You can use your time wisely and in the best possible way in terms of work, family and leisure with your boat when you use our boat service. They take good care of the boat in terms of storage, service and repair, so you just have to concentrate on enjoying your boat when you have time for it.

They provide polishing of matt gelcoat surfaces on freeboard, superstructure and in the cockpit as well as regular maintenance with wax. With their boat service they can also take care of maintenance of batteries, as well as engine service and frost protection of the water system.

Nur wenige Gehminuten von quirligen Leben von Kopenhagens Zentrum entfernt liegt die grüne Oase Frederiksberg. Dort genießt der Gast einen frischen Espresso und schaut von den Terrassen dem bunten Treiben auf den Straßen zu. Frisch gestärkt besucht man hippe Boutiquen oder spaziert entspannt durch den Grand Royal Park.

In dem multinationalen Viertel Nørrebro finden all diejenigen, die es so richtig gerne einmal krachen lassen möchten, 24 Stunden am Tag perfekte Möglichkeiten. Coole Locations, Bars sowie vielschichtige Musik- und Szenekneipen reihen sich aneinander und sorgen rund um die Uhr für die richtige Partylaune. Wer die Zeit findet, zwischen Abtanzen und Longdrink sich dem Trouble zu entziehen, sollte den ruhigen Moment für einen Besuch des Grabs des großen dänischen Autors Hans Christian Andersen auf dem Assistens Friedhof nutzen.  

In der Vergangenheit als Rotlichtviertel Kopenhagens verrucht, befindet sich in Vesterbro das Szene-Viertel der Metropole überhaupt. Vielmehr ist das Arrangement der Gegensätze ein deutlicher Beweis dafür, dass auch unterschiedliche Typen und Charaktere perfekt miteinander harmonieren.

Bummeln und Shoppen in der historischen Altstadt von Kopenhagen

Die von mehreren Großfeuern in der langen Historie zerstörte Altstadt ist nicht nur sehenswert, sondern ein absolutes Muss. Mit viel Können und Geschick wurden die alten Gebäude restauriert, wobei Teile des Viertels auch gut erhalten blieben. Downtown Kopenhagen versprüht bis heute den ureigenen Charme längst vergangener Zeiten. Der Bummel startet vom Rathaus aus in nördlicher Richtung und endet am Kongens Nytorf. Besucher sollten genügend Zeit im Reisegepäck mit sich führen, denn zwischen der berühmten Stroget, der riesigen Fußgängerzone und Shoppingmeile und dem Latina-Viertel treffen sie auf eine Vielzahl an Attraktionen und Sehenswürdigkeiten, die zu einem Zwischenstopp einladen:

Auf ein Fotoshooting des Wahrzeichens der Stadt sollte natürlich ebenfalls nicht verzichtet werden. Das Objekt der Begierde: Die kleine Meerjungfrau. Verträumt und irgendwie abwesend sitzt sie auf einem Findling und blickt weder auf das Meer noch auf das Land. Die Bronzestatue ist nun über 100 Jahre alt – und hat an Popularität nichts eingebüßt. Wer aus Richtung Süden kommend, am Hafen und weiter auf der Uferpromenade Langelinie spaziert, kann die einzigartige Figur nicht verfehlen.

Kopenhagen – ein bevorzugtes Segelrevier

In zentraler Lage Kopenhagens gelegen, ist der Yachthafen Langelinie der perfekte Ausgangspunkt für einen abwechslungsreichen Segeltörn. Die gut ausgestattete Marina bietet 109 Plätze für Segelyachten und liegt unmittelbar an der Einfahrt zum Hafen, direkt hinter der kleinen Meerjungfrau. Hier können Skipper geschützt ankern oder für eine ausgedehnte Tour eine Yacht chartern. Der Hafen zählt zu einem der schönsten für Segel- und Freizeitboote in Dänemark.

Wer sich entspannt zurücklegen und nicht aktiv Segeln möchte, sollte in der Zeit vom 18. Bis 22. August 2021 Kopenhagen einen Besuch abstatten. Bei der jährlich stattfindenden Langstreckenregatta, dem blueribboncup (BRC), in der Segler aus aller Welt von Kiel bis Kopenhagen und retour ihre Künste unter Beweis stellen, wird ein fantastisches Spektakel geboten. Ein Event, das einen Besuch lohnt.

