MSC Yacht Club provides a private paradise at sea. This all-inclusive hideaway, which includes an exclusive Butler service, reflects the elegance of cruising on a private yacht with all the facilities of the largest ships right outside your door.

MSC is well aware that, among other things, the stomach is the gateway to a guest’s heart. Therefore, MSC strive to serve the yacht club menu with exclusivity. There are four components to the MSC Yacht Club menu:

  • MSC Yacht Club Breakfast menu
  • MSC Yacht Club Lunch menus
  • MSC Yacht Club Dinner menus
  • MSC Yacht Club Drinks menu

In this post, I’ll go over each of these individually. So let’s get going.

MSC Yacht Club Breakfast Menu

The breakfast menu at the MSC Yacht Club is the same every morning, so guests may start their days with their go-to favorites. The breakfast menu includes light continental meal along with hot and freshly made dishes.

Enjoy traditional eggs benedict, indulge in a custom omelet, or choose from a range of other breakfast favorites. You can always find a satisfying breakfast to fuel your day’s activities because the MSC Yacht Club menu is consistent.

MSC Yacht Club Lunch Menus

The lunch menu of the MSC Yach Club has a dynamic array of choices in 5 different sections namely,

  • Bakery items and
  • a section called “Always Available” having Caeser Sald, Pennette Pasta and & Angus Beef Burger

Among these 5 sections, Starters and Entrée sections’ dishes change daily for surprising and delighting your palate. Food items coming under “Always Available”, Desserts and Bakery remain same.

This allows guests to relish in their favorite dishes.  The daily variations in Starters and Entrée section ensure there’s always something new to try. If you want a light salad or a hearty entrée, the MSC Yatch Club lunch options cater to your tastes and preferences.

This Cruise Life

In January, we sailed on MSC Meraviglia for a 9-night cruise. Each night, we dined at the private Top Sail Restaurant – exclusive to Yacht Club guests. Because food is such an important part of our cruise experience, we captured every dinner menu to share with you.

To make it easier to digest (see what I did there!!), we’ve split the 9 dinners into 3 separate pages, complete with photos of the food. Scroll down to see just how well we ate during the course of our cruise!

MSC Yacht Club – Night One Dinner Menu

For our first dinner in the Yacht Club Top Sail Lounge, we each enjoyed multiple starters and entrées. We both ended our meal with the Tiramisu.

MSC Yacht Club Menus (2024) with Pictures

I got the Nordic Salad and the Fire-Roasted Tomato Cream Soup as my Starters. Because I couldn’t decide on my meal, I got two: the Tortellini Stuffed with Asparagus and Mascarpone Cheese along with the Punjabi Tadka.

MSC Yacht Club – Night Two Dinner Menu

The second night in the Top Sail Lounge was the Gala Dinner (aka, Formal Night). There were so many wonderful options on the menu, and we, once again, each ordered several appetizers!

msc divina yacht club restaurant menu

I ordered the Williams Salad and Burgundy Snails (fun fact: escargot is one of my favorite starters). For my entrée, I ordered the Champagne Risotto. While I won’t rehash our Yacht Club Food Review on YouTube here, let’s just say it was one of the best dishes I had in the Yacht Club. I ended my meal with the Crepes Suzette.

MSC Yacht Club – Night Three Dinner Menu

Our third dinner in the Yacht Club’s Top Sail Lounge was no different than our previous nights; we couldn’t decide what to order! So, both Rocky and I each got several appetizers. I stuck with the risotto for my main as I enjoyed it so much the previous night and I finished off with the evening’s featured dessert.

msc divina yacht club restaurant menu

To start, I had the Cream of Argenteuil Asparagus Soup from the “Deliciously Healthy” section of the menu. Side note: I find it kind of funny that the Deliciously Healthy section is placed directly under the full Desserts menu. haha

I also enjoyed the fried Asiago Cheese Fritters (definitely not from the Deliciously Healthy section). For my main, I ordered the Truffle Risotto. Again, I don’t want to give too much away, but WOW. This was fantastic; I highly recommend. Finally, for dessert I ordered the Cherries Jubilee which was flambéed by the maître d’. Extra points for both presentation and flavor. Once again, another highly recommended dish.

