Antigua may be a small island with only 108 square miles, but it is one of the best islands in the Caribbean for luxury all-inclusive resorts. Whether you dream of a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or an indulgent private island retreat, Antigua's all-inclusive resorts deliver.

Our picks of the best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua combine Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards winners, It List properties, and editor-loved favorites. They have been selected for their stunning design, excellent service, location, restaurants, and amenities. Discover our picks for the best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua.

Why I’m the Expert

Meagan Drillinger is a travel writer who has visited hundreds of all-inclusive resorts around the world. She values an all-inclusive resort with fantastic food, beautiful scenery, quiet spaces, and many activities that travelers can choose from. These resorts offer a blend of all of those qualities.

Curtain Bluff

Jonathan Murphy / Courtesy of Curtain Bluff

Also available to book at Expedia.com

An abundance of things to do means you’ll be recharged and stimulated without leaving the resort.

Rooms do not have televisions, but this is a plus for some.

Curtain Bluff wows travelers with its two private beaches, delicious restaurants, and intimate wine cellar, which features vintages from around the world. However, what keeps its repeat guest rate at more than 65 percent is the tradition and resort history that has been beloved since the luxe resort opened its doors in 1962.

After a glamorous multi-million dollar makeover in 2023, including a swanky new wellness center and an adults-only pool, the resort continues to top the list of best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua. Maybe that's why it has been a World's Best Award-winner in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Each of its 72 rooms comes with its own front-row seat to the ocean, and the resort offers an impressive variety of water sports and land activities that are included in the price of your stay.

The Details:

  • Distance to airport: 13.5 miles
  • Adult-Only or Family-Friendly: Family-friendly
  • Restaurant reservations required: Yes
  • Wi-Fi: Included
  • Starting rates: $1,200/night

Galley Bay Resort & Spa

The secluded resort sits on 56 acres with a tranquil lagoon and bird sanctuary.

Ismay’s Restaurant & Bar requires an extra charge and reservations.

The adults-only Galley Bay Resort & Spa sits on 56 acres of Antiguan white-sand beach. The resort features 98 beachy rooms and suites, some with the added perk of private plunge pools. The beach is one of the main draws to the all-inclusive resort, with its sparkling white sand and the glass-like turquoise waters of Galley Bay. It’s no wonder it won a World’s Best Award in 2022.

Guests can also dip in the freeform outdoor pool or wander around the lagoon and admire the bird sanctuary. Galley Bay has four restaurants to choose from, as well as a spa and a lengthy list of water and land activities.

  • Distance to airport: 9 miles
  • Adult-Only or Family-Friendly: Adults-only
  • Restaurant reservations required: Only at Ismay’s Restaurant & Bar
  • Starting rates: $950/night

Hermitage Bay

Also available to book at Tripadvisor.com

The resort has 140 acres, a large infinity pool, and panoramic sea views.

Room service and certain premium drinks are offered at an additional cost.

Overlooking the quiet, dreamy blues of the Caribbean Sea, Hermitage Bay features a collection of beachfront cottages and suites with luxe amenities like private plunge pools, open-air showers, and expansive terraces. The resort's dining experience is exceptional, focusing on local ingredients. Guests can enjoy various activities, from rejuvenating spa treatments to yoga classes and non-motorized water sports. Hermitage Bay nabbed a spot on the World's Best Awards list in 2021.

  • Distance to airport: 10.5 miles
  • Starting rates: $1,846/night

Jumby Bay Island

There is an endless list of inclusions, like Taittinger Champagne, boat trips, and cooking demonstrations. Plus, all three room categories have sea views and outdoor showers.

Prices are among the highest in the Caribbean.

Nothing exudes luxury more than a private island retreat. The 300-acre private island paradise of Jumby Bay Island is nothing short of supreme Antiguan luxury. That’s likely why the resort has earned spots on the World’s Best Awards lists from 2021 to 2024. The island, only accessible by boat, offers 28 suites and 14 villas, ranging from one-bedroom retreats to four-bedroom havens.

