tables, funny celebration stuff on them (like hats, crowns, bracelets…) for the guests, very friendly and obliging staff, good music and dance possibilities on a separate deck, and a stunning view over the skyline, Statue of Liberty, and the fireworks right next to it. All drinks and food were included. The food was very delicious and the drinks were good mixed. They even had Malibu!!! 🙂 We would definitely recommend these guys!! It was an excellent experience and definitely the better option than spending New Year’s Eve at the cold and overcrowded Times Square ;)”   — Elena S

Ample Parking is available adjacent to the James L. Knight International Center in the 1,450 space Knight Center / Miami Tower garage operated by Miami Parking Systems. Once on the hotel drive, valet parking will be on your left. For self-parking, bear to the right and take the next right into the Knight Center / Miami Tower garage. An additional 1500 spaces are accessible within two blocks.

Valet parking is owned by the Hyatt Regency Miami and operated by Central Parking Systems. Please note that we do not validate or offer any discounted rates for valet.

No alcohol, open containers or outside food is permitted. No illegal drugs or controlled substances, including prescription drugs and marijuana, will be tolerated. Using marijuana on the water is illegal, regardless of medical condition(s). The use and/or possession of illegal drugs or controlled substances is absolutely prohibited by the US Coast Guard.

Yacht Company holds a zero tolerance policy related to illegal substances aboard all vessels and anyone who is caught participating or processing any such items will not be allowed to board and substances will be confiscated.

If you are thought to be under the influence of, or caught participating in, illegal substances on board, you will be quarantined until the boat can safely return to dock - the cruise is subject to end for all guests immediately upon doing so; no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. PURCHASE POLICY

NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. ALL SALES FINAL: There are NO REFUNDS, NO CANCELLATIONS, no credits, no exchanges, and no transfers after the order has been made.

Credit Card & ID:

You must present the original credit card used to purchase the ticket and a valid Government Issued Photo Identification (along with your e-tickets that have been emailed to you via Eventbrite when your order was placed): the name on both the credit card and ID match the name on your purchased tickets, in order to gain entry to the event. If the name on the Credit Card and/or ID does not match the tickets, or if you do not have both the credit card used to make the purchase and government issued identification, you will be denied entry to event without a refund.

If you encounter a problem at the event, you must file a complaint with Promoter within 5 calendar days following the date of the event; failure to contact Promoter within the 5-day period will be a complete waiver of your right to request compensation whether monetary or otherwise. Purchase Policy:

By placing an order, you are confirming that you received this policy and are agreeing to abide by the clauses within. This Purchase Policy is a binding contract between you and event Promoter.

Event Booking:

By purchasing a ticket, package or reservation you're entitled to entry to event you're purchasing it for. At the time of your order, Eventbrite will place an order for your ticket(s) in the Promoter’s ticketing system, reducing the number of tickets available for the chosen event. Before purchasing your ticket(s) we urge you to confirm the title, time and location of the event(s) you wish to attend, as there are no refunds. Each event has a definitive date, start time and end time. If you do not show up to the event, you understand that you are forfeiting your ticket(s) and therefore your ticketing fee (the entirety of what you paid) will not be returned to you. If you do not attend your event, you're still 100% financially liable for your purchase. If you cannot attend event, you will not receive refund.

Alcohol, Seating, Food:

There is no seating or food; unless otherwise stated in event listing. If food is provided; then it is a ‘first come, first served basis,’ unless the event listing or ticket description clearly states that it is available for a specific time period or for entire event duration. If the event description states there is food for any period during the event, and there is no food available when you choose to eat, please know that the venue is replenishing the food. If you have waited for an extended period of time and the food has not been replenished, please contact venue management at the event for an estimated time that the food will be ready for you. If there are periods of time when food is not available for you due to the venue replenishing said food, no matter how long the wait(s), such is not grounds for a refund. Please contact us with any questions.

Event Cancellations:

If the event is canceled you will receive a refund for the face value of the ticket.