Auf an den Strand – auch das gibt's in Kopenhagen

Auch wenn so mancher es nicht glauben mag – im Sommer kann es in Kopenhagen so richtig heiß werden. Doch keine Angst, denn an zahlreichen Stränden und Hafenbädern kann man sich hervorragend erfrischen. Der größte Sandplatz Kopenhagens ist der Amager Strandpark. Feinster Sand, unendliche Breiten und das Meer immer in Sichtweite. Ein idealer Ort für Familien mit Kindern, der optimal mit der U-Bahn oder dem Fahrrad erreichbar ist. Das Hafenbad Kastrup liegt direkt am Öresund und erlaubt einen faszinierenden Blick auf das Nachbarland Schweden. Im Jahr 2010 wurde der 4.000 Quadratmeter große Svanemøllestrand neu angelegt. Auf dem feinen Sand lässt es sich so herrlich entschleunigen. Und wer eine Abkühlung benötigt, läuft über den 130 Meter langen Pier direkt ins Meer. An der neuen Promenade gibt’s schicke Cafés und Restaurants, in denen man sich mit schmackhaften Snacks und coolen Drinks stärken kann.

At a relatively close sailing distance from Copenhagen is Ven. This island is located in the middle of the Öresund and is a fantastic island to sail to. Coming from Denmark, Kyrkbacken is a natural port to dock in and also one of the cosiest on the island.

In the harbour, there are a couple of restaurants, a fish stall, and bike rentals where you can rent a bike and explore the island. There are also many good barbecue areas and the long jetty is perfect for an evening swim.

If you sail north from Ven, you will soon reach Elsinore. There is a nice and well-kept harbour with all the facilities you could need. In one part of the harbour, there are also a number of very beautiful, older ships that are worth stopping to look at.

Just a stone's throw from the harbour is Kronborg Castle, the pride of Helsingborg. The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it was here that Shakespeare's historic play Hamlet was set.

If you continue your boat trip north, you will then come to Anholt. The sailing is a little longer, but it's definitely worth it! For a long time, the island was only accessible to sailors, which means that today it is still relatively isolated and lives its own life.

The island is a paradise for water sports: kite surfing and windsurfing are popular activities. The whole island also has a relaxed, laid-back feel and is lined with beautiful beaches with blue seas that on sunny days give a real southern feel.

If you choose to sail south instead, you can head to Bornholm. The sailing is a little longer, and you may need to make a stop at the southern tip of Sweden, but once you're there you won't regret it!

It's a popular holiday island with lush green landscapes and Denmark's only granite cliffs. Don't forget to visit Dueodde beach, one of Denmark's finest beaches. After enjoying the beautiful beach and taking a swim, don't forget to finish your visit at Bornholm's famous Michelin restaurant, Kadeau.

Die Geschichte der Stadt København

Funde belegen, dass hier schon in der Vorzeit Menschen gelebt haben, aber erst im 11. Jahrhundert wird der Ort als "Havn" erwähnt. "Havn" war jedoch nur ein Dorf von mehreren, deren Namen sich noch in den Stadtteilen wieder finden (z.B. Valby). 1167 schenkte König Valdemar der Große die Burg Havn mit der dazugehörenden Stadt dem Bischof Absalon von Roskilde, der die Festung Slotsholmen erbauen ließ. Schon bald musste die Lübecker Hanse um die Stellung der Stadt Lübeck als Haupthafen in der Ostsee bangen.