Twenty-two residences, including a nine-bedroom estate with a tennis court and private dock, add to the grandeur. Guests are treated to seven restaurants and bars, three pools, a spa, and multiple white-sand beaches. The all-inclusive experience covers all meals and most activities, including rum tastings and sailing excursions.

  • Distance to airport: 2 miles
  • Restaurant reservations required: No
  • Starting rates: $2,100/night

Carlisle Bay

All suites at the beachfront resort feature living areas, furnished terraces, and sea views.

All restaurants require reservations.

Cushioned between turquoise water and mountainous jungle, Carlisle Bay in Antigua is an idyllic beachfront retreat. Each of the 87 suites is designed to include spacious living areas and stunning sea views — and that's just the beginning. Choose from four different restaurants or unwind at the luxurious CARA Spa. Non-motorized water sports and tennis are included in the rate. Families are well-catered to with a dedicated kids' club, while the resort's private yacht, available for charter, adds another level of exclusivity.

  • Distance to airport: 12.8 miles
  • Starting rates: $793/night

CocoBay Resort

A dramatic cliff-top location sets the scene for upscale suites and three white-sand beaches.

Not all restaurants or menu items are included in the all-inclusive rate.

The adults-only CocoBay Resort has one of the most dramatic settings in Antigua. Perched on a cliff overlooking Valley Church Bay, the resort's 65 rooms give off rustic-chic vibes with weathered driftwood wood, pastel hues, Adirondack chairs, and hammocks. Select rooms have private pools or outdoor tubs. Two restaurants are included in the room rate, while a third clifftop restaurant is available for an extra charge. CocoBay's stunning amenities include four infinity pools, three beaches, and an open-air wellness cottage.

  • Distance to airport: 11.4 miles
  • Starting rates: $336/night

Royalton Antigua, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Courtesy of Royalton Antigua

The resort features six stunning overwater bungalows, the first of their kind in Antigua.

You’ll need to upgrade to the Diamond Club for extra benefits, like preferential room locations, priority restaurant reservations, and top-tier spirits.

Royalton Antigua, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, is impressive enough with its sugary beach and ocean views — but what puts it on our list of best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua are the six dreamy Chairman's Overwater Bungalows.

These exclusive bungalows hover above the turquoise sea, bringing a Maldivian honeymoon vibe to the Caribbean. Each bungalow has direct water access, private decks, and an enhanced list of amenities like private transfers from the airport, infinity plunge pools, Bvlgari bath amenities, complimentary romantic dinner served in the bungalow, a one-hour sunset mixologist service on the terrace, and personal yoga and fitness instruction.

  • Distance to airport: 8 miles
  • Starting rates: $373/night

Hammock Cove Resort & Spa

This adults-only resort has three tiered infinity pools, private beach access, and sommelier-led wine tastings.

The restaurants cannot cater to specific dietary needs, such as vegan, gluten-free, or allergen-free.

The adults-only Hammock Cove Resort & Spa is a beachfront escape along the northeastern coast of Antigua overlooking Devil's Bridge National Park. Forty-one chic villas featuring private plunge pools and open-air showers kick off the list of attractive amenities. The list of attributes continues with a beautiful white-sand beach and a three-tiered infinity pool. Relax with a meal with a view or a summery cocktail at any of the six restaurants and bars, or get out on the water with unlimited water sports. The Tranquility Body & Soul Spa features cold plunge pools, a sauna, and a 1,000-square-foot fitness center.

  • Distance to airport: 13.7 miles
  • Starting rates: $1,300/night

Know Before You Go

Beware of hurricane season..

Traditionally, the most popular time to visit Antigua is between December and April, the dry season. Most travelers are advised to avoid the time between August and October, which is hurricane season. Prices may be lower during this time, but always book travel insurance just in case.

Antigua is not Antigua.

Antigua, the Caribbean island, is not the same as Antigua, the beautiful historic city in Guatemala. Make sure you know which Antigua you're researching.

Read the fine print.

Even though a resort advertises itself as all-inclusive, some things are actually included. Check to see what the all-inclusive package entails, whether it's a limit on alcohol brands or menu items, spa treatments, or activities.

