We approached artist Mike Woods about creating architectural drawings for a new series of t-shirts. We began with the Grand Arcade then proceeded to the Carousel, then the old Howard Johnson’s building. This series continues to expand due to Mike Woods’ enthusiasm for the project and the almost limitless architectural history of Asbury Park. Our mission to create new icons for Asbury Park continues to grow.

Tillie... but BIG.

Tillie is the iconic fun house face of Asbury Park. Originally named for George C. Tilyou (1862-1914) of Coney Island’s Steeplechase fame. Asbury Park’s Tillie was painted on the Palace Amusements in 1955. The building fell into disrepair in the 1980s and demolished in 2004. The Tillie mural was saved and stored. A new version of Tillie lives on at the Wonder Bar.

Our original design launched at the end of summer 2019 and sold out immediately. We reprinted the tees, introducing women's tee and lightweight sweatshirt. Those sold through just as quickly. An instant classic.

This Greetings tee was relaunched as part of Tory Johnson's RESCUE RETAIL: Steals & Deals Saturday, May 9, 2020. Fun House and was invited to participate in this ABC Channel 7 "Flash Sale" to spotlight 24+ TriState small businesses affected by the coronavirus crisis. The event was an amazing success and we saw love and support from practically every state. This helped our cash flow enormously and we have since been able to bring back our full time employees.

The Greetings... Indigo Tee along with the Tillie version were the first t-shirts we launched. Both were an instant hit and are now classic Fun House designs.