No Refunds:

Unforeseen circumstances beyond promoter’s control will not be grounds for a refund, including but not limited to the following: local or national weather conditions, natural disasters, waiting in lines, extended waits in lines, family emergencies, medical emergencies, employment issues including layoffs, traffic, parking, public or private transportation issues, etc. If you purchased for the incorrect date, location, event, etc, promoter is not obligated to provide a refund, credit, exchange or transfer. If cancellation or transfer request is approved, promoter reserves the right to charge a $10 administrative fee for its time, in addition to charging a $10 restocking fee per ticket if tickets are placed back on sale. Promoters, Venue Owners, Venue Management, Security, Event Staff, and other agents of the event, have the right to refuse entry to any ticket-holder, without a refund, for any reason at their discretion , including but not limited to: disorderly behavior, failing to comply with the rules of the venue, incorrect attire, intoxication, venue capacity, breach of security, and other restrictions. Ticket-holder is aware that the Venue and Talent are subject to change without notice, which are not grounds for a refund. Ticket-holder is aware that amenities promised by Promoter are not guaranteed, and are not grounds for a refund, including but not limited to: VIP amenities, drink specials, drink tickets, gifts, express entry, special areas, celebrity guests, etc. Dissatisfaction with any aspect of the event is not grounds for a refund, including but not limited to: music, DJ(s), decorations or lack thereof, party favors or lack thereof, beverages or lack thereof, alcohol selection, bar staff, food availability and selection, fellow patrons/attendees, venue staff, event staff, security, performances, ambiance, amenities, venue, check-in process, seating or lack of seating, wait in lines, emergency closures of event, emergency return of boats or yachts, delayed commencing of events, early ending of events, public amenities such as fireworks or public performances or the lack thereof, line of sight of public amenities such as fireworks or public performances being blocked by trees, buildings, boats, people, and/or other things, etc.

Release of Liability:

By purchasing the tickets through Eventbrite, you hereby release and forever discharge Promoter from any liability or claims for damages that may arise as a result of your attendance at, and voluntary participation in, the event(s), including claims for personal injury, or damage to personal property, or any other claims for negligence on the part of the event’s Promoter. By purchasing the tickets through Eventbrite for this event, you hereby release and forever discharge event Promoter, and their officers and agents, from any liability or claims for damages that may arise as a result of your attendance and participation at the event(s). It is hereby understood that the purchase of tickets by you and your participation in the events shall not be construed as an assumption on the part of Promoter of responsibility, liability, or control of the events.

By Purchasing tickets for this event, ticket purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless event Promoter, said entities officers, owners, employees, and agents, from and against all claims, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees arising out of or by reason of complying with this Indemnity Clause. Ticket purchaser, their heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, hereby release, remise, and forever discharge event Promoter and its entities owners, officers, employees and agents, from all manner of actions, causes of actions, suits, debts, judgments, executions, claims, demands whatsoever, known or unknown, in law or equity, which ticket-holder has ever had, now have, may have, or claim against event Promoter.

Collections & Legal Action Against Debt:

Once you make a purchase, if those funds are removed from the Promoter's account and given back to you, you owe the Promoter that money back, plus applicable fees as outlined below. If you owe money to Promoter, Promoter reserves the right to take legal action against you and/or send you to collections for the recovery of said debt. If you are sent to collection or there is legal action taken against you, you are fiscally responsible for any and all legal costs and fees, directly associated and/or indirectly associated, with recovering the debt owed by you. Promoter's collection’s agencies reserve the right to negatively affect your personal credit score until your debt is paid. Once an account has been placed in collections, the only way to get yourself out of Collections is to pay the debt owed by you to the collections agency.

Arbitration Agreement:

In the event there are any legal disputes against Promoter, by agreeing to this Purchase Policy, you agree that such disputes will be arbitrated. You further agree that the location of arbitration will be set in Los Angeles County, California.

Covid-19 Protocol (if any at all) For All Guests will be announced closer to the event date, and will be based on current CDC Guideline and City of Miami's protocols to party safely and responsibly. If event is canceled due to Covid-19, you'll be refunded.

No alcohol, open containers or outside food is permitted. No illegal drugs or controlled substances, including prescription drugs and marijuana, will be tolerated. Using marijuana on the water is illegal, regardless of medical condition(s). The use and/or possession of illegal drugs or controlled substances is absolutely prohibited by the US Coast Guard.

Yacht Company holds a zero tolerance policy related to illegal substances aboard all vessels and anyone who is caught participating or processing any such items will not be allowed to board and substances will be confiscated.

