F1 Grand Prix of Monaco - Qualifying

The F1 Monaco Grand Prix is going down today (Sun., May 28, 2023) at Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo (and La Condamine) and Conor McGregor has rolled up in his $3.5 million Lamborghini Tecnomar yacht to enjoy the festivities.

McGregor is just one of many celebrities in the tiny micro-state tucked into the southern coast of France ready to enjoy some high-end racing action. Other A-listers sighted thus far include Tom Holland, Orlando Bloom, Chris Rock, Neymar and Kevin Durant, among others.

McGregor is paying a premium to have his yacht tucked arse-in along the racing course so he can enjoy several seconds of race cars zooming past. His yacht is undoubtedly fancy and it very well could be the fastest in-dock (it’s called the “supercar of the sea” for a reason), but it is dwarfed by some of the other baller boats there. The biggest yacht in port is the 414-foot $285 million “Octopus” yacht owned by pharma executive, Roger Samuelsson.

Pictures of McGregor getting lit on his Proper 12 whiskey at afterparties are already floating around, as well as pics of a seemingly hungover “Notorious” sitting at his deck table eating pancakes.

But, don’t think he doesn’t know what’s what when it comes to F1. Mac was in Monaco last year, taking pictures with Haas drivers Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen.

“I am here for team Haas,” he said. “I put my confidence in the team after today’s qualifying round. The cars are exceptional and I am rooting for Haas.”

McGregor is in Monaco today for F1 pic.twitter.com/mquYvFlNp0 — Spinnin Backfist (@SpinninBackfist) May 28, 2023

Even though Haas is having a rough go at things in Monaco, it still looks like McGregor is enjoying himself. Maybe a bit too much? We imagine what Michael Chandler is up to these days and have to wonder how all this high living will affect “The Notorious” upon his eventual return to cage fighting in late 2023.

McGregor and Chandler served as coaches on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 31 , which will air on ESPN/ESPN+ this week (Tues., May 30, 2023).

Conor McGregor’s yacht dwarfed by $285m rival at F1 Monaco Grand Prix

conor mcgregor yacht monaco

As usual, the harbour in Monte Carlo was resplendent with some of the world’s most luxurious yachts as their mega-rich owners rocked up to watch the race.

Conor McGregor took his $3.5 million Lamborghini yacht to this year's Monaco Grand Prix. • 63-feet • Two-bedrooms • 4,000 horsepower • 70-mph top speed The yacht is 1 of only 63 made, and McGregor received #12 in honor of his Proper 12 whiskey. pic.twitter.com/wmA0YDKoYZ — Joe Pompliano (@JoePompliano) May 27, 2023

McGregor, the braggadocious UFC fighter known for flaunting his money, arrived in Monaco on his Lamborghini yacht worth $3.5m.

It boasts two bedroom, it’s 63 feet in length, has 4,000 horsepower and a top speed of 70mph.

Not bad, huh?

Well, actually, McGregor’s yacht is tiny and cheap in comparison to the best transport that arrived in Monaco for the grand prix.

The most expensive yacht to be docked in Monaco this weekend was worth a mighty $285m.

The biggest yacht at this year's Monaco Grand Prix (so far) is Octopus. • $285 million • 414-feet • Sleeps 26 guests & 63 crew • 2 helipads, basketball court, movie theater & pool It can cruise 9,000 miles before needing to refuel & its weekly rental rate is $2.4 million. pic.twitter.com/f01QNgrrh1 — Joe Pompliano (@JoePompliano) May 25, 2023

Nicknamed ‘The Octopus’, it was originally built for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. When he died, it was bought by Swedish entrepreneur Roger Samuelsson.

It sleeps 26 guests and 63 crew, it has two helipads (yes, two!), a basketball court and a swimming pool.

Good news, though - you can rent it for a week! And it will cost a mere $2.4m for seven days.