How We Chose These Hotels

Antigua is blessed with quite a few resorts for such a small island. The best all-inclusive resorts in Antigua were selected based on their top ratings and expert recommendations, as well as their priority on design, cuisine, room amenities, and resort offerings. Meagan Drillinger has visited hundreds of all-inclusive resorts during her 15-year career. She used her personal experiences and those ranked on Travel + Leisure 's World's Best Awards to narrow the list. These resorts adhere to our T+L Hotel Values .

Oyster hotel review, marina property vocative of a tropical villa retreat, with lush gardens and draped in nautical views .

This resort straddles two sides of a quiet, narrow public road with the marina and yacht club on the water side and rooms on the other. Rooms offer great views of Falmouth Harbour and the vessels (mostly impressive yachts) moored there. From the get-go, the resort feels more Balinese than Caribbean, with tropical villa-style residences scattered among lush gardens ascending the hill. The facade is dressed in subdued beige and white with wood accents, setting off the resort’s landscaping and dramatic harbor views. The panorama is mesmerizing, especially from the higher rooms and even more so at sunset.

Inside the reception, sturdy Indonesian-inspired timber pieces complement huge nature and marine life photos on neutral walls. There’s a long, solid-wood sofa with kelp-green cushions, a natural-wood check-in desk with a marble countertop, and a handsome work desk under a tiki empire lamp in the corner. The reception is gateway to the hotel wing, where two levels of rooms surround an open-air courtyard finished with palm trees and a gazebo. Meanwhile villa-style Studios and Suites are located up the hill with a windy driveway and lush tropical bougainvillea gardens all around.

Other than the golf carts buzzing up and down delivering guests to their units, the ambience is calm, making it a popular choice for visiting yacht-owners who want a place to stay while they moor their vessel's at one of the property's 105 slips.

In Falmouth Harbour, close to Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour, beaches, and restaurants

Antigua Yacht Club Marina Resort is set on both sides of a calm road in Falmouth Harbour, with plenty of highlights within walking (or short driving) distance. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, including waterfront venues right across the road. It’s an 11-minute walk from Admiral House and Nelson’s Dockyard -- a treasure trove for history buffs, where gift shops, restaurants, a hotel, and other businesses populate 18th-century stone buildings steeped in naval heritage. It’s nine minutes on foot to Pigeon Beach and 17 minutes to Fort Berkeley. It’s 35 minutes by car to VC Bird International Airport.

Indonesian island-inspired units, many with apartment-like layouts, kitchens, and large terraces

The resort comprises 30 Executive Suites and Studio Residences (in king or double configurations), and 19 Hotel Rooms. Rooms are located off the lobby, while other configurations are housed in villas that unfold up a steep, winding hill, with on-demand golf carts ready to take guests to and from rooms. For the best part, units are in excellent condition -- impeccably clean and new-feeling apart from the odd glimpse of wear and tear. Residences (which unfold over two floors) and Studios have particularly spacious layouts, with huge, all-weather terraces equipped with sturdy wooden lounge chairs and dining areas. Units are decked out in Indonesian-inspired wooden furniture, with more wood in the plank ceilings, slatted closets, window shutters, and French doors. Neutral floor tiles and walls, with crisp white beds, and sheer white curtains add a bit of contrast, livened up by rich pops of color in the form of monochromatic cushions on beds and the occasional piece of island artwork. All rooms feature minibars, air-conditioning, safes, flat-screen TVs, and DVD/CD players. Studios feature grand four-poster beds and full kitchens, and Executive Suites unfold over two levels, like luxurious townhouses with living and dining areas, open-plan kitchens, lower-level bedrooms (with platform beds), and terraces on both levels. Bathrooms are luxurious and large, with huge mirrors over granite-top wood vanities, large walk-in showers, hairdryers, and basic individual toiletries. The higher the room, the more spectacular the view -- best enjoyed by Suites and Executive Residences up the top of the hill.

