Captain Glenn on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 return and the Bayesian 'freak accident'

Captain Glenn Shephard has been a familiar face throughout all four seasons of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, where he has commanded Parsifal III.

From dealing with the yacht's unpredictable challenges and managing onboard love triangles, to enjoying oversized crackers in the galley, the Bravo star has made the 177-foot vessel his second home for more than 15 years.

Usually catering to demanding guests as they charter through Greece, Spain, and Italy, it seems fitting that the 63-year-old chatted with us from the comfort of his own boat, Avalon, in Croatia.

Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht has been one of the most anticipated in the show's history. Viewers have been eagerly awaiting its release after photos confirmed filming took place last summer.

Initially slated for a February debut, fans have speculated that the latest season’s release has been delayed following allegations of sexual misconduct against first mate Gary King, made by a production member just days after filming wrapped. King has vehemently denied the accusations.

Despite the controversy, the Montreal native reassured fans that the new season is on its way. However, he remains unsure of exactly when viewers will see him alongside engineer Colin Macrae and chief stew Daisy Kelliher back on their screens.

He told The Standard: “They announced it at BravoCon in November. But then it didn’t air in Spring or Summer. I think it’s coming soon, but I don’t know exactly when. The network decides that. I get endless questions on social media about it, but all I can say is, 'It’s coming soon'.

“We just have to be patient.”

Though the delay is frustrating, it appears both Shephard and fans will have to wait a bit longer for the next season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. In the meantime, UK fans can catch him at the Southampton International Boat Show 2024 later this month. The event, the largest of its kind in the UK, returns for its 55th year at Mayflower Park from 13th to 22nd September 2024.

Speaking about his involvement, he said: "It's pretty cool. I'm really excited."

The seasoned captain will participate in the ribbon-cutting ceremony, host a meet-and-greet, and take part in a Q&A session. And he assured us that he’s ready for all questions, even tough ones regarding the recent Bayesian tragedy, which claimed the lives of British entrepreneur Mike Lynch , his daughter Hannah, and four others when their luxury yacht sank off Sicily.

Boat enthusiasts have been eager to hear Shephard’s perspective on the tragic sinking of Bayesian , especially given his experience with Parsifal III, a superyacht from the same manufacturer. Although that’s where the two vessels similarities end, with Parsifal boasting two masts, not one. It also doesn't have a lifting keel, meaning stability is always at its maximum onboard.

Speaking of the tragedy, Shephard added: “I know there's going to be questions, and I'm happy to address them, but I'm not going to speculate. All I can say is, my heart goes out to the family and loved ones of the people that perish. It's a horrible tragedy, and I'll also say it's definitely a freak accident. You know anyone thinking about going out on a boat and worried that's going to happen - that doesn't happen and I couldn't believe that it could happen.

“We're going to have to take steps to make sure it never happens again, obviously. But no one thought that that could happen. We're all blown away - people in the industry, naval architects - it was a freak incident. That's all I can say.”

Glenn stressed that the Marine Accident Investigation Branch will thoroughly examine the situation, avoiding “guesswork and conspiracy theories” amid the growing social media speculation. He also underlined the importance of safety onboard and reassured viewers that such freak accidents are uncommon.

“Safety is critical,” he said. “It's the most important thing at all times. And we're always keeping an eye on the weather, obviously, but that what happened was a very localised, I think was a very localised event.

“It probably came and gone in a matter of minutes. It's not a hurricane. It's not a storm that's lasting all night. It's something that blows through. I don't know I wasn't there, but that's what I think. And so you have to take all the precautions to be ready for anything, you know, and that's I think we will all learn from this.”

With his sailing knowledge sure to be challenged this weekend, Shephard can usually rely on the camaraderie of his fellow Below Deck captains to riff off of.

Since the debut of Below Deck Sailing Yacht in 2020, he has formed close bonds with Captain Sandy Yawn and Captain Lee Rosbach , whom he hopes will “take to the high seas again” after missing season 12 due to ill health.

However, Shephard's colleagues have had their share of drama. It all started when Yawn stepped in for Rosbach during Season 11 after he had taken ill. Their feud reached fever pitch when he publicly criticised her leadership and her decision to fire stew Camille Lamb without telling him. As a result, Yawn cemented their fallout by not inviting Rosbach to her wedding in May.