Slightly more in McGregor’s price range…

Conor McGregor Enjoyed The Monaco Grand Prix From His $5.5 Million Lamborghini Yacht

Conor McGregor Enjoyed The Monaco Grand Prix From His $5.5 Million Lamborghini Yacht

Garry Lu

The famed Port Hercules certainly lived up to its reputation during this year’s dramatic Monaco Grand Prix, but while eyes and cameras alike were fixed on a certain superyacht flaunting its deep-pocketed owner’s Ferrari F40 right on the deck, our attention was captivated by noted Haas supporter Conor McGregor.

In true McGregor fashion, the former two-division UFC champion parked up in his US$3.6 million (AU$5.5 million) Lamborghini Tecnomar 63, dubbed the “Supercar of the Sea,” which he’d taken delivery on back in 2021, shortly after his leg-shattering loss against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.

It’s not the fight prep we were expecting, although it’s good to know his sea legs are working just fine.

With an exterior that emulates the 1960/1970s era Lamborghini Miura and Lamborghini Countach, the Tecnomar also draws inspiration from the Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 hybrid hypercar.

As for the interior, it’s what the revered automaker themselves have described as a “high-tech design based on super-performing materials for weight and function” – showcasing Lamborghini’s iconic clean lines, hexagonal shapes, Y-motif, and fully-customisable colours.

The 2023 Monaco Grand Prix attended by Conor McGregor, as well as an entire litany of high-profile names ranging from Tom Holland to Orlando Bloom, resulted in yet another dominant victory for Red Bull Racing’s reigning two-time world champion Max Verstappen, punctuating a sensational weekend at the storied principality.

Verstappen was followed by grid veteran and fellow two-time champ Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) in P2 and Alonso’s ex-teammate Esteban Ocon (Alpine) in P3.

As for when McGregor himself is due to compete again, while a specific pay-per-view card has yet to be announced , the Notorious one is expected to face Bellator transplant Michael Chandler before the year’s end, having coached opposing teams in the soon-to-be-aired Ultimate Fighter season 31 .

Conor McGregor, the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, stands out as the only MMA fighter among the world’s wealthiest athletes, owing to his MMA accomplishments and enormous income. As a result, ‘The Notorious’ lives a flashy lifestyle, frequently displaying his rich living on social media platforms. The F1 Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo was one such occasion, as the UFC superstar proudly showed his lavish Lamborghini yacht.

McGregor’s attempt to display his lavish sailing vessel, however, fell short, since it paled in contrast to a mammoth boat owned by a millionaire that was visibly parked at the harbor.

In 2020, ‘The Notorious’ purchased the 63-foot-long Lamborghini Tecnomar 63. The boat dubbed the “Supercar of the Sea,” is worth more than $3.5 million . It is one of just 63 manufactured, and McGregor was assigned the number 12 in honor of his Proper 12 whisky.

The two-bedroom luxury boat has 4,000 horsepower and a peak speed of 70 mph. Despite this, the Lamborghini boat appeared to be a bargain in comparison to the best transportation that landed in Monaco for the race.

The largest boat in this year’s Monaco Grand Prix, dubbed “The Octopus,” was reportedly owned by Swedish industrialist Roger Samuelsson. The 414-foot yacht can accommodate 63 crew members and 23 guests.

‘The Octopus,’ which is worth roughly $285 million, includes two helipads, a basketball court, a movie theatre, and a pool. It can go 9,000 miles before requiring refueling and has a weekly leasing charge of $2.4 million.

Conor McGregor’s next fight

Fans are eagerly awaiting Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated comeback to the Octagon since he recovered from a horrific leg break during his trilogy battle with Dustin Poirier in 2021.

Interestingly, the Irish superstar has recovered. And it has been revealed that he will headline a pay-per-view event against Michael Chandler in late 2023. While the UFC has yet to announce exact specifics like as the date, location, and weight class, the potential of McGregor’s return feeds enthusiasm in the MMA world.

McGregor’s upcoming battle promises to be an interesting spectacle that will definitely grab global attention, as his opponent possesses a similar fighting style and personality. Fans are looking forward to hearing more about this highly anticipated encounter between two powerful fighters in the coming future.