A 105-slip, full service marina, modern gym, spa, free Wi-Fi, and on-site golf buggy shuttle

The resort's marina has 105 full service slips (all with water and electricity), as well as simple dockage. There’s no on-site restaurant, just a self-serve water, tea, and coffee station. However, the yacht club directly across the road has a restaurant and two cafes overlooking the water. There’s also a travel agent, a bookstore, a liquor store, and a mini-market. The resort's fitness center (also just across the street) is decked out with an impressive selection of modern cardio and weight-training equipment. Indigo Spa offers a good array of scrubs, massages, facials, and body treatments. An on-demand golf buggy transports guests to and from reception to overcome the steep climb up the hill. Free Wi-Fi is provided throughout the property

Air Conditioner

Airport transportation, babysitting services, balcony / terrace / patio, business center, full kitchen, kids allowed, meeting / conference rooms, mini bar (with liquor), poolside drink service, separate bedroom / living room space, swim-up bar, tennis court.

Ports of Entry

eglishharbour

A clear navigation channel must be maintained in English Harbour from Fort Berkeley to the inner harbour.  Yachtsmen are requested not to obstruct the free passage of vessels to and from the inner harbour.  All yachts at anchor in English Harbour must pay local harbour fees.  Rates available from the Paymaster’s Office.  Stern-to the quay there is 14 feet of water from the Paymaster’s Office to the Galley Bar.  Be certain to drop anchor almost to Antigua Slipway or the mangroves.  Where possible, all yachts should use the mooring buoys for additional security when going stern-to but not rely upon them solely and should not be used without an anchor.

There is a trough in the harbour and holding can be poor, especially in bad weather.  Depth from the Galley Bar to the west end of the quay is 14 feet shoaling to 8 feet.  Vessels, especially large power craft, are requested not to use their engines in the vicinity of the quay as the wash from propellers could damage the recently restored historic wall.  Please use your anchors to pull the vessel well away from the quayside.

There are four hurricane chains in English Harbour which were laid by the British navy during the development of the Dockyard in the 18th Century.  Their purpose was to give incoming vessels a fixed mooring to catch and stop the boat.  There are two chains between Antigua Slipway and shore point.  One runs from the Slipway west for approximately 160 yards to an anchor on the beach.  The other goes from the Slipway mangroves north for 80 yards to a small clearing in the mangroves.  A third, in Tank Bay,  runs  from the Clarence House jetty, which now houses the new Coast Guard station, to the Powder Magazine’s dock.  It also has large boat mooring identifying its location.  The fourth is in Freeman’s Bay, running from the large anchor on Galleon Beach to Fort Berkeley Point.  Feel free to address any queries you may have regarding the chains or any other matter of concern to the Harbour Master in the Dockyard.  He will be pleased to assist you with any problems or difficulties you may have.  Please note, there is  a  4  knot speed limit for all craft in the harbour

The approach to Antigua Yacht Club Marina, Catamaran Marina and Falmouth Harbour Marina are marked by red and green channel buoys.  It needs to be remembered that Antigua uses the American system of buoyage colouring which means the red buoys are to starboard on entry and the green ones to port.  The opposite way around to the U.K., Europe and most of the rest of the world.

Entering Falmouth Harbour is easier than it may appear from the charts however, be wary of Bishop Shoal which lies to the east of the entrance and is marked by a large, red buoy. Leave the buoy to starboard. The shoal is easily spotted, except in the calmest waters, as waves break over it. To enter Antigua Yacht Club Marina or Falmouth Harbour Marina, after Bishop Shoal buoy, leave the next red buoy to port and follow the buoyed channel which leads to both marinas. To enter the Catamaran Marina leave the red buoy after the Bishop Shoal buoy to starboard and line up the two orange triangles on the hillside above the Catamaran Marina. These will lead you to the dock. There are leading lights to the Catamaran marina for night entry.

There is good anchoring in Falmouth Harbour however, please do not anchor in the channels or the exclusion zone in front of Antigua Yacht Club Marina and Falmouth Harbour Marina. All yachts at anchor in Falmouth Harbour must pay local harbour fees all yachts visiting marinas within the National Park area must pay harbour fees in addition to marina berthing fees.