Despite the drama, Shephard has stayed neutral and hopes for reconciliation. He shared: “I always like to bring people together, but I don’t know the full story. There’s talk, and it seems they’ve confirmed they’re not the best of friends. But life’s too short for that.

“When we were all together on stage at BravoCon, they seemed fine. But personalities are tricky — especially in the yachting world, where square pegs don’t always fit into round holes. Strong personalities can mean conflict, and resolving that is a massive skill in any industry."

Looking ahead, the captain is contemplating his future with the show after five seasons. For now, fans can rest assured that Captain Glenn isn’t ready to retire from the captain’s chair just yet. He’s aiming to strike a balance between his work and personal enjoyment, signalling a move towards a more leisurely future.

“I’ll probably continue doing it as long as they keep asking me back. I love it. But because of my age, it’s time for me to stop and smell the roses a bit. My sailing days for work aren’t over, but I’m not going to do it full-time anymore. I’d love to do more seasons of the show.”

The Southampton International Boat Show 2024 takes place at Mayflower Park from September 13 to 22. More information available here .

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5: Everything we know so far about the Bravo series

Below Deck Sailing Yacht may put an end to audience anticipation and return for its fifth season sometime in early 2024. Below Deck Sailing Yacht on Bravo is a spin-off based on the hit Below Deck franchise that first aired in 2020. The show has been successfully running ever since and has completed four seasons. The fifth installment is expected to change the composition of the cast and be filmed near Spain's Balearic Islands.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht chronicles the journeys of the crew members who live and work inside their 177-foot sailing yacht, which they fondly refer to as the Parsifal III. The challenge lies in carrying out their day-to-day duties and resolving emerging conflicts arising from relationships among staff members while simultaneously providing quality services to the yacht's elite clientele.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 concluded with a dramatic fallout of the love triangle between Daisy, Gary, and Colin, and the upcoming season is expected to carry on where it previously left off.

Is there a release date for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5?

Although Bravo is yet to announce the official release date for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5, fans can expect the upcoming installment to air sometime in early 2024, according to ScreenRant. The reason behind this surmise is that the show's previous seasons have followed a similarly recognizable pattern.

The first season of the show premiered in February 2020. The next three seasons followed suit and were released in keeping with this time frame. Consequently, it seems likely that Bravo will stick to the February-March slot for releasing the upcoming installment. The location, this time, is expected to be in the vicinity of last season's set.

The cast hasn't been confirmed yet. However, Captain Glenn is expected to reprise his role as the life and blood of the show. First Officer Gary is expected to return to the show as well.

Another familiar face expected to join the ranks of the pleasure yacht's crew is Chief Engineer Colin McRae , as his long years of maritime experience have often proved invaluable in keeping the yacht on course. Additionally, fan-favorite Lucy Edmunds is also expected to be on board.

According to ScreenRant, Chief Steward Daisy Kelliher might not make it to the upcoming season due to her upcoming events in London.

Where is Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 filmed?

In the absence of any official announcement from Bravo regarding the fifth season's shooting location, fans have taken recourse to guesswork and come up with a potential place - the Balearic Islands near Spain.

Fans of the show had been religiously following Gary King's social media profiles. They learned he had been roaming around the Balearic Islands, including places like Mallorca and Ibiza. However, this wasn't substantial proof. Things took a turn for the definite as fans spotted pre-production filming in process at Ibiza.

In a Reddit thread titled 'Spotted In Ibiza,' one fan posted a picture of the anchored Parsifal III. This gave rise to speculation among fans. One user stated:

"This is pre-production for season 5. It takes them a few days to set up all the cameras and equipment. The crew should be on board any day. I've noticed Gary, Daisy and Colin's social media has gone quiet only reposts for the last couple days."

Another user remarked:

"I think they prob are filming. Daisy's IG stories have just been reposts last few days I think and just checked, Colin and Gary don't have any up atm. Just throwing a bit more fuel on the fire!!

All episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht can be viewed by tuning in to Bravo.