If you are thought to be under the influence of, or caught participating in, illegal substances on board, you will be quarantined until the boat can safely return to dock and the cruise will be subject to end for all guests immediately upon doing so. Purchase Policy

NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES. ALL SALES FINAL: There are NO REFUNDS, NO CANCELLATIONS, no credits, no exchanges, and no transfers after the order has been made.

Credit Card & ID:

You must present the original credit card used to purchase the ticket and a valid Government Issued Photo Identification (along with your e-tickets that have been emailed to you via Eventbrite when your order was placed): the name on both the credit card and ID match the name on your purchased tickets, in order to gain entry to the event. If the name on the Credit Card and/or ID does not match the tickets, or if you do not have both the credit card used to make the purchase and government issued identification, you will be denied entry to event without a refund.

Covid Policy:

No credit or refund will be issued as a result of the ticket purchaser or any person in the party contracting COVID-19 or a variant alike. By purchasing tickets to a VIP Nightlife Event, you understand and agree that tickets are non-refundable and you are assuming the risk that you may not be able to use tickets purchased if you contract COVID-19 or variants alike. You further agree that you will not attend any VIP Nightlife event if you currently have symptoms of COVID-19, have been exposed to COVID-19 prior to attending and/or have tested positive for COVID-19 and have not completed the CDC recommended quarantine period. Be advised attendees may be required to show proof of vaccine and/or a negative test result. As the rules for events vary by location and change often, please check your local listing and respective government authorities for any applicable rules that may apply to you. You will not receive a refund if you are unable to attend an event due to any non-compliance with local rules, event guidelines, vaccine status, or failure to provide a negative test result. However, VIP Nightlife may allow you to transfer your tickets for any reason to another person by having the ticket purchaser email customer service within 24 hours of the event [email protected] with a copy of the original ticket purchaser's photo ID and credit card used to purchase the tickets along with the email address and name of the customer to whom the tickets will be transferred. Please be advised that VIP Nightlife may not be able to honor all requests for transfers if they are made outside of business hours or too close to the time of the actual event.

If you encounter a problem at the event, you must file a complaint with Promoter within 5 calendar days following the date of the event; failure to contact Promoter within the 5-day period will be a complete waiver of your right to request compensation whether monetary or otherwise. Purchase Policy:

By placing an order, you are confirming that you received this policy and are agreeing to abide by the clauses within. This Purchase Policy is a binding contract between you and event Promoter.

Event Booking:

By purchasing a ticket, package or reservation you're entitled to entry to event you're purchasing it for. At the time of your order, Eventbrite will place an order for your ticket(s) in the Promoter’s ticketing system, reducing the number of tickets available for the chosen event. Before purchasing your ticket(s) we urge you to confirm the title, time and location of the event(s) you wish to attend, as there are no refunds. Each event has a definitive date, start time and end time. If you do not show up to the event, you understand that you are forfeiting your ticket(s) and therefore your ticketing fee (the entirety of what you paid) will not be returned to you. If you do not attend your event, you're still 100% financially liable for your purchase. If you cannot attend event, you will not receive refund.

Event Cancellations:

If the event is canceled you will receive a refund for the face value of the ticket.

No Refunds:

Unforeseen circumstances beyond promoter’s control will not be grounds for a refund, including but not limited to the following: local or national weather conditions, natural disasters, waiting in lines, extended waits in lines, family emergencies, medical emergencies, employment issues including layoffs, traffic, parking, public or private transportation issues, etc. If you purchased for the incorrect date, location, event, etc, promoter is not obligated to provide a refund, credit, exchange or transfer. If cancellation or transfer request is approved, promoter reserves the right to charge a $10 administrative fee for its time, in addition to charging a $10 restocking fee per ticket if tickets are placed back on sale. Promoters, Venue Owners, Venue Management, Security, Event Staff, and other agents of the event, have the right to refuse entry to any ticket-holder, without a refund, for any reason at their discretion , including but not limited to: disorderly behavior, failing to comply with the rules of the venue, incorrect attire, intoxication, venue capacity, breach of security, and other restrictions. Ticket-holder is aware that amenities promised by Promoter are not guaranteed, and are not grounds for a refund, including but not limited to: VIP amenities, drink specials, drink tickets, gifts, express entry, special areas, celebrity guests, etc. Dissatisfaction with any aspect of the event is not grounds for a refund, including but not limited to: music, DJ(s), decorations or lack thereof, party favors or lack thereof, beverages or lack thereof, alcohol selection, bar staff, food availability and selection, fellow patrons/attendees, venue staff, event staff, security, performances, ambiance, amenities, venue, check-in process, seating or lack of seating, wait in lines, emergency closures of event, emergency return of boats or yachts, delayed commencing of events, early ending of events, public amenities such as fireworks or public performances or the lack thereof, line of sight of public amenities such as fireworks or public performances being blocked by trees, buildings, boats, people, and/or other things, etc.