Falmouth Harbour is home to Antigua Yacht Club and visiting yachtsmen are welcome at the club. Any yachts entering Antigua through Falmouth Harbour must clear through Customs and Immigration at Nelson’s Dockyard, English Harbour. Jolly Harbour Marina is Antigua’s newest marine facility and contains all the services required by a yachtsman.

jollyhaRBOUR

With 24 hour security and CCTV it is an ideal place to leave your yacht. Duty-free fuel is available. For convenience Customs & Immigration clearance is on site. In the boatyard the 75 ton Marine Travelift with boat hoist, sailboat extension and mast crane provides the best handling service available. The boatyard offers a concreted short-term working area and long-term secure storage on stands or in cradles. There is a covered 56 space dinghy store, separate mast stands, sail store, outboard store and secure lockers.

You are welcome to work on your own boats, and there is an excellent selection of technical services and support trades located within the yard as well. Budget Marine Chandlery is on site, only a two minute walk from the dock and there are several resort amenities available including a large supermarket, ATMs, many restaurants and bars, golf course, car/golf-cart rental, taxis, tennis and squash court and swimming pool.

Only 30 minutes away V.C Bird International Airport provides daily flights to North America, UK, Europe and private jet facilities. Why go anywhere else!

STJOHNS

No fees are charged for use of the inner harbour and limited dockage space and facilities are at the marina located off Redcliffe Quay. Dinghies can also be left at Treasury Pier. Fuel and fresh water are available at Keeling Point. Groceries and other provisions are readily available and often cheaper than from other parts of the island.

Epicurean and first Choice Supermarkets are just a short taxi or ‘bus ride out of town. The map Shop on St. Mary’s Street sell all the latest cruising guides and charts. Besides the obvious advantage of being able to anchor within a cable of the commercial and business centre of the island, St. John’s Harbour offers the opportunity to sample a large variety of restaurants and bars plus mix with the local community

Parham Harbour was Antigua’s first port of entry and remains one to this day although visits by yachts have become negligible and it is mainly in use by local fishing vessels. A full time Customs & Immigration post is in operation at the port. Located on the north coast, a channel leads into the harbour. It also leads to the old Crabbs Slipway and marina. At the time of publication the channel, on each side, was marked by two red balls just off Maiden Island. There are plans to place red buoys to starboard and a black to port. The channel is easy to spot but do not attempt to enter or leave except under daylight conditions.

Parham Harbour is a well-protected anchorage and a port of entry with Customs and Immigration posts. There is a small hurricane hole in the mangroves on the southeast side with a dredged entrance of six feet. A jetty to the east of Myers Cove has five feet of water at the end. Parham has small shops for basic provisions. Market Street in Parham was the main street in Antigua up to 1850 at least. The name Market Street was transferred to the main street in St John’s, it is said, about 1902 when the main merchant in Parham moved to St John’s. St. Peter’s Church, a spectacular octagonal structure, often called the finest church in the West Indies, was built originally in 1711. Like most other wooden structures, it burned down but was reconstructed in the 1800s. Thomas Weekes, a British architect, then re-designed it. Parham is the oldest town on Antigua. One writer said of the area “For visitors who view the town from the height, or from the deck of a boat in the harbour, the lush natural setting makes a singular, lasting and haunting, delightful impression.”

barbuda

Barbuda is known to only a few intrepid sailors who like to keep the secret to themselves. The island has almost 200 wrecks around the coast, which are enough to put off casual yachting people and is so flat that it is very difficult to see until you are dangerously close to the reefs.

Low Bay is the nearest to Codrington Village. It is possible to carry a small dinghy over the Palm Beach sand into the lagoon and make your own way to the village from there. A boat with a shallow draught can sail into the lagoon, but this is only for experts and may need the help of a guide.

Barbuda’s shopping has improved greatly in the last few years and almost anything you need in the way of everyday items can be bought in Codrington Village.

Barbuda is listed on the Antigua & Barbuda Government website as a Port of Entry but if Barbuda is to be your first post of call in the country it is worth checking with Customs and Immigration in Barbuda before arriving. They can be contacted on +1268 460 0085 and +1268 460 0354.