However, no date, venue, or weight has been confirmed for McGregor's fight with Chandler. McGregor is also expected to do six months' worth of United States Anti-Doping tests before being cleared to fight.

Conor McGregor and his family pulled in to Monaco for the Formula 1 Grand Prix in quite some style - as they arrived on his €3m Lamborghini yacht.

Always a highlight of the motorsport calendar , this year's edition takes place on Sunday with McGregor describing it as 'a dream' of his to one day be there in person.

He wrote: "Pulling into Monaco for the @f1 Grand Prix! A dream come true for me."

In the accompanying photos, Conor, fiancée Dee Devlin and two of their children are seen frolicking around on its huge lounging space.

They turned quite a few heads as onlookers both on the shore and nearby boats can be heard shouting out his name.

All in all it's about as blissful a scene as one can imagine as the whole McGregor clan continue to lap it up in their French adventure.

They'd initially been based around Saint-Tropez where they celebrated Conor Junior and Rían's fifth and first birthdays.

Then Conor and Dee headed off to Cannes to attend its world-famous film festival - where they schmoozed with pop royalty Kylie Minogue no less.

The Crumlin fighter will in all likelihood be rubbing shoulders with some other famous faces over the weekend with how this race in particular always attracts the good and the great.

As for the race itself, home driver Charles Leclerc will be hoping to improve on his previous record, which has led to whisperings that he is ‘cursed’ when it comes to his native race.

With an 18th place, two ‘did not finish’ and one race cancelled due to a global pandemic, Leclerc will be hoping that this is the year to turn the tide at this famous circuit.

Once so famously dominated by Ayrton Senna, Monte Carlo drips with history, now perfectly poised for drama after the championship lead changed hands at the Spanish GP last weekend.

The race is due to get underway at 2pm Irish time (3pm in Monte Carlo). Build up is expected to begin at 12:30 pm, including the glamorous grid walk.

All the action for the weekend of racing will be provided by Sky Sports.

Conor McGregor's antics at Monaco GP—entertaining or just plain embarrassing for the UFC star?

Conor McGregor is already notorious for his antics inside and outside the octagon even though he is a legendary star in the UFC promotion . A few days ago, he faced a strong jibe from Ali Abdelaziz who mocked his recent claim of standing as a presidential candidate for Ireland. Now the veteran manager targeted ‘The Notorious’ on X and said “@TheNotoriousMMA, tell the people why you got kicked out of Monaco and why the real reason you’re not fighting.” Does the Monaco thing ring any bells?

Do you remember McGregor once went to the Monaco Grand Prix in 2023? If not then let us jog our memories, shall we? So, ‘ The Notorious’ has gone to the Monaco Grand Prix two years in a row. The first time he docked his multi-million dollar Lamborghini Yacht sent fans into a frenzy. The next time he increased that frenzy by buying something extravagant. On top of that, something else happened in the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix which made him the spotlight.

The 36-year-old did not disappoint the fans when it came to this, at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix.  On 28th May 2023, Formula One reached Monaco for an amazing race at the Circuit de Monaco. Many celebrities were in attendance including Tom Holland, Neymar, Orlando Bloom, Maria Sharapova, and Conor McGregor. All the fans were vying for their idols while the UFC fans were searching for McGregor.

Very soon a video surfaced of the former dualweight champion enjoying himself in Monaco as he was dancing throughout the venue. On top of that, he gave a grand entrance which was nothing short of royal when he came down from his luxurious yacht and appeared to support  Haas F1 on Saturday. ‘ The Notorious’  was watching the event from the deck of his jaw-dropping $3.5 million Lamborghini yacht. This isn’t just a normal boat; it’s a buoyant piece of wealth and luxury. With two plush bedrooms, 4,000 horsepower, and a huge speed of 70 miles per hour, it’s practically a mobile palace on water.

“It’s great to be here, I enjoyed this qualifying round…it’s great to be here at my first Grand Prix in Monaco. I’m honored. I’m here supporting Team Haas. It’s all to play for, there’s been a crash between the top two. Our car I believe is freshest…There’s a storm brewing and we’re excited about tomorrow. Let’s go, Team Haas,” McGregor said in an interview on the yacht. The crash that he referred to was between  Sergio Pérez of Red Bull and Carlos Sainz of Ferrari.

