O'ptasia underway aerial shot

The 10 largest yachts at the Mediterranean Yacht Show

Returning for its eighth edition, the Mediterranean Yacht Show (MEDYS) gets underway between April 29 to May 3 and will showcase some of the world's best yachts for charter in Greece.

Ranging from boats with impressive LOAs to those fitted with the latest on-board tech, here are 10 of the largest yachts confirmed to appear in Nafplion.

Length: 85m Builder: Golden Yachts

With an impressive length of 85 metres and a hefty 2,342GT of volume, O’Ptasia was built with chartering in mind. Accommodation is for 23 guests in 10 cabins, and there is plenty to keep everyone entertained, from an enormous beach club and spa and wellness centre on the lower deck to a large pool and gym on the bridge deck, as well as sunbathing areas on all aft decks and a touch-and-go helipad that can be turned into a foredeck games area or observation platform. Italian-based designer Giorgio Vafiadis of Studio Vafiadis styled a contemporary interior with Art Deco influences for the Greek shipyard Golden Yachts – including both a guest lift and a magnificent staircase.

O’Ptasia is being displayed by Atalanta Golden Yachts and charters from €800,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 73.5m Builder: Nobiskrug

Lady Vera (ex- Sapphire ) is a 73.5-metre motor yacht and is in the top 5 per cent of LOA globally. Built in Germany by Nobiskrug and delivered in 2011, she has a steel hull and aluminium superstructure with a 12.6-metre beam and a gross tonnage of 1,585GT. Nobiskrug is behind her naval architecture, while she was designed by Newcruise , which also penned her interior. Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in eight cabins, plus 15 crew. Power comes from two MTU diesel engines giving a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.

Lady Vera is being displayed by Parsifal Yachting.

Length: 60m Builder: CMN and Golden Yachts

French yard CMN delivered O’Eva (ex- Cloud 9 , ex- Ice Angel ), one of two of its 60-metres, in 2009, and she was extensively refitted by Golden Yachts in 2023. Like Lady Vera , O’Eva is in the top 5 per cent by LOA in the world, one of 190 motor yachts measuring 60-70 metres. Dimitra Agapitou and Studio Massari redesigned her interiors, while naval architecture on her steel hull and aluminium superstructure was done by CMN. Her gross tonnage of 1,076GT and 11.2-metre beam means she can sleep 14 guests in seven staterooms, attended to by a crew of 15.

O'Eva is being displayed by Atalanta Golden Yachts. Her charter price has not yet been disclosed.

Length: 49.9m Builder: Benetti

The 49.9-metre Benetti Alexandra is one of seven Golden Bay models. She was penned by Stefano Natucci, with interiors courtesy of Alan Jones and Terence Disdale . The 496 GT yacht can accommodate up to 14 guests in seven staterooms. Standout features are her toy box of water toys and a jacuzzi on the flybridge. Power for Alexandra comes from a pair of MTU engines, reaching a top speed of up to 18 knots and she cruises at 16 knots.

Alexandra is being displayed by Athens Yachts and charters from €205,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 54.7m Builder: Turquoise

Also designed to be conducive to charter, Rare Find (ex- Sequel P ) was delivered in 2009, with naval architecture by Turkish yard Turquoise Yachts and O Tanju Kalacoiglu, exteriors by Paolo Callari and interiors by H2 Yacht Design . She can sleep 12 guests in six suites, accommodated with 12 crew in a steel hull and aluminium superstructure measuring 54.7 metres LOA, 9.3 metres beam and 710GT volume. Designed for entertaining, Rare Find has multiple spots for al fresco dining, a sun deck with a spa pool, an upper deck lounge with a bar and games table, full gym, water toys and a VIP suite that can become a massage and therapy room.

Rare Find is being displayed by IYC and charters from €260,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 53m Builder: Amels

One of six Tigre D’Or 52M models, Seahorse was built in the Netherlands by Amels and delivered in 1999. She has been a successful charter yacht, and was refreshed in 2016 with a refit. British designer Terence Disdale penned her exteriors and interior, creating six staterooms for 12 guests and 12 crew in a 609GT, nine-metre-beam steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Twin Cummins diesel engines give her a top speed of 16 knots, cruising speed of 14 knots and cruising range of 5,470 nautical miles.

Seahorse is being displayed by Atalanta Golden Yachts.

Length: 51.8m Builder: Benetti

A complete interior and exterior refit in 2020, following others in 2001 and 2012, brings this 1998-built Benetti Golden Bay bang up to date, with the latest video 4K technology, including satellite TV, Apple TV and Bluesound in all six cabins, and 75in and 65in 4K TVs in the saloons – all controlled by iPad remotes. What’s more, in the Zuretti & Luxury Projects and Stefano Natucci design, there are sound systems to all outside decks and PS4 PRO in the upper deck saloon. And if guests on Akira One (ex- Yolo , ex- Secret Love Too and ex- Taiba V ) tire of all that tech, there is a wide range of the latest water toys to play with, including a slide from the upper deck aft to the sea.

Akira One is being displayed by Atalanta Golden Yachts and charters from €152,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 50m Builder: Admiral – The Italian Sea Group

One of two C-Force 50 models by Admiral – The Italian Sea Group , Ouranos was built in Italy and delivered in 2016. Naval architecture was done by the builder, while Uniellè Yacht Design penned the exterior of the 49.6-metre LOA, 9.1-metre beam steel-hulled yacht and Admiral Centro Stile and Gian Marco Campanino came up with the interior. Up to 14 guests can be accommodated in six cabins, attended to by nine crew. The 499GT Ouranos has an extensive toy box with four jetskis, Seabobs, jet boards, flyboards, a sailing dinghy, SUPs, kayaks, a submersible pool, trampoline, water slide, donuts and the option of scuba equipment.

Ouranos is being displayed by IYC and charters from €225,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 50m Builder: Codecasa

Built in steel and aluminium by the Italian yard Codecasa , the tri-deck 50-metre LOA, 9.5-metre beam Invader was delivered in 1999 and had a full refit four years ago, including a new interior by Studio Vafiadis , blending pear, sycamore and American cherry woods with luxurious stone such as marble and onyx. Accommodation is for 10 guests in five cabins, all with marble en suites. The full-beam master suite is on the main deck, along with a saloon and dining area, but most lounging is done in the upper deck saloon, while forward on the huge sundeck is a spa pool, sunbathing area and spot for al fresco cocktails.

Invader is being displayed by Athens Yachts and charters from €210,000 per week plus expenses.

Length: 50m Builder: Benetti

Another of the seven Benetti Golden Bays, the 49.9-metre, 496GT Jo I, was built in 2004 with an exterior by Stefano Natucci and an interior by Zuretti Interior Design . Refitted last year, she is billed as being ideal for a family charter. Jo I (ex- Jo ) sleeps 12 guests in six cabins, including an owner’s suite, two doubles, two twins, and a sixth cabin recently converted on the upper deck. Amenities for all the family to enjoy include an outdoor projector and screen for watching movies under the stars, a jukebox at the bar, a large spa pool and a fully-stocked toy box, including water slide. She can accommodate 11 crew and has a range of 3,500 nautical miles.

Jo I is being displayed by Camper & Nicholsons International and charters from €165,000 per week plus expenses.
