Maiora Yachts launches third hull in 35m Exuma series

Italian shipyard Maiora Yachts , a brand of Next Yacht Group , has launched the third hull in its Maiora 35 Exuma series. The 35-metre model now joins sisterships Pesa II and Lady Nina on the water.

The launch follows an "unprecedented" performance on sea trials, according to the shipyard. Recording a peak speed of over 45 knots before her final outfit, the unit's impressive top speed is credited to her "innovative hull design" and her propulsion system, which features a trio of water jets powered by three MTU engines. 

The 300GT series is defined by a vertical bow, open stern and deck configuration that sees a pilothouse forward of the main deck master cabin. While interior details have not been disclosed, the broad exterior glazing will translate into airy living spaces, with the main saloon's floor-to-ceiling windows in the main saloon extending forward to the master suite.

Installed with sliding doors, the series' upper deck can be closed off as an air-conditioned dining space or opened to create a 130-square-metre flybridge with a "moon-roof" that opens near-fully. She also has capacity for a variety of water toys and a 6.5-metre tender, stored in the side garage.

The unit can reach a maximum speed of 40 knots, while a draught of 1.3 metres enables her to navigate shallow bays and anchorages, as found in the Bahamas and Caribbean.

The new Maiora 35 Exuma will be showcased at the upcoming Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show .

According to BOATPro , Maiora Yachts has three units currently under construction. This includes another Maiora 35 Exuma, scheduled to be delivered in January 2024.

company History

Italian shipyard Maiora was founded in the early 70s and gained a reputation as one of the pioneers in the manufacture of vessels from innovative then fiberglass. In 1985, longstanding partners Maiora — Fipa Italiana Yachts owners wife Francesco Guidetti and peace Santuchchi decided to buy a yard and grow from a supplier of hulls to other shipyards in the full shipbuilder. Thanks to major investments and new technologies the brand Maiora in the composition of the Fipa Group has experienced a rebirth. Owners of the company did not stop there and from year to year colleagues to its clear development strategy and volume of financial investments. Followed by a number of bold steps. Was acquired by the famous shipyard Intermare with a large Marina in the city of Viareggio — so the company was able to increase the size range of produced vessels, as well as to carry out a full cycle after-sales service of boats, including storing them in dry docks. Sale >AB Yachts in 2001 highlighted the company's attention to high-speed open boats with jet engines thrust. So the database was created for of the world's top shipyards. The stocks began to go truly memorable yachts. The acquisition in 2005 CBI Navi has enriched its lineup of metal displacement by the courts. And in the same year appeared the first superyacht to be 43-meter Lighea Maiora of steel and aluminum.

Yachts Maiora, depending on their sizes, are manufactured in two factories in the province of Tuscany . In Viareggio produced a relatively small body (length up to 26 meters) and a factory in the city of Weight responsible for the construction of fiberglass yachts over 30 meters in length and two new steel models Maiora length 38 and 43 meters. The main material is popular now GRP — fiberglass reinforced plastic. The design and construction are carried out with a sufficiently high degree of customization.

Maiora 35 Exuma

Straight bow, fully open stern, and waterjet propulsion for performance which exceeds all expectations. Designed to be one of a kind and configured to suit the desires of each owner, Maiora 35 Exuma also meets the expectations of those who love life at sea and in the open air, by combining performance with surprising spaces.

One of a kind

Every vessel produced by Maiora is unique. Each yacht is one of a kind because every owner is one of a kind. Maiora offers customisation of every single detail and limitless configuration.

The flybridge is home to a climate-controlled sky-lounge that can be transformed into an open area thanks to an "infinity" full opening, sliding door, lowerable windows, and a retractable moonroof.

Maiora offers the possibility to choose the blend of interior and exterior spaces. As well as a long or short stern area connected to the sea by a wide infinity staircase or a dedicated beach area. The layout of each Maiora vessel can also be configured to suit individual needs.

It is possible to choose between a fully equipped beach area at sea level or a stern enclosed by a wide infinity staircase, which gives access to a garage for custom management of toys when opened.

Motorisation

Truly thrilling sportiness in terms of propulsion. The Exuma line’s waterjets offer unique performance including a maximum speed of 32/35 knots (choice of two engines: 3x2000hp or 3x2600hp), a low draft (1.38 m) which allows shallow anchoring near the beach, and extreme manoeuvrability.

A three-waterjet propulsion system which reaches 35 knots in total comfort and without any vibration. Extreme manoeuvrability and a draft of approximately 1.38m for exploring the magnificent beaches and waters of Cat Island, Abacos, Paradise Island and, Exumas of course! Continuity of spaces and a fluid interplay between interiors and exteriors, thanks to the natural light that floods each area. Something unique for the market.