Dieser Entwicklung wollten die Lübecker nicht tatenlos zusehen. Sie brannten den Ort und die Burg im Jahr 1248 nieder. Der Angriff konnte die Entwicklung der Stadt dennoch nicht aufhalten. Anfang 1400 wurde København das Zentrum der Nordreiche Dänemark, Norwegen und Schweden. Erik von Pommern gelang es, 1428 vor Kopenhagen eine Flotte der Lübecker zurückzuschlagen. Ihm glückte es darüber hinaus, die Rolle Københavns aufzuwerten und den Einfluss der Hanseaten zurückzudrängen. Die große "Deutsche Kompagnie" handelstreibender Bürger wurde im 15. Jahrhundert aus der Stadt vertrieben. Unter dem volksnahen König Hans erlebte Kopenhagen eine Blütezeit. Engländer und Holländer wurden zur Belebung des Handels in die Stadt geholt. Als König Hans das Land verlassen musste, fürchtete das Volk um seine Rechte und verteidigte die Stadt gegen König Frederik I. Der bestätigte ihnen jedoch, nachdem er København erobert hatte, die Bürgerrechte. Zur Zeit der Grafenfehde, die durch ein Blutbad König Christian II. an schwedischen Adligen ausgelöst worden war, herrschte Christoph von Oldenburg über Kopenhagen. Er kämpfte für die Rückkehr des Königs und gegen die Reformatoren für die katholische Kirche. Um 1536 setzte sich die lutherische Lehre durch und wurde Staatsreligion. Graf Johann Rantzau hatte 1536 für König Christian III. den Weg nach København freigekämpft und dadurch die neue Entwicklung ermöglicht. In der Folgezeit wüteten Pestepidemien in København, bedingt durch die Enge und die miserablen hygienischen Verhältnisse in der Stadt. Obwohl immer mehr Menschen nach København kamen ließen die Stadtmauern ein Wachstum der Stadt nicht zu. Infolge der guten Befestigungen war es andererseits möglich, sich 1658 und 1659 erfolgreich gegen die Schweden zu verteidigen und sich um 1700 auch gegen die Holländer und Engländer zur Wehr zu setzen. Zum Sieg über die Schweden, die zwei Jahre lang die Stadt belagerten, trug auch bei, dass der König den Bürgern Adelsrechte versprochen hatte, wenn die sich gegen die Schweden stellen würden. Er soll sich durch den Ausspruch, "Ich sterbe in meinem Nest“, besondere Sympathien bei den Københavnern erworben haben.

Großbrände zerstörten 1728 und 1795 die Altstadt. Beim Wiederaufbau wurden breitere Straßen angelegt und es entstanden vornehme Bürgerhäuser. Um 1730 verhalfen die florierenden Handelskompanien der Stadt zu Wohlstand. Die Werften von Christianhavn hatten Hochkonjunktur. Anfang 1800 setzte die britische Kriegsflotte København und seinen Bürgern schwer zu. 1809 mussten sich die Københavner nach schwerem Bombardement den Engländern ergeben, die die gesamte dänische Kriegsflotte konfiszierten. 1813 folgte der Staatsbankrott, aber die wirtschaftliche Lage verschlechterte sich nicht vollends und København entwickelte sich mehr und mehr zum geistigen und kulturellen Mittelpunkt des Nordens. Erfolgreich kämpften Københavner Bürgerrechtler dafür, dass Dänemark 1848 konstitutionelle Monarchie wurde. 1867 wurde die Festung niedergelegt.

Während es Dänemark im Ersten Weltkrieg gelang, seine Neutralität aufrecht zu erhalten und damit das Land und die Københavner Flotte vor allzu großen Verlusten zu bewahren, erfüllte sich die Hoffnung, auf diese Weise auch im Zweiten Weltkrieg den Schaden für das Land zu begrenzen, nicht. Hitler befahl 1940 Dänemark und Norwegen anzugreifen. Angesichts der Übermacht gab König Christian X. auf der Amalienborg den Befehl, die Gegenwehr aufzugeben. Dennoch kam es zu Sabotageakten von Widerstandskämpfern und ab 1943 herrschte regelrechter Krieg zwischen den Københavnern und der Besatzungsmacht.

Wegen der großen Zerstörungen im Zweiten Weltkrieg vollzog sich der Wiederaufbau in den Nachkriegsjahren nur langsam. Valutakrisen erschwerten Anfang der 50er Jahre den Aufschwung, aber dann herrschte Hochkonjunktur. Zur wirtschaftlichen Belebung trug bei, dass Kopenhagen mit den autofreien Einkaufsstraßen eine der ersten Fußgängerzonen in Europa besaß.

Vessels like Mike Lynch's stricken superyacht are "unsinkable", according to the chief executive of the firm which makes and sells them.

Giovanni Costantino, CEO of The Italian Sea Group, told Sky News there are no flaws with the design and construction of the Bayesian superyacht which capsized in a storm off the coast of Porticello, Sicily, on Monday.

Five bodies were found by divers on Wednesday - taking the number of confirmed dead to six.

The Italian Sea Group also owns the firm that built British tech tycoon Mr Lynch's Bayesian, and Mr Costantino said the vessels "are the safest in the most absolute sense".

"Being the manufacturer of Perini [boats], I know very well how the boats have always been designed and built," he said.

"And as Perini is a sailing ship... sailing ships are renowned to be the safest ever."

He said their structure and keel made them "unsinkable bodies".

Mr Costantino said news of the sinking "put me in a state of sadness on one side and of disbelief on the other".

"This incident sounds like an unbelievable story, both technically and as a fact," he said.

It is understood Italian prosecutors investigating the incident are continuing to hold interviews with the survivors.