2023 was going to be a significant year for him because he was also supposed to start training for his return to the Octagon next year, after recovering from his surgery on the leg. Not only were the fans worried about this but they were also concerned after watching his odd reaction during the event in 2023.

What’s your perspective on:

Fans left worried as ‘ the notorious’ acts differently at the 2023 mocano gp..

The champion had left fans concerned after a video footage of him surfaced where his physique did not look like a UFC fighter’s . The former dual weight champion had insisted to his fans that he was gearing up for the return to the Octagon against Michael Chandler . However, at face value, it seemed like he was far away from the gym. In one particular video, he was seen dancing and enjoying the festivities which left many fans a little worried . According to the UFC buffs his physique was not up to the mark.

After this incident, it’s almost a year and McGregor was vying for his chance to return in December 2024. Luckily there has been an update from Dana White , and McGregor might fight in the first half of 2025. On top of that he shocked the fans again but this time by saying that he would not maintain the two-year-old tradition of going to the Monaco Grand Prix.

Why did Conor McGregor not attend the 2024 Mocano GP?

‘ T he Notorious’ was recently featured in a live stream by ‘ Duelbits ’ where he was earning some green bills while giving surprising news to the fighting community. One of those surprises was that he was not going to the Formula One race track in Monte Carlo on his superyacht in 2024. He was busy training for UFC 303 and his training camp would be clashing with the event date.

McGregor replied, “ Not this year. Not this season, I’m afraid. I had a great time last year. We won’t be going this season because we are in training camp.” He also revealed that his $3.2 million Lamborghini Yacht was in Majorca, a marvelous island in Spain. He also declared that he would be going to Las Vegas in two weeks. McGregor looked disappointed that he had to cancel his appearance but seemed excited for UFC 303. Little did he know that he was going to lose this chance in the Octagon again due to another injury.

For 2 consecutive years, he was seen attending the grand event and he even got slammed by the fans the second time. But this time the fighter had heard enough and he admitted that he was under intense training for the fight at UFC 303. Ultimately, he could not participate in this event as well due to a toe injury. Do you think given the circumstances he should have gone to the event?

UFC: Conor McGregor Got ‘Kicked out Of Monaco’ Which Curbs His MMA Return, Team Khabib Makes A Major Claim

I t seems Conor McGregor’s latest drama involves more than just octagon clashes. According to a recent rumor, ‘The Notorious’ got kicked out of Monaco, and this hiccup might be affecting his return to MMA. Amid all this, Ali Abdelaziz, manager to Khabib Nurmagomedov, threw some fuel on the fire.

Abdelaziz didn’t hold back on social media. He bluntly asked McGregor to spill the beans about why he got the boot from Monaco and why he has been missing from the fight scene.

“@TheNotoriousMMA tell the people why you got kicked out of Monaco and why the real reason you’re not fighting,” wrote Abdelaziz via X.

Now, Monaco is a glitzy, high-rolling hotspot. It’s where the rich and famous go to feel even richer and more famous. So, it naturally sparks curiosity when rumors swirl about someone like McGregor getting kicked out.

Interestingly, McGregor did not attend this year’s Monaco Grand Prix. He had cited his then-scheduled fight against Michael Chandler as his sole focus. But this creates intrigue among fans who may put these two together. As of now, this is only speculation. What’s the story behind this Monaco exit? Is it as scandalous as it sounds, or just another bump in McGregor’s turbulent journey? Nobody knows.

Conor McGregor Enjoys The 2023 Monaco Grand Prix From His Luxury Yacht

If you’ve ever wondered how the rich and famous enjoy their weekends, look no further than McGregor’s escapades at the 2023 Monaco Grand Prix. The high-octane event drew a crowd of A-list celebrities, but McGregor’s setup was in a league of its own.

