U.S Coast Guard Licensed Captain with 35 years experience

Just before dusk, you will board our 1904-styled Friendship sloop. We will depart the dock, hoist the sails and take in the many sights and sounds of San Diego Bay such as the Maritime Museum ships, the Coronado Bridge, various military vessels. Feel free to take the helm and steer the boat, pull some ropes, or just sit back, relax and enjoy the soft breeze, the lapping sounds of the water, and the brilliant colors of the sunset.

Captain Charter: For groups of 6 or less, your charter includes one of our Certified USCG Licensed Captains.

Bareboat Charter: To keep things shipshape with current Coast Guard regulations, we don’t include a Captain in our Bareboat Charters. But don’t sweat it! We have a list of Captains that are familiar with our program and boats. You will have the option to decide what Captain you would like to hire.

Captains charge $50/hour, plus gratuity, paid directly to the Captain day of departure.

We cruised San Diego Bay for two hours with Cruise San Diego. We chartered the boat for the final night of our family reunion. Great communication from them throughout the process. I know they also do whale watching cruises as well as other cruises. I recommend them for the organization, the incredibly convivial crew, and the wonderful experience.

It was a very pleasant cruise! We haven't spent much time in Mission Bay, so it was nice to see and learn about the area. Great drinks from the bar, great music, and the Captain and crew were absolutely fantastic. We even got to watch the Sea World fireworks, which was an added bonus. Would definitely do this cruise again or try one of their other cruises.

The staff was wonderful...so friendly. Get there early because a line develops and the seating is open seating, first come, first sit. We had a lovely time. We saw some seals and pelicans and the boat captain shared some knowledge about the wildlife. There's a bar and great music...a little something for everyone. We had fun and would do it again!

We took this cruise during our trip to San Diego for our one year anniversary, and it was perfect! The staff was amazing, knowledgeable and calming. They have a bar on board and provided blankets after it gets cool. The timing of everything on the cruise was perfect and saw a beautiful of the sunset in the bay. Great for anyone who wants a nice, relaxing time.

The crew was so fun and answered questions about wildlife and helped make us feel extremely comfortable offering blankets and anything else we might need. The crew was awesome. H i, we are Robert and Katerina Svoboda and we want to take you sailing. Let us tell you a little about ourselves before you decide to sail of the edge of the world with us.On one dark San Diego night many tides ago in a cliché drinking establishment Robert and Katerina met and started to fascinate each other. We fell in love shortly after and started our lustful affair with sailing. We have been sailing with aggressive passion for the past 14 years. Our original idea is to circumnavigate one day. After our two children grow up and support us. Just kidding. Plenty of time for that later, now we are so focused on providing for our children and elaborating on our pleasurable business.  The funny thing is… That we sat out to see the world and the world came to us. We marvel at travelers from all over the USA, Canada, China, Mexico, Arabia, Europe and Japan, all of them chasing the sunset just like us.

We have been professionally sailing people into the sunset, Catalina and Mexico for the past 10 years. We both are United State Coast Guard licensed 50-gross ton captains and have extensive experience in the southern Californian waters stretching from the northern Channel Island to the Los Coronado Islands (Mexico). Robert is 40 and is in great physical shape and capable of single handing vessel under high wind conditions. He is also extremely capable swimmer/diver. He has 15 years of intensive sailing experience. Katerina is 39, extremely smart and sensible and the best navigator a husband can have. Not to mention her European heritage making her extremely experimental in the galley and that’s one way into a man’s heart.