On Tuesday they questioned the captain for more than two hours to help reconstruct what happened and provide useful technical details.

Four British inspectors are also in Porticello and have begun a preliminary assessment of events.

It is understood they will look at all relevant aspects of the incident, including the design, stability, and operation of the vessel. They will also examine the effects of the weather conditions experienced.

PUERTO DE LA ESTACA, SPAIN: Nine people are confirmed drowned and at least 48 are missing after a boat carrying migrants capsized off Spain's Canary Islands overnight, rescue services said Saturday (Sep 28), the latest in a series of such disasters off the west coast of Africa.

Sea rescue teams said in a statement they had answered a distress call off El Hierro, one of the islands in the Atlantic archipelago, shortly after midnight. They managed to save 27 people out of 84 on board.

Anselmo Pestana, head of the Canary Islands prefecture, said survivors had told their rescuers that the boat had set off from Nuadibu in Mauritania, some 800 kilometres (nearly 500 miles) away.

They also suggested that there might have been as many as 90 people on board. Four of those rescued were minors, he added.

Pestana was speaking from the port of La Estaca, on El Hierro island.

The most critical part of the operation was when the rescue vessels approached the boat in distress, he told journalists, because it was vital that those on board the stricken craft stay calm.

They had to follow the instructions of the rescue crews to ensure their vessel stayed balanced and did not capsize, he added.

But as the migrants had gone two days without food or water, that probably contributed to the panic and the boat capsizing, he said.

Five ships, three helicopters and one plane had taken part in the search and rescue operation, he added.

RECORD NUMBERS ARRIVING

This disaster follows the death of 39 migrants in early September when their boat sank off Senegal while attempting a similar crossing to the Canaries, from where migrants hope to reach mainland Europe. 

Thousands of migrants have died in recent years setting off into the Atlantic to reach Europe onboard overcrowded and often dilapidated boats.

The latest tragedy "again underlines the dangerousness of the Atlantic route", Canaries regional president Fernando Clavijo wrote on X.

"We need Spain and the EU to act decisively in the face of a structural humanitarian tragedy" as lives are lost "metres from Europe's southern border", he added.

In late August, Spain's Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez visited Mauritania and The Gambia to sign cooperation agreements to crack down on people smugglers while expanding legal means of immigration.

As of August 15, 22,304 migrants have reached the Canaries since the start of the year, up from 9,864 in the same period the previous year.

Almost 40,000 migrants entered the Canaries in 2023, a record on course to be broken this year, as easier navigation conditions from September tend to lead to a spike in crossing attempts.

The Atlantic route is particularly deadly, with many of the crowded and poorly equipped boats unable to cope with the strong ocean currents. Some boats set off from African beaches as far as 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) from the Canaries.

The International Organization for Migration, a UN agency, estimates that 4,857 people have died on this route since 2014.

Many aid organisations say that is a massive underestimate. Caminando Fronteras, a Spanish NGO that aids migrants, says 18,680 have died trying to reach Europe.

At least 9 dead, 48 missing after migrant boat capsizes in Spain’s Canary Islands

MADRID - At least nine migrants died and 48 are missing after their boat capsized early on Saturday near the Spanish island of El Hierro, rescue services said, in what threatens to be the deadliest such incident in 30 years of such crossings to the Canary Islands.

The emergency services were able to rescue 27 of 84 migrants who were trying to reach the Spanish coast, they added.

Spanish authorities said the migrants were from Mali, Mauritania and Senegal.

The rescue team received a call shortly after midnight local time from the boat, which was located around four miles east of El Hierro. It sank during the rescue, they said.

"All the migrants on board concentrated in the same side of the boat during the rescue, which made it capsize. Everyone fell into the sea," said Manuel Barroso, head of Spain's maritime rescue services.

Wind and poor visibility made the rescue extremely difficult, he added.

Nine bodies have been recovered and the emergency services are still searching for the others.

Three other boats reached the Canary Islands during the night, carrying 208 migrants.

Calm seas and gentle winds associated with late summer in the Atlantic Ocean off Western Africa has prompted a renewed surge of migrants, local authorities said this month.

The route from Africa to the islands, which has a population of around 2.2 million, has seen a 154% surge in migrants this year, with 21,620 migrants crossing in the first seven months, data from the European Union's border agency Frontex showed.

In some 30 years of migrant crossings to the islands the deadliest shipwreck recorded to date occurred in 2009 off the island of Lanzarote where 25 people died. REUTERS