“ The Notorious ‘ was watching the event from the deck of his jaw-dropping $3.5 million Lamborghini yacht. This isn’t just any boat; it’s a floating piece of luxury. With two plush bedrooms, 4,000 horsepower, and a top speed of 70 miles per hour, it’s practically a high-speed palace on water.

McGregor’s yacht wasn’t just parked near the racetrack and perfectly positioned for prime viewing of the Monaco GP. The yacht’s sleek design and high-tech features made it the ultimate vantage point for watching the thrilling race. That definitely was a weekend to remember!

Taking to Instagram, Conor could be seen as he prepared to dock the lavish boat as he penned: "Pulling into Monaco for the F1 Grand Prix! A dream come true for me."

It is reported that during the Monaco Grand Prix, mooring rates can skyrocket to over $100,000 for a five-day stay in the ports prime locations.

McGregor sported a floral Versace shirt as he linked up with some of the sports biggest stars.

McGregor was pictured with fellow Irish millionaire Eddie Jordan as well as Haas driver Mick Schumacher, son of the seven-time champion Michael Schumacher.

Haas also shared short videos of McGregor's visit, in which the UFC ace proclaims: "Winners right here...number one right here...Mick Schumacher, Kevin Magnussen! Lets go, lads!"

He was also given a tour of the garage, and oversaw the preparation of the car.

McGregor spoke to Sky Sports ahead of the race and said: "After today's qualifying round our cars are exceptional. I believe there was a crash that damaged the two top team's cars.

"I believe there is something special brewing and it's for Haas, I'm rooting for Haas."

His new yacht, the Prestige 750 combines French savoir-faire, cutting-edge technology, Italian aesthetics and unique design features. The Garroni design cabinet and Prestige design department have conceived a 75-foot motor yacht that upends traditional design codes, offering an outstanding level of comfort and a contemporary design.

This motor yacht has been designed to fully enjoy being at sea, whether on open waters or at anchor, with multiple living spaces on deck, including a vast cockpit and an immense terrace on the flybridge. Bathed in light, the forward owner’s cabin is a quiet, intimate living space with a private access, a large walk-in closet, a wide desk, an independent head and shower compartment.

New renderings of 70-meter superyacht project She by CRN

Italian shipbuilder CRN has recently announced a contract to build a 70-meter superyacht, created by a Rome-based design and naval architecture firm Valicelli Design. The concept was named SHE and she will be five-decked fully-customized superyacht built from steel and aluminum.

Her exterior boats slender profile and linear styling with a horizontal line from the bow that extends along the hull and around the transom.

CRN’s chief commercial officer, Stefano De Vivo, added: “She is a new design of considerable potential, defined by her flexibility, sophistication of line and generous interior and exterior spaces devised by Vallicelli Design in what is proving a highly satisfactory partnership”.

74-meter superyacht Elandess won 4 awards

74-meter superyacht  Elandess , built by Abeking & Rasmussen in 2018, is four times winner at the 2019 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards that was held in Cortina d’Ampezzo yesterday.  The judges dedicated the famous Neptune Statue in the following categories: “Best Exterior Styling Motor Yachts 60m and above”, “Best Interior Design Motor Yachts 500 GT and above”, “Best General Arrangement & Deck Design”, “Best Lifestyle Feature Design”.

The brief was for a modern and spacious yacht with large lounging areas for enjoying both informal family time and entertaining on social occasions. Consequently,  Elandess  offers a plethora of spectacular communal spaces, ranging from the Neptune Lounge below the waterline to the 8m x 2.5m swimming pool on the very expansive sun deck. Remarkably, the yacht’s contemporary and sporty exterior profile belies her wide open plan spaces and flexible living areas which feature large floor-to ceiling panoramic windows.

Oprah Winfrey on $300 million 138-meter superyacht Rising Sun

Oprah Winfrey has been spotted on David Geffen’s $300 million 138-meter superyacht  Rising Sun  in St Barts, celebrating her 65th birthday.

Rising Sun  was built for Larry Ellison – Oracle founder, but Ellison decided that he needed a smaller boat and ordered 88-meter  Musashi  for himself. There is some similarity between this two superyachts, from the point of the exterior design.