MSC Divina Yacht Club

msc divina yacht club restaurant menu

The MSC Yacht Club on the MSC Divina is much like the one on the other MSC cruise ships in the Fantasia class like the MSC Splendida . It's an exclusive "ship within a ship" sanctuary, with suite accommodations, Concierge reception area, lounge, pool and bar area, plus a private restaurant and private access to the MSC Aurea Spa.

Those staying in the MSC Yacht Club can enjoy complimentary wines, spirits, and gourmet snacks in the Concierge lounge, along with Butler service in their staterooms or suites. The spectacular views of the sea from this Deck 15 Lounge also make the Yacht Club a guest favorite.

The MSC Cruises' ships with Yacht Clubs include MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Preziosa, MSC Seaside, MSC Seaview, MSC Bellissima, and MSC Splendida.

Top Sail Lounge

TripSavvy / Linda Garrison

The Top Sail Lounge in the MSC Divina Yacht Club is a quiet place to have a drink, enjoy a snack, or just appreciated the exceptional views of the sea. It is an exclusive area for those staying in the Yacht Club staterooms and suites.

Snacks in the Top Sail Lounge

Those staying in the MSC Yacht Club can enjoy nightly canapes and other snacks along with a complimentary drink in the Top Sail Lounge.

Light Bites in the Top Sail Lounge

Guests staying in the MSC Yacht Club can enjoy light bites in the Top Sail Lounge, but they also have access to a dedicated restaurant for dinner. The menus in this special restaurant are exciting and sophisticated, and unlimited drinks are included with each meal. On the MSC Divina, the dedicated Yacht Club restaurant is named La Muse, and it is located aft on deck 15.

Sophia Loren Suite Sitting Room

The Sophia Loren Suite on the MSC Divina is one of two Royal Suites on the large ship . The suite was designed by Sophia Loren and has a separate sleeping area. The decor is mostly red, and the walls are covered with photos from her movie career. The suite has a separate bedroom and measures 390 square feet with a 172 square foot balcony.

Photos of Ms. Loren in some of her famous movie roles adorn the walls of the suite, and occupants can sit at a replica of her dressing table to apply makeup and style their hair. However, sitting at this dressing table probably won't make you look like Sophia Loren, but might give you an extra boost of confidence.

Sophia Loren Suite Bedroom

Doesn't this bed look like it was designed for a famous movie star like Sophia Loren? The red certainly looks like it is fit for a diva.

Deluxe Suite Category YC1

Those staying in one of the 62 MSC Yacht Club suites on the MSC Divina can enjoy all the yacht club amenities, including 24-hour butler service. These suites measure 234-283 square feet, plus a 61 square foot balcony. They aren't as spacious or distinctive as the Sophia Loren Suite but are very nice (and less expensive).

Wheelchair Accessible Deluxe Suite

The MSC Divina has two wheelchair accessible deluxe suites in the exclusive MSC Yacht Club area. They measure 356 square feet and have a 39 square foot balcony.

Le Muse Private Restaurant

Le Muse is the private restaurant for those staying in the MSC Divina Yacht Club. This restaurant is located aft on deck 15 and features fine food and panoramic views of the sea.

A summary of the special features in the MSC Yacht Club include:

  • Unlimited drinks in all bars and restaurants of the ship
  • MSC Yacht Club Le Muse restaurant with all-inclusive dining at flexible times
  • Priority check-in and check-out in a dedicated area of the terminal
  • Exclusive Top Sail Lounge offering finger foods, desserts, afternoon and midnight snacks
  • Private MSC Yacht Club swimming pool and bar
  • Suites with Egyptian cotton linens
  • Dorelan pillow menu
  • 24-hour butler and concierge service

Family Dining Aboard the MSC Divina

By Holly Rosen Fink

I’ve long had a misconception about cruise dining. I envisioned one long buffet after another, so I was pleasantly surprised on my first cruise aboard the MSC Divina to find not only restaurants that served sit-down meals for lunch and dinner as part of our package, but also specialty restaurants that offer a change of pace from the normal cruise buffet  food.

divina

At the beginning of the cruise, I tried my best to rein in what my familyate and encouraged healthy choices. But as time progressed, I realized that as fantastical as the cruise was, so was the way we were eating for seven days of our lives and I eased up on what my kids were eating. To appease my worries, we agreed on having one sweet option a day, to lay off sugar drinks and to opt for high protein meals. Seriously, who eats like that in real life? Why not enjoy ourselves? However, I will add that for people watching their weight, MSC menus do offer alternative options so it is possible not to overeat on one of their cruises. After all, the line promotes the #MedWayOfLife and part of that is having a healthy existence.

