EXTERIOR The exterior profile of OCEAN PEARL really makes her stand out from the crowd with futuristic looking superstructure which arches in a continuous curve from bow to stern. The stern section of the superstructure hugs twin staircases which run smoothly from the sun deck, alongside the upper deck and down to the main deck. Cathedral steps at the stern create a dramatic finale down to the swim platform – the steps are echoed at the bow.

OCEAN PEARL Specifications

The sun deck offers a semi-circular sofa built into the superstructure and a row of cushioned sun pads. The upper deck aft is dedicated to al fresco dining with a large table and chairs while the main deck aft is furnished with a comfortable lounge sofa and chairs.

INTERIOR Once inside guests will be delighted to find a contemporary look and feel with a neutral colour palette punctuated with bright soft furnishings – from the pen of Foster + Partners. On the upper deck there is a relaxed bar and lounge perfect for pre-dinner drinks. A spiral staircase leads down to the main salon where huge floor to ceiling windows and doors allow light to flood in. After dark there is a cool lighting arrangement on the ceiling which is continued in the upper salon. The main salon offers a flexible lounge with multiple sofas and occasional chairs and a formal dining setting.

Five ensuite staterooms are light and bright and offer private sanctuaries for up to 12 guests. The owner’s suite is forward on the main deck and there are two doubles and two twins on the lower deck with 2 additional pullman bunks, ideal for children.

FOSTER & PARTNERS

The internal planning of the Foster & Partners yacht OCEAN PEARL offers total flexibility. Specifically, to respond to the most discerning requirements of the guests. All furnishings and fittings are provided by the Italian manufacturer Cassina.

Her build was part of a fractional yacht ownership program. Investors participate in the program.  The vessel has two identical sisterships. Moreover, they are OCEAN SAPPHIRE and OCEAN EMERALD.  All three vessels charter in the Mediterranean and Caribbean.

The luminous superyacht features floor-to-ceiling windows.  Additionally, a panoramic saloon on the upper deck.  The salon has wide, unobstructed views of the horizon. OCEAN PEARL's four staterooms are almost equal in size, making for an ideal charter configuration. If desired, the master stateroom can be modified to be a full beam cabin with ensuite study.

The salon is very generous with large windows on port and starboard sides. The wood paneling and trim is of beautiful medium dark mahogany.

The salon is accessed from the California deck and serves as a comfortable entertaining and lounging area. There is a large TV, cocktail table and comfortable seating on two couches and two armchairs. 

The formal dining area is forward of the salon with seating for ten guests. To starboard is the wet bar with sink, refrigerator, wine cooler and ice maker. Forward of the dining area is a large China cabinet with ample storage.

The country kitchen style galley is on the port side main deck between the dining area and the pilothouse.

The galley is furnished with an L-shaped settee dining area, large opening windows for natural ventilation and a door to the side deck. This area has a light open and airy feel with teak hardwood flooring. This is a natural gathering spot for friends and family.

The ensuite master head features a large tub and shower, two sinks and a separate redwood infrared sauna. It is possible to open the master into the adjacent cabin to make a full beam suite.

VIP Stateroom

The VIP queen cabin is midship to port on the lower deck. Furnishings include a queen-sized pillow top mattress, ample drawer storage and cedar lined hanging lockers. The ensuite head features a large tub enclosure with shower and vanity with a single sink.

Guest Staterooms

The guest port stateroom includes a queen-size berth with pillow top mattress and a single Pullman berth. The stateroom features ample storage and cedar-lined closets. The ensuite head features a single sink vanity and stall shower.

Captain's Quarters

The captain’s cabin is forward of the pilothouse and to port and features a double berth, ensuite head with stall shower.

There is ample seating with a helm chair and spacious settee. Port and starboard doors lead to the side decks with steps leading forward to the crew area forward and steps to the flybridge aft.

The flybridge is accessed by the spiral staircase ascending from the California deck or from the pilothouse. There are three steering stations on this deck, port and starboard sides and at the back of the deck giving great visibility in tight spaces. The 4000lb hydraulic davit is mounted centerline at the aft deck allowing maximum reach on deck and port / starboard sides.

There are two comfortable bridge settee areas. One of the settees is protected under the hardtop and the other is on the open deck.

Just aft of the bridge enclosure and hardtop is a six-person hot tub and full-service bar with icemaker, refrigerator and BBQ. There are also lockers with extra refrigeration and freezer space.

The boat deck area has removable chocks for a tender and two Wave Runners. Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards can be stored on top of the hardtop. Once all the water toys are launched, there is plenty of entertaining space on this deck.

Cockpit, California Deck and Bow

Guests typically board at the wide integrated swim step leading into the generous cockpit. There are additional boarding gates midship on port and starboard sides giving access to the wide walk around decks.

The cockpit is a well-protected area suitable for fishing, entertaining or sunbathing. The engine room door and steps to the California deck are forward as well as larger storage lockers. There are three deck hatches allowing access to the steering gear and ample storage space.

The California deck is fully protected with a removable isinglass enclosure and plexiglass doors leading to the side decks. This makes for cool weather comfort or open shaded areas in warmer temps.