55m Trinity superyacht Purpose will feature on season 9 of Below Deck

Mustique: 55m Trinity makes a return for season 9 of Below Deck Mediterranean in Greece

Season nine of hit reality TV Show Below Deck Mediterranean will return to screens on 3 June 2024 with Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm, marking her eighth consecutive season. According to TV network Bravo, the reality show will be based in the Greek city of Athens and the superyacht crew will cruise on the 54.9-metre Trinity motor yacht Purpose  - a yacht that was formerly known as Mustique.

The yacht was called Mustique throughout the filming of the show, and only changed her name to Purpose in January 2024, shortly after the yacht was listed for sale for $19,000,000. She underwent a substantial refit last year, with her formerly white hull repainted sky blue and her interior undergoing substantial changes, too.

Who are the cast in Below Deck Mediterranean season 9?

Chief stew Aesha Scott (who originally worked with Captain Sandy on seasons four and five of Below Deck Mediterranean ) will return along with Elena Dubaich, who stepped in during season seven when Kyle Viljoen got injured. Chef Johnathan Shillingford, bosun Iain Maclean, deckhands Joe Bradley, Nathan Gallagher, and Gael Cameron, and stew Bri Muller, complete the crew.

A look inside the Below Deck superyacht

Purpose was built by Trinity Yachts in the USA in 2006 and recently underwent a refit in 2023, which saw the completion of a new interior and a comprehensive upgrade of all operational systems. The yacht for charter is currently managed by Hill Robinson and is available throughout various stages of her world tour across the Mediterranean Sea, Scandinavia, Greenland and Canada.

Purpose accommodates 12 guests across six cabins, encompassing a master suite on the main deck and a VIP, three doubles and a twin on the lower deck. Her interior is characterised by a traditional yachting style with dark wood panelling and light upholstery featuring oceanic patterns and blue accents.

She boasts a range of social spaces, including the main saloon lounge with its baby grand piano, the formal dining room and upper deck lounge. Her standout feature includes a spacious sundeck, complete with a Jacuzzi, sun loungers and bar counter with stools – an area where charter guests can enjoy the space as an al fresco gym or open-air cinema when night falls.

Her charter credentials are heightened by a huge range of water toys, as well as an inflatable pool and beach club pontoon.

Equipped with at-anchor stabilisers and accompanied by a nine-metre Intrepid tender, the charter yacht has a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,000nm at her economical cruising speed.

How much does it cost to charter Mustique from Below Deck?

For summer 2024, Purpose (ex Mustique ) is chartering with Hill Robinson for a rate of €310,000 per week during high season.

Here’s all the Below Deck shows airing on Bravo in 2024 and when they will premiere

Captain Kerry Titheradge on Below Deck and Captain Jason Chambers on Below Deck Down Under

Below Deck Med Season 8 comes to an end soon, much to the delight of fans who have found the season unbearable to watch.

Now that Below Deck Med is almost over, that makes room for other Below Deck shows to hit Bravo airwaves.

It will be the first season in Below Deck history without Captain Lee Rosbach running things, which should make for a very interesting season.

Deckhand Ben Willoughby returns for his second stint, while Fraser Olender is back for his second time as chief stew and third time on Below Deck.

It will be good to have the OG Below Deck back on Bravo, even if the dynamic will be completely different without Captain Lee.

However, Below Deck isn’t the only show in the franchise that fans are ready to have on Bravo airwaves again this year. Let’s take a look at what we know about the other Below Deck shows airing in 2024.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Below Deck (@belowdeckbravo)

Below Deck Sailing Yacht

Captain Glenn Shephard returns for Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5. The news that the show was renewed was announced at BravoCon last November.

It was hardly a secret to Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans though because photos of Daisy Kelliher and Gary King filming aboard Parsifal III were leaked last summer. Not long after the pictures came out, Gary was accused of sexual misconduct with a production team member.

Gary was removed from BravoCon, and there’s been no word on just how much of a part he will play in Season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. The first-mate has played a pivotal role on the show since his Season 2 debut, so fans are waiting to hear more on this hot topic.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 will premiere after Below Deck Season 11. Based on the schedule for the OG show, the sailing show will return in late May or early June on Bravo.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Captain Glenn Shephard (@capt_glennshephard)

Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason Chambers and Aesha Scott will return for Below Deck Down Under Season 3. Bravo struck gold with them and knows it.