Release of Liability:

By purchasing the tickets through Eventbrite, you hereby release and forever discharge Promoter from any liability or claims for damages that may arise as a result of your attendance at, and voluntary participation in, the event(s), including claims for personal injury, or damage to personal property, or any other claims for negligence on the part of the event’s Promoter. By purchasing the tickets through Eventbrite for this event, you hereby release and forever discharge event Promoter, and their officers and agents, from any liability or claims for damages that may arise as a result of your attendance and participation at the event(s). It is hereby understood that the purchase of tickets by you and your participation in the events shall not be construed as an assumption on the part of Promoter of responsibility, liability, or control of the events.

By Purchasing tickets for this event, ticket purchaser agrees to indemnify and hold harmless event Promoter, said entities officers, owners, employees, and agents, from and against all claims, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees arising out of or by reason of complying with this Indemnity Clause. Collections & Legal Action Against Debt:

Once you make a purchase, if those funds are removed from the Promoter's account and given back to you, you owe the Promoter that money back, plus applicable fees as outlined below. If you owe money to Promoter, Promoter reserves the right to take legal action against you and/or send you to collections for the recovery of said debt. If you are sent to collection or there is legal action taken against you, you are fiscally responsible for any and all legal costs and fees, directly associated and/or indirectly associated, with recovering the debt owed by you. Promoter's collection’s agencies reserve the right to negatively affect your personal credit score until your debt is paid. Arbitration Agreement:

The Ultimate New Year’s Eve Party Is On Paradise Island in The Bahamas

For years, it’s been the number one New Year’s Eve destination in the Caribbean, hosting the biggest names and the biggest party to ring in the New Year.

Now, Atlantis Paradise Island is doing it again. The Bahamian resort has unveiled its New Year’s lineup of events with five nights of live entertainment, culminating in the Party Like a Royal New Year’s Eve celebration.

Superstar talent headlines the festivities starting Friday, December 27, when 2x-GRAMMY nominated artist, DJ and music producer Steve Aoki will light up Aura Nightclub and captivate guests with his signature style of electronic dance music. 

Aoki has performed at every top festival worldwide, including Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza, Fuji Rock Festival, Tomorrowland and Electric Daisy Carnival. 

Festivities continue Saturday, December 28, as Bar Sol welcomes GRAMMY award-winning R&B group 112.  The group’s legendary debut album, “112,” went double Platinum and was followed by hit records like “Cupid” and “Only You,” which showcase memorable features from the late, great Notorious B.I.G.  Admission is complimentary. 

On Dec. 30, Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience performs at Bar Sol. 

As the world’s longest-running tribute to Michael Jackson and the only one to predate his passing,  Who’s Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Experience celebrates the music, the magic, and the legacy of the King of Pop: Michael Jackson. The entertainment continues Dec. 31, with the renowned Party Like a Royal event at Atlantis’ Royal Deck under the resort’s famed Royal Towers. 

The talented comedian, actor and producer Adam Devine, most known for his roles in Pitch Perfect and Workaholics, hosts the evening. 

The night will begin with a DJ set from the GRAMMY award-winning, Multi-Platinum artist Lil Jon, the mastermind behind memorable hits “Turn Down for What,” “Get Loose,” Live the Night” and “Take it Off.” 

The night continues with a performance by a surprise musical act, a midnight display of fireworks, and a set by DJ Webstar until 1:30 a.m.

DOUGLAS, Ariz. – Too little, too late?

Vice President Kamala Harris made her first visit to the US-Mexico border as the Democratic presidential nominee Friday to hastily announce measures meant to mitigate the ongoing border crisis fewer than 40 days before election day — despite having been the White House border “czar” for more than three-and-a-half years.