A large sun-pad and cushioned bow seat make up another comfortable gathering area for whale watching, sunbathing or sleeping under the stars.

Her interior is styled by design house Mary Roberts and she was completed in 1990. This luxury vessel's exterior design is the work of Glade Johnson Design and she was last refitted in 2017.

Sailing in the Ionian Sea will give you the chance to discover the western side of Greece, with the popular Ionian islands which are very popular for their green landscape and picturesque beaches with crystal blue waters.

Depending on the base of departure, you will have the chance to sail around Corfu, Lefkas, Ithaka, Zante or Kefallonia on a one-week sailing trip. If you sail from Kefallonia or Lefkas, make sure you plan to visit the beautiful bays in Atokos, Kalamos and Kastos, Porto Katsiki with its wonderful blue waters as well as popular Fiscardo on the northern part of Kefallonia and Kioni in Ithaka. Also, you have the option to travel south and discover Zante and its beautiful beaches, with the most famous one being Navagio. .

If you sail from Corfu, Paxi –Antipaxi and Parga will amaze you with their gorgeous bays, before you head south to explore Lefkas. On a two-week trip you will have the chance to sail around all the Ionian islands.

BAREBOAT OPTION

Bareboat sailing or independent yacht charter is about hiring of a boat without the assistance of a skipper or other crew. It is the most popular choice for families or groups of friends for those who have experience and are qualified with a sailing certificate. Sailing independently means you can plan your own route and enjoy small bays and harbors inaccessible to large tourist boats or crews sailing as part of a flotilla. However, you will need to be suitably skilled and experienced to handle the size and type of yacht selected to ensure you have the best trip possible!

We will help you plan the best route for your holidays by proposing special bays and harbors to visit.

SKIPPERED OPTION

If you don’t have the necessary experience or sailing certificate, but still want to explore the Ionian islands with your own pace and preferences, then a skippered option is best for you. Our friendly skipper will encourage you to take an active part in your holiday if you desire to do so or you can simply relax and be sailed around!  You, your friends and family can get involved as much or as little as you like - it is a great activity holiday for all the family. Our skipper will have the responsibility for the boat and you will have the outmost enjoyment of a sailing trip.

If you don't have the time to rent a yacht for a week but still want to visit some of those incredible island beaches that are only accessible by boat, then our one day option is the perfect solution! You can book the boat for one-day trips around the area or a couple of days to enjoy the surrounding beaches or a quick visit to a nearby island.

Celebrating special events in a sailing boat with you loved ones makes it even more special.  If you are looking for a romantic getaway or a day at sea celebrating a special event, birthday party, honeymoon cruise or wedding anniversary, we can make it all true for you. 1: irkutsk and eisenhower.

In 1960, Irkutsk was set to be visited by President Eisenhower. The visit did not take place, due to the fact that an American spy plane was captured in the USSR airspace. However, Irkutsk had already thoroughly prepared for it. The fountain, which is still on the Kirov square, was created in preparation for the presidential visit. A paved road from Irkutsk to Lake Baikal was also constructed for the arrival, which never took place. Now tourists have a much easier time traveling in and out of the city.

2: Infrastructural conundrums

In a country the size of Russia, the infrastructure is bound to be an issue. In fact, it has been a major problem for every administration since the earliest days of the Russian Empire. In practice, that means that Irkutsk has always been a bit out of the loop. The very first asphalt roads in Irkutsk appeared in 1946, and the first small electric power plants were constructed in 1901.

3: Multicultural Irkutsk

Because of its proximity to Mongolia and China, Irkutsk has been a hub of cultural exchange. The very first Chinese shop in Irkutsk opened in 1863. The exchanged slowed down significantly when China was under Mao’s rule, and leaving the country for any purpose was nearly impossible. It picked up again under the next Chinese administration when the inhabitants of poorer Chinese provinces would come to Irkutsk to trade at the Chinese market. Now Chinese middle-class tourists are taking the entire region by storm, bringing in as much as a billion dollars each year.

4: Geographical heart of Russia

Irkutsk is roughly halfway between the easternmost parts of Russia and St. Petersburg. Many locals take pride in that, claiming that Irkutsk is the geographical heart of the country.

5: Hello from the other side

There is a city in Chile called Punta Arenas. It is the furthest city south of the 46th parallel south. It is also the antipode of Irkutsk: it is located diametrically across from it.

6: What do Irkutsk and Jules Verne have in common?

Michael Strogoff, believed by many critics to be Jules Verne’s best novel, is set in Irkutsk. It tells a story of Michael Strogoff, a courier of the Tsar, who was sent to Irkutsk, which had been seized by Tartars. His task was to warn the local governor about a traitor inside the city. On his way, he met the love of his life and got captured.

Irkutsk, the biggest city in Siberia, has been Russia’s capital of political repression for centuries. Political prisoners were sent this way to labor camps throughout the nineteenth century. Many of the forced labor camps of the GULAG system were located near to Irkutsk as well. The most famous group of political prisoners sent to exile were the leaders of the Decembrist uprising. Some of the released prisoners chose to stay in Irkutsk. As a result, a significant Polish minority settled in the region and now have become entirely naturalized.