Season 2 of Below Deck Down Under took the latest Below Deck spin-off to a whole new level. Luke Jones and Laura Bileskalne’s sexual misconduct actions and how Aesha and Captain Jason handled it put Below Deck Down Under on the map.

Unfortunately, there’s some bad news when it comes to the show. Captain Jason revealed last month that Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under hasn’t even been filmed yet. If the show airs in 2024, it won’t be until the late fall but could be pushed to 2025.

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Jason Chambers (@captainjchambers)

Below Deck Med

Captain Sandy Yawn hasn’t even finished her Below Deck Med Season 8 run, but Season 9 has already been filmed.

Below Deck Med Season 9 was filmed last summer, not long after Below Deck Sailing Yacht wrapped. Those who may not be excited for more Below Deck Med will be happy that Aesha was spotted filming the upcoming season as chief stew alongside Captain Sandy.

Since Below Deck Down Under has yet to film, all signs point to Below Deck Med Season 9 hitting Bravo airwaves in the fall, likely October after Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 5 finishes its Bravo run.

Now, the timing for Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Med could change if, at some point, Bravo doubles up on episodes like it in 2024 with the sailing show and Below Deck Down Under.

What show are you most excited to see return in 2024?

Below Deck Med airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo. Below Deck Season 11 premieres on Monday, February 5, at 9/8c on Bravo. Below Deck Sailing Yacht and Below Deck Down Under are currently on hiatus on Bravo.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht: Official date, cast members and destination revealed

By Editorial Team   20 December 2019

After exclusively breaking the news about the brand new 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' series earlier this year, YachtCharterFleet can now unveil more details about Bravo's latest addition to the Below Deck franchise.

Set to hit our screens on February 3, 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' will follow a new crew of yachties as they set sail around the coastlines of Greece .

This is the first series in Below Deck history which features a luxury sailing yacht, with the 180ft sailing yacht Parsifal III playing the starring role.

The new series joins the original Below Deck, which premiered in 2013, and Below Deck Mediterranean, which premiered in 2016.

Promising even more action on the high seas, a new trailer gives us an insight into what we can expect from the show's first ever season.

Get ready for a new Below Deck yacht with a new crew on board (and Chef Adam)! ⛵🌬️ The SERIES PREMIERE of #BelowDeckSailing sets sail February 3! https://bravo.ly/BDSYFB Publiée par Bravo sur  Mercredi 18 décembre 2019

What's different about the new series?

below deck sailing yacht 2024

This is the first ever time Below Deck has branched away from motor yachts, and the sailing vessel component of the new series is expected to inject even more drama to the show.

This is partly due to the fact that the design of luxury sailing yachts leads to far more confined crew areas than we are used to seeing on the original Below Deck.

Although the 180ft Parsfill III is the 59th largest sailing yacht ever build, her interior volumes are much smaller than a motor yacht of the equivalent length. Motor yachts are typically wider, and have more decks- Parsifal III has just three slim decks.

below deck sailing yacht 2024

Sailing yachts also heel (lean) from side to side while under sail, creating plenty of problems for the interior team as you can see in the trailer above.

below deck sailing yacht 2024

Sailing yachts generally feature smaller galleys, tiny stew stations and cramped crew quarters which are in closer proximity to the guests’ living areas, making it more challenging for the crew to deliver their signature silver service.

Sailing yachts also heel (lean) from side to side while under sail, creating plenty of problems for the interior team, as you can see in the trailer above.

In addition, we can expect to see the deck crew placed in a far more demanding role, with sailing yachts requiring accuracy and skills to manoeuvre safely.

Furthermore, plenty of deck duties take place in the midst of guest areas, so the pressure will be on as the sailors struggle to keep their cool in front of their charter guests.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht Cast: New crew and a familiar face

below deck sailing yacht 2024

The crew is helmed by the yacht's full-time captain Glenn Shepherd, a keen sailor with 10 years of experience on board Parsifal III. This is unusual for Below Deck, as the full-time crew are usually replaced with a temporary cast during filming.

