Performance, the pretty 22.07-metre louise incorporates the latest technology and most advanced construction methods. her exterior profile is created by the french designer berret racoupeau while her interior comes from the boards of rhoades young design..

As the owner intended to use the yacht for racing as well as cruising, weight was a critical consideration during the build, and every item going onboard was carefully weighed.  Louise  therefore comprises an aluminium hull and composite deck and superstructure, while her interior is based on foam sandwich panels. The EC6 carbon stays and a carbon mast from Southern Spars ensure low weight and optimal rigidity.

Thanks to large superstructure windows,  Louise ’s spacious interior bathes in natural light. The reverse stern, which makes for a sporty look, includes a large hydraulic door that doubles as a swim platform and tender dock. The large bimini stows away entirely within the superstructure.

2022 Beneteau Oceanis 46.1 First Line - 3 cabin / 2 head layout.                                                                                                                                                                                                 

 "Big Louise" is no ordinary Oceanis 46.1, and even calling her "Turboed" is an understatement.  This First Line model, from the drawing board of Pascal Conq, employs a full-length, hard chine down close to the waterline for increased form stability with twin rudders, resulting in a very stable and powerful hull form that does not tend to get overpowered in gusts the way that a single rudder boat does.

                                                                                                                                                        I'm Tom Hall, the listing agent, and I've been racing and daysailing on this boat for the past year and half so I know the boat very well.  When we do the test sail I'll pass along the techniques we've employed to have some great race results.  Contact me directly and I'll fill you in on all the details I can think of.   

Being a 46.1 First Line she has a deep draft, lead bulb keel and Harken winches, all nice performance upgrades.  But it doesn't stop there, this owner opted for the the extra tall carbon-fiber, slab-reefing rig with a hydraulic backstay adjuster.  Also, custom Quantum racing sails which are all in excellent condition, including:

• Full-batten carbon / kevlar mainsail on a Harken mast track.                                             
• 2 x furlling carbon / kevlar genoas                                                                                       
• 1 x carbon / kevlar Code-0 on a low-profile furler                                                               
• 1 x  A2 dacron Asymmetric spinnaker

Other Performance Enhancements:

• Saildrive with 3 - blade folding propeller                                                                             
• All running rigging upgraded to various Dyneema and other performance lines.

Launched in 2014, sailing yacht Louise (ex Bougainville) is an elegant 72-foot racer/cruiser, constructed by the well known Dutch builder, Claasen Shipyards. The 22-metre luxury yacht Louise boasts both naval architecture as well as exterior design by Berret Racoupeau. Her interior design is by Rhoades Young.

Designed by acclaimed Rhoades Young, the beautiful interiors of Louise yacht are finished in French walnut with a subtle maple edging. There is an owner's suite and two guest cabins situated forward, each with its own shower and toilet. Amidships is the generous saloon, dinette as well as navigation corner. The galley is situated aft, together with a two-person crew cabin and toilet.

LOUISE Specifications

Externally, Louise yacht is fitted with a large hydraulically operated door. When open, it serves as an amazing swim platform and a place from which to launch the tender, stored in the lazarette. There is also a lovely cockpit, furnished with a large Bimini that can easily be stored completely out of sight in the yacht’s superstructure.

Featuring an aluminium hull and a composite deck and superstructure, the 72ft luxury yacht Louise (ex Bougainville) is driven by a Yanmar 4LHA-HTP diesel engine. She features a maximum beam of 5,63m and a draught of 2,3/3,9m. Bougainville is built to MCA code for sailing yachts up to 24 m and is also CE-A certified.

Accommodation aboard Louise yacht is offered in 3 luxurious cabins, including a spacious owner's suite and two guest cabins, each with its own shower and toilet. Service aboard is provided by a crew of 2 professionals.