“The United States is a sovereign nation, and I believe we have a duty to set rules at our border and to enforce them,” Harris, 59, said at a rally after touring a section of the border wall in Cochise County.

“And I take that responsibility very seriously.”

She announced that if elected the 47th president, she would improve on an executive order announced by President Biden in June that barred migrants from applying for asylum when they cross the border illegally. 

“I will do more to secure our border, to reduce illegal border crossings,” Harris said. “I will take further action to keep the border closed between ports of entry.” 

“Those who cross our borders unlawfully will be apprehended and removed and barred from re-entering for five years,” the Democratic nominee pledged.

“We will pursue more severe criminal charges against repeat violators, and if someone does not make an asylum request at a legal point of entry, and instead crosses our border unlawfully, they will be barred from receiving asylum.” 

Her proposed tweaks to the 81-year-old president’s executive order were followed by a pledge to pursue amnesty for certain illegal immigrants already in the United States. 

“I reject the false choice that suggests we must either choose between securing our border or creating a system of immigration that is safe, orderly, and humane,” Harris said. “We can, and we must, do both.

“As president, I will work with Congress to create, at long last, a pathway to citizenship for hard-working immigrants who have been here for years, for years, and deserve to have a system that works,” she vowed. 

Harris indicated that she would implore Congress to create “pathways for citizenship” for illegal immigrants brought to the US as children and for migrant farm workers as well. 

She also accused former President Donald Trump, 78, of “sabotage” for opposing a Senate border bill over the summer, and vowed she would “bring it back up and proudly sign into law” if elected.

“The issue of border security is not a new issue to me,” the Biden border “czar” said before touting her work from nearly a decade ago countering transnational criminal organizations as California’s attorney general. 

“As attorney general of California, it was 10 years ago that I brought a bipartisan group of American attorneys general and led that group to travel to Mexico City to meet with Mexican attorneys general to address this issue, and in particular, to increase intelligence sharing on gang activity, all of which allowed us to prosecute more human traffickers,” she proudly recalled. 

“So stopping transnational criminal organizations and strengthening our border is not new to me, and it is a longstanding priority of mine,” Harris claimed. “I have done that work, and I will continue to treat it as a priority when I am elected president of the United States.”

The Trump campaign slammed the trip to Douglas, Ariz. as a last-ditch effort by Harris to salvage her image on the issue.

“Why didn’t she fix it almost four years ago?” Trump asked reporters during a news conference at Trump Tower Thursday.

“She’s got no plans, got no talent, got no ability to do it.”

Douglas, a former mining town with a population of around 16,000, is located in US Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector, one of the busiest for illegal crossings.

Since Oct. 1, 2023, more than 452,000 migrant encounters have been recorded, according to United States Customs and Border Protection data .

Although arrests have dropped since Biden’s June order, critics argue that the damage has already been done.

“I think what has got to happen is, regardless of the administration, I think that at some places you do need to secure the border, primarily because of human trafficking,” Tom Moffett, a minister from nearby Sonoita, told The Post.

“And that border is many times a last stop for someone being human trafficked.

“I think that you definitely need to secure the border. I think it became much more unsecure under this administration than it was the last administration, because I’ve got a lot of Border Patrol friends and this is coming from them.”

Bill Fortenberry, an actor based in the Old West-themed tourist city of Tombstone, agreed the situation has worsened in recent years.

“I see a lot more activity going on,” he said.

“I think we have some smart people in office on both sides. And regardless of who wins, I think that it is something that needs to be addressed. Because right now … what’s going on really isn’t working, but I feel for everybody involved.”

According to the RealClearPolitics polling average , Trump leads Harris by two percentage points head-to-head in Arizona, which he lost to Biden four years ago.

“Kamala’s last-minute trip to the border and empty calls for more security 39 days before the election will not rewrite the past 44 months of chaos, crime, and bloodshed caused by her open border policy,” Trump spokesperson Karoline Leavitt said in a statement.

“Over the past four years as Vice President, Kamala  laughed when asked why she hadn’t visited the border , denied the existence of a crisis, and pushed for mass amnesty. 

Throughout her entire career, Kamala has fought against more funding for Border Patrol, called to abolish ICE, and voted against construction of President Trump’s border wall,” she continued.

“The American people will not be deceived by Kamala’s political games — they are smart enough to realize Kamala Harris has been in charge of the border for four years and she has failed.”