Buffet breakfast is served from 6:30-10 am and offers just about everything you and your family could want. It was definitely the most crowded meal of the day, as it’s the only place to go in the morning for breakfast, but it’s a large room and it’s always possible to find seating with a view of the ocean by the window or take your food out to the deck for sun and the views. The buffet is open 20 hours a day for lunch, a snack or midnight feast.

Dining Room

The ship has two main dining rooms. Both have two seatings (6:30 or 9:00 pm) for dinner with assigned tables. The Villa Rossa is on deck 6 and features panoramic views of the sea and seating for 766 diners. The Black Crab Restaurant spans decks 6 and 7 and is located mid-ship. Dinner is multiple courses and served at a leisurely pace in both restaurants. The menus are varied, with an emphasis on Mediterranean and North American dishes.

dining room

We had a reserved table each night in the Villa Rossa at 6pm. Two waiters were assigned to our table, both from Indonesia and both very well mannered and attentive. The boat has a dress code in the evening -no jeans or shorts. As a mom who works and has to get food on the table regularly, it was a treat to have full sit-down meals with polite service. We always had an option of fish, meat or pasta, and always a vegetarian option, which I ordered daily an appreciated. Wine and beer was included with evening meals. The kids’ menu also offered alternatives to the typical kid’s dishes, or they could order off our menus. Since it is an Italian line, pasta dishes are many, but so were the fish, chicken and steak options. The restaurant put an emphasis on delicious desserts. On special nights, entire cakes were made and brought out as a celebration – once for Gala night (Tiramisu) and once for our last night on the ship (Baked Alaska).

food

The Divina hosts Eataly Steakhouse, a specialty restaurant, which we were happy to experience during a date night without our children. The popular Turin-based chain was founded by Oscar Farinette in 2007 and opened in the U.S. in 2010 in partnership with celebrity chefs Marion Batali and Lidia and Joe Bastianich. Eataly now has 16 locations around the world. It’s an upscale Italian culinary experience and we were treated with exceptional wine, exquisite fish and steak, the best salads on the ship and out of this world cannoli for dessert. The portions are generous and the décor is simple yet elegant. White tablecloth, white flowers, wooden floor, exposed brick walls. The bread is served in paper bags tokeep it warm with olive oil for dipping it into. The meal was just that good. Eataly serves their homemade pizza with individual toppings all day – either in the restaurant or via room service. It’s not the pizza you can get from the buffet – it’s gourmet and it’s sublime and worth the extra fee. A boutique Eataly marketplace is available for guests to purchase authentic Italian and artisan products, including olive oils, dried pastas, regional sweets and aged balsamics.

Le Muse is the private dining venue for those guests staying in the exclusive MSC Divina Yacht Club . This restaurant is on deck 15 and seats 136. We had lunch there one afternoon, seated near a glass window overlooking the Garden Pool. It’s a very sophisticated, more elegant atmosphere than the main dining rooms with more upscale choices. I won’t deny its loveliness sipping a glass of wine in peace (we did not bring our kids to this meal). Our waiter hailed from Sorrento, Italy, home of MSC and his happiness and genuine love for food was a delight.

wine

La Cantina de Bacco is a wine bar associated with Eataly and has an extensive menu produced by an association of leading Italian winemakers committed to producing high-quality wines using only sustainable farming practices. The menu offers bottles from famous wineries including Fontana Fredda and Mirafiore. The cruise offers “The Winemaker Experience” where you can create your own custom bottle of wine and purchase anywhere from 1, 2, 3, or 12 bottles of wine or simply participate in the Boutique Winery Tasting. We sat at the wine bar one afternoon and sampled a few Italian wines and a few appetizers offered free of charge with a tasting.

italian

Eating aboard the MSC was a unique Mediterranean culinary experienceand certainly a satisfying one for my entire family. There’s a gelato counter on the boat that must also not be missed. For a bit of Italy, this is the cruise for you.