Long-time Below Deck fans will spot a familar face in the crew; chef Adam Gliick, who made his debut appearance in Below Deck Mediterranean season 2 and is returning for the first season of the new Sailing Yacht series.

below deck sailing yacht 2024

There is also a couple onboard, which is common in yachting, but has never been seen before on Below Deck. Ciara Duggan and Paget Berry also work full-time on Parsifal III, but the pair has never worked in the same department before. Berry works as the yacht's first mate, while Duggan will be stepping in as deckhand.

The interior crew is headed up by chief stewardess Jenna MacGillivray. She will need to have a firm hold on her crew and an even firmer hold on her interior, as unsecured items will wreak havoc when the yacht catches wind and heels (leans). She is joined by second stewardess Madison Stalker and third stew Georgia Grobler.

Where was Below Deck Sailing Yacht filmed?

below deck sailing yacht 2024

Filming for the new series took place around the Greek island of Corfu in the Ionian Sea. The yacht's homeport for the series was Corfu Yacht Harbour; this is where we can expect to catch our first glimpse of the charter guests as they embark and disembark the yacht.

When will Below Deck Sailing Yacht premiere?

The new Sailing Yacht series premieres Monday, February 3rd at 9pm ET/PT on Bravo TV.

How much does it cost to rent the Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

Parsifal III charters from $195,000 per week plus expenses. This does not include the price of food, drinks, the cost to dock, or fuel costs associated with water toys.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4: next episode, cast, trailer and what we know about the Bravo series

Captain Glenn and the crew of the Parsifal III set sail again.

Captain Glenn Shepherd on the Parsifal III on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4

Captain Glenn and the crew of the Parsifal III are back for another season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht . This time the yacht is setting sail in lovely Sardinia, Italy, and even though it's a beautiful location, don't expect calm seas. This season, anything can happen.

As the original Below Deck franchise wraps up its tenth season, Below Deck Sailing Yacht cruises into season 4 with the promise of picturesque landscapes and thrilling adventures, but the trailer hints at some trouble on board, and not just with the crew. Although, it looks like the Parsifal III has some challenges this season that puts Captain Glenn and the crew through their paces.

Here's everything we know about Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4.

Next episode of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4

Part two of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season four reunion   airs Tuesday, July 18, at 8 pm ET/PT on Bravo. Catch the uncensored and extended Below Deck Sailing Yacht reunion part two next day on Peacock.

We don't have a premiere date for the UK, but expect to see new episodes on Hayu once they're available.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode guide

Keep track of all the Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episodes here:

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 1: "ParsiFAIL" "Back on board Parsifal III in Sardinia, Italy, Capt. Glenn is poised for his smoothest sail yet -- until he isn't; Daisy comes back ready to prove she knows what she's doing as a chief stew; chief engineer Colin is determined to avoid a boat romance."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 2: "Worst Vacation Ever" "Capt. Glenn is hopeful Colin's plan to fix the engine works; chef Ileisha has problems at dinner; the guests blame Daisy for the lack of service."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 3: "The King is Back" "Capt. Glenn finally wakes up to some good news; the entire crew is invited to join the guests for dinner, and chef Ileisha must change her menu in the last minute."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 4: "Lazy Daisy" "Capt. Glenn remains committed to improving the guest experience by insisting a stew go on all excursions. Daisy is frustrated after learning she’s a stew down while the deck team goofed off on the eFoils. Chef Ileisha’s perfectionism is thrown off when she faces her greatest fear in the galley and enlists Colin’s help. Gary claims his territory as First Mate both with the ladies and on deck as he sets his eyes on Mads knowing his deckhands are interested in the same girl."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 5: "Hate Me Tender" "Daisy is overwhelmed with the high-maintenance guests and struggles to ask for help, so a request from Gary sends her over the edge; when a guest injury occurs on the water toys, Capt. Glenn goes into high alert."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 6: "Clash & Burn" "In an effort to turn the charter around, Capt. Glenn takes the guests on an epic sail. Lucy makes a grave mistake to a charter guest’s garment. After Chef Ileisha continues to leave the guests waiting too long between courses, Capt. Glenn gives her honest feedback in the tip meeting that pushes Daisy's defensive buttons. Colin defends Capt. Glenn’s comments as feedback and not critique, which only heightens Daisy’s frustrations."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 7: "Smoke on the Water" "Another engine issue emerges, forcing Capt. Glenn to modify the plan and keep the returning guests entertained. With all the uncertainty going on in the engine room, Capt. Glenn takes control and points out the crews’ mistakes. Daisy and Colin make up after their fight as their relationship grows stronger. Daisy confronts Gary about Mads and claims he’s playing his usual games. Tired of the drama, Chase plans a night of drunk Twister and hosts a surprising yoga session. "