Rising Sun  was built by Lurssen in 2004, with the design of Jon Bannenberg. David Geffen, a billionaire with a net worth of $6 billion,  co-owned Rising Sun along with Larry Ellison from 2004, before he bought it in 2010. Being one of the largest yachts in the world,  it costed $200 million to build  Rising Sun , according to some reports.

New 25-meter concept in catamaran design

Amasea Yachts is a relatively new brand in yachting which presents new way to create traditional catamaran design. They build three-decked catamarans, instead of conventional two, from aluminium instead of fibreglass. She will be able to cross the Atlantic without any extra refuelling; ideal for long range exploration, she boasts sufficient dry and cold storage to remain at sea for up to 6 weeks without re-provisioning.

The first model is 25-metre, with exterior design and naval architecture by Dr. Albert Nazarov, who is a huge specialist in high-speed catamarans. Production is meant to be limited and exclusive, with a high level of customization, so the clients will be able to choose their preferable interior designer and choose among high quality materials for outfitting and for the whole construction. The idea is that the yachts will be finished at a shipyard in Italy or the Netherlands.

Amasea 84 will have an extra deck, so crew will have their own dedicated service area.  Having 3 decks instead of 2 introduces much more flexibility in terms of layout. The master suite, for example, can be on the main or lower deck and the yacht is designed with two galleys: one for guest use and a smaller one for the crew.

For the production, Amasea Yachts is setting up its own shipyard in Turkey. There, the hull and superstructure in 5083 aluminum alloy will be built. The hull will be specially reinforced for world cruising in high latitudes.

The first 25m unit will be completed in 18-20 months to complete. The subsequent build

times will be 13-16 months with a maximum production of 7 units per year, which means that the units will be highly-customized and exclusive.

Unseen footage of Conor McGregor at Monaco Grand Prix emerges

Unseen footage of Conor McGregor at Monaco Grand Prix emerges

Mcgregor was at the monaco grand prix and enjoyed some of the race weekend from a yacht where his skills were noticed..

Ryan Sidle

Footage of Conor McGregor at the Monaco Grand Prix from his 'neighbour' in the harbour has emerged and he looks to still have fighting on his mind.

You never know which celebrity is going to rock up at Monaco for Formula One's annual visit to the French principality but you're sure they'll be plenty of them.

On Sunday, UFC star McGregor was probably the most recognisable face amongst the crowds as he was in attendance to see Max Verstappen win pretty easily.

Fans were worried after seeing him because they though his appearance but in jeopardy the chance of him fighting and beating Michael Chandler any time soon.

Now more footage of the Irishman during his time at the Grand Prix weekend has emerged from the person who was on the yacht next to him, and it shows the MMA star shadow boxing.

The UFC's first ever dual weight champion has been out of action for nearly two years after breaking his leg in his third fight with Dustin Poirier.

There was a lot of hope that he'd be back in the octagon this summer and Chandler has long been expected to be his next opponent.

As of yet there is no confirmation for a date or venue that the pair could meet but they are both mentors on the latest Ultimate Fighter series.

The 31st season of the UFC's reality show, which pits two teams of fighters against each other, kicked off earlier this week and the two coaches were seen getting in a heated exchange in the trailer.

Hopefully McGregor's partying and enjoying the F1 won't actually get in the way of facing his rival, in what has the potential to be an absolute slobberknocker.

McGregor, as well as other celebrities which included 'Spaniard' Thibaut Courtois , and the rest of the fans were surprised by a bit of rain during the race on Sunday.

It added to the drama of a race that has often been criticised in recent years for the lack of overtaking and has usually needed some sort of mistake to make it interesting.

Verstappen was able to keep his lead from start to finish after being helped by Aston Martin's gamble to switch Fernando Alonso's tyres just before the rain came.

The only bad part of the weekend for the reigning world champions was during Saturday's qualifying when Sergio Perez's crash led to the floor of their car being exposed for their rivals to learn from.