Disclosure: Holly was provided with complimentary cruise fare and a special package to review the boat’s services with her family. However, all opinions are her own.

Cruising Italian-Style on the MSC Yacht Club

The MSC Yacht Club

Finding the intimacy of a yacht on a large ship

As soon as we stepped out of the taxi at the port in Barcelona to embark on our Mediterranean cruise, Vishesh, the stately head butler of the Yacht Club on the MSC Divina, greeted us warmly by name. He led us to the check-in desk inside the terminal as our bags were whisked away.

At the desk, we were offered a drink, photographed before receiving cruise identification/keycards, and introduced to our cabin butler, Edwin, who took over from there. He led us to the Yacht Club reception desk on Deck 15 of the ship. Unlike the lengthy check-in process typical on most large ships, this one took no more than ten minutes from start to finish.

Edwin introduced us to the concierge and led us to our cabin, where a complimentary bottle of chilled Prosecco was waiting, and our bags arrived simultaneously with our bodies (also unusual on large ships).

The Big Ship

Not well known to the North American market, Naples-based MSC is the only privately owned Italian cruise line. Launched in May 2012, Divina is the company’s newest in a fleet of 12 ships. Divina has two sister ships in the same Fantasia class: the MSC Fantasia and the MSC Splendida, launched in 2008 and 2009, respectively. Each of these ships offers an exclusive enclave of Yacht Club suites.

Although not a megaship, Divina would definitely be classified as a big ship. It is 333 meters (approximately three football fields) long spread over 18 decks. It can accommodate some 4000 passengers and 1300 crew, and has multiple restaurants, coffee bars, cocktail lounges, shops, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools and whirlpools. It also has a full-service spa, gym, cybercafé, 1600-seat theater with lavish nightly shows, lectures, 4D cinema, Formula 1 simulator, water slide, bowling alley, discotheques, power walking track, and more.

The dramatic mauve and black onyx décor of the ship’s six-level atrium is accented with sparkling stainless trim, cylindrical glass elevators, and solid-glass steps embedded with dazzling Swarovski crystals. The boat is kept immaculately clean throughout and looks brand new, even in areas that are in constant use. The boat was remarkably stable, too, even in bad weather.

The Ship Within

The Yacht Club, MSC Divina’s “ship within a ship,” is targeted to cruisers who prefer an intimate, small ship experience, without having to give up the amenities available on larger vessels. The experience is distinctly different from the rest of the ship: There is more space, privacy, pampering, and personal service, akin to the perks associated with a concierge floor at a five-star luxury hotel.

The Yacht Club is located on portions of three decks: Decks 15, 16 and 18, all towards the bow of the ship. (Similar to buildings in the U.S. without a 13th floor, there is no 17th floor because Italians consider the number 17 to be unlucky.) The three-floor enclave with 69 suites in total has its own eye-catching spiral stairway with Swarovski crystal steps and an exclusive elevator that provides private access to the spa. Club entry is restricted to “members,” accessible only with their keycards.

The club’s virtual living room is the spacious Top Sail Lounge and Bar on Deck 15. Furnished with curved brown banquettes and loveseats, it has a serene ambiance, which is never crowded and has unobstructed, 180-degree views of the sea. Waiters circulate offering guests hot or cold drinks or snacks. A circular concierge desk (staffed 24/7) is adjacent to the lounge.

On Deck 18, guests can swim in the private pool or use two dedicated whirlpools. Lounge chairs are always available on the sundeck, and they are more generously spaced compared to those elsewhere on the ship. The Yacht Club-dedicated La Muse Restaurant is located on Deck 15 at the ship’s stern.

While excursions, spa treatments, and transportation to and from the ship are extras, passengers aren’t nickel-and-dimed for bottled water, sodas, specialty coffees, cocktails, or wine with dinner. The premium you pay for the luxury of the Yacht Club (approximately twice the cost of a regular balcony suite) translates into more comfortable cabins, no loud announcements, no crowds at the pool or sundeck, no lines or waits, higher ratios of (better trained) crew to passengers, and hassle-free embarkation and disembarkation. For example, each butler serves only four guest cabins, not only responding to but also anticipating requests. On the rest of the ship, a steward is responsible for as many as 20. In fact, crew goes out of their way to anticipate and respond to any reasonable request.

Our Stateroom

We stayed in Cabin 15013, a deluxe suite, and the most affordable of three stateroom categories in the Yacht Club. The room wasn’t as spacious as some suites on small luxury ships but it was comfortable and didn’t feel confined because of its design and use of mirrors. Larger suites with pullout couches were available to accommodate small families.

Our room was attractively furnished with mauves, browns, and dark woods. It included a sleeping area, sitting area with a desk, walk-in closet with ample drawer space, and sliding glass doors leading to a balcony with two chairs. The in-room safe was at eye-level and easy to access.

The bathroom had a single marble-topped sink, attractive hardware, sufficient shelf and cabinet space, and a combined shower/bath with a half-glass panel that kept water in and allowed light inside. Toiletries were MSC-branded rather than luxury brands.

Housekeeping services in our cabin were flawless over the 11-day voyage. While the ship didn’t have a self-service laundromat, laundry could be sent out for washing and ironing, and returned the next day at a reasonable cost (30 pieces for 25 Euros).

Dining Options

Guests in the Yacht Club can eat all their meals within the club, totally bypassing the traditional buffet lines and main dining rooms. The Top Sail Lounge serves buffet breakfasts and lunches, traditional high tea service, and small plates accompanied by soft drinks, bottled water, wines, beers, cocktails, snacks, and excellent specialty coffees throughout the day. (At no additional charge, except for premium wines and liquors). The lounge is conveniently located only steps away from the cabins, so it is an inviting place to sit, chat, read, or listen to soft, live piano music.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served at La Muse, the peach-hued formal restaurant, which has two fixed seatings. The room is shaped in a long arc, allowing plenty of space and privacy between tables. Overall, the entrees were somewhat limited in number compared to other cruise lines. Traditional southern Italian dishes, including fresh pastas, were the most appealing and tasty choices; continental dishes were often disappointing (either overcooked or of poor quality) and not up to par with luxury cruise dining, although the wait staff was professional, engaging and solicitous.

One logistical drawback is that La Muse is located at the opposite end of the ship from the Yacht Club. This means that guests need to trek through busy (and often smoky) bars, lounges, and shops on Deck 6, or follow the narrow labyrinth of cabin-lined hallways on Deck 13 to get there. Perhaps, the boat’s architect intentionally chose this location to help passengers work off a few calories before and after dinner.

Weather permitting, a lovely, hot and cold lunch buffet with waiter service is set up daily on the Deck 18 sundeck, just steps from the pool. Drinks are also available throughout the day at the pool bar.

The minibar in each cabin is generously stocked with complimentary juices, spirits, soda, bottled water, and nuts—and a fresh fruit bowl is replenished daily. Another minor disappointment: 24-hour room service is also limited in terms of menu choices and doesn’t offer course-by-course delivery.

Personal Service

Wherever you turn, Yacht Club crew is there to greet you or extend help. The butler assigned to each stateroom makes sure the guest experience is seamless. Instead of having to call an anonymous reception desk for problems or requests, the butler is unobtrusive but always available. He can help guests unpack, connect to the Internet (which, incidentally, was the best Wi-Fi connection we’ve ever experienced on any ship), or make reservations for activities on the boat, or for excursions or transportation on shore.

On port days, the butlers accompany small groups of guests off the boat and directly to the doors of waiting vehicles so there is no confusion or long waits in the disembarkation process. Unfortunately, the small feel of the Yacht Club is totally lost and forgotten on excursions. Although well-organized and on time, tours tended to be comprised of large groups from all areas of the boat, with guides simultaneously explaining sights in more than one language.

Is the MSC Yacht Club for You?

With a predominance of European passengers on board, Divina is staffed by a multilingual, international crew fluent in five languages, English, German, Spanish, French and Italian. But the ship’s service, style, and décor are decidedly Italian: Most of the food is provisioned in Genoa; the pastas, espresso and cappuccino are heavenly; and it’s hard to resist the piece of Venchi chocolate left on your pillow each night.

In terms of age, MSC cruise passengers skew about a decade younger than many other lines. (Children, ages 11 and under, cruise free and children under the age of 17 sail at a reduced rate.) Several young couples in the Yacht Club raved about the ease of cruising with small infants, being able to retreat to the comfortable, crowd-free Top Sail lounge for a bite between meals, or being able to call a butler to warm a baby bottle. Four complimentary kids clubs (each geared toward different ages) allow multigenerational families to enjoy the solitude of the club while older children are well cared for and entertained.

For today’s value-conscious traveler, the Yacht Club offers the feeling of a luxury small ship with all the advantages of large vessel cruising. And each time you use your keycard to enter, you’re reminded that you’ve found a yacht-like sanctuary away from the density and anonymity of a large ship.

Visit the website of MSC Cruises for more information on ships, itineraries and prices.

Many luxury travelers are skeptical about taking cruise vacations. They associate cruises with mediocre, calorific buffet food; cramped, ill-designed cabins; hoards of people with lines at every turn; not being able to get off the beaten path; and being nickeled and dimed for extras. If you are cruise avoidant, a voyage on the Crystal Symphony will dispel any such misgivings.

We didn’t do the yacht club, but did enjoy our MSC on the western Med. It was fun and different because there were very few Americans, mostly Italians. Our dinner mates were two couples from Ireland. I guess they thought we spoke the language. If they were talking to us, we could understand them, but if they were talking to each, we didn’t have a clue. The funny thing was they discovered they lived about 10 miles from each other. It’s a small world.

It is a very small world, Cathy. We recently met a friend of my cousin sitting next to us in the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower!

MSC Cruises Divina Menus

Welcome to my MSC Divina Menus webpage! I tried to get as many of the menus over the course of the week. The food on MSC Divina was about average, they could certainly benefit from more variety, especially in the buffet. The menus on the main dining offer good food, but the service is a bit slow. The average meal lasts about 2 hours, that is just too much time for me for a 3-4 course meal. You can usually find much better food in the main dining room at lunch time, than at the buffet. The buffet is rather limited when it comes to seafood items, we only found popcorn shrimp in the kids section and grilled calamari on the last day.

Yacht Club DINNER Menus

Host Jazzbeau

Host Jazzbeau

Thanks to some great detective work by @Beamafar  we have been able to compile an almost complete set of the dinner menus on Meraviglia as of Oct/Nov 2019 [numbered 1-14 plus '15' for Italian Night and 'E' for the everyday menu ] – note that this is missing nos. 3 and 10.

We thought that this post would be a complete set, based on the MD's statement that these are the official menus.  But I have also collected some additional YC Dinner menus [labeled x1, x2 etc.] that (a) may fill in the missing nos. 3 and 10, but (b) also seem to include variations on the other menus (at least on other MSC ships).

I suspect that there is, as always [!], a degree of variability in MSC's operations – but these menus should at least give a good sampling of what you will find on your cruise.  And – speaking only for myself [and DW] – the food delivered in the YC restaurant lives up to the promises of these menus.  Mangia!

@Beamafar  and I have now done our part.  If you would like to contribute, please feel free to post additional menus (or variations) and 'food porn' pictures.  Just please remember that this thread is for Yacht Club DINNER menus only.  See the separate threads for Yacht Club BREAKFAST and LUNCH menus.

1,000+ Club

I appreciate all the menus that are posted.   We are considering booking the Yacht Club for a November cruise.   Not sure I like all of the selections for the lunch or dinner menus.   Is it possible to order something not on the menu if you don't like what they are offering?   Would it be better to go to a regular dining room instead?  Not sure if I should book YC if I don't eat in the special dining room most of the time?  Any suggestions welcome.

Hello. Does yacht Club menu still have the selection of items each night at dinner that do not change? Filet mignon etc.?