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 8: "Cheers to Boobies" "After Chase confides in Gary about Alex’s lackluster work ethic, Chase’s trust is broken when Gary tells Alex about their conversation. The crew pull off talent show #2 for the returning guests and surprise themselves with their interesting skills. Chase has a little too much to drink, and he upsets some of the crew, pushing Lucy to lose it and her chair at dinner. Daisy and Colin get closer than ever as they share an unexpected kiss."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 9: "Love Boat" "Glenn dresses up for the guests' theme night; he hopes his participation helps correct a jewelry theft hiccup and is on top of his crew to make sure the women have the best trip of their lives."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 10: "Loose Lips Sink Friendships" "The crew has the day off, and even Capt. Glenn recharges by enjoying Parsifal III all to himself and riding the eFoil; Colin saves the day clearing the clogged toilets, but he gets jammed up when his honest opinion strikes a chord."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 11: "Let Them Eat Cake" "Capt. Glenn notices the standards are slipping on Parsifal lll as the crew is exhausted with the mid-season blues. Distraught that Colin and Gary aren’t speaking, Daisy takes initiative and forces them to hash out their problems. Gary’s confusing behavior has Mads confessing her feelings to Alex. Colin tries to forgive Daisy’s discretions, but she adds insult to injury after she drunkenly confuses him for Gary. On charter, after anchoring in their first destination, Parsifal lll nearly drags into a neighboring boat."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 12: "T-Bone with Stakes" "Capt. Glenn notices the crew is slipping on service when a guest is injured, and interior doesn’t hear the walkie call forcing Capt. Glenn to up the guest maintenance standards onboard. After Alex and Mads confess their feelings from the start, Mads is torn between Alex and Gary. Shaken after a close T-Bone with a nearby boat, Gary is confused when his advances to Mads aren’t being reciprocated."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 13: "Hurricane Bonnie" "Captain Glenn reprimands the crew as recent slip-ups are directly affecting communication and morale; Daisy breaks down when she's proven wrong about the walkies not working; Chef Ileisha is determined to prove she can complete a 10-course dinner."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 14: "Boat Load of Throuples" "Capt. Glenn threatens to kick one of the 'throuple' charter guests off Parsifal during a drunken guest fight. Mads receives a wake-up call that prompts her to dismiss Gary’s apology attempt and more seriously consider Alex leaving Gary with a stomach full of regret. Unhappy with Gary, Alex and Colin decide to follow their hearts instead."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 episode 15: "Man Buns Has it Been Fun": "Proud of his team’s accomplishments during the final sail, Capt. Glenn believes his tough love made them all stronger. The crew celebrates their final night out and Daisy and Colin try to soak up every moment of it. Following tearless goodbyes, Capt. Glenn and Gary stay onboard Parsifal to pick up another charter season."

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 cast

Captain Glenn Shepherd returns to helm the Parsifal III. This is his fourth season on the series, but he's no stranger to the ship. He's been helming the Parsifal III for over a decade.

Captain Glenn will be joined once again by Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, first mate Gary King and engineer Colin MacRae.

New to the series are chef Ileisha Dell, stews Lucy Edmunds and Mads Herrera and deckhands Chase Lemacks and Alex Propson.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 plot

Bravo offered this synopsis of Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 4 and it gives you a good sense of what's coming in the new season:

"Capt. Glenn and his comeback team Daisy Kelliher, Gary King and Colin MacRae resume their responsibilities aboard Parsifal III, along with new, dynamic crew members, as they set sail in Sardinia, Italy. Capt. Glenn realizes that his laid-back leadership style has allowed his crew to become too comfortable and starts taking charge of quality control in the interior department, much to Daisy's dismay.

"In the galley, Chef Ileisha’s cooking impresses the guests, but her indecisiveness and co-dependency lead to time-management issues between courses, which causes her to self-destruct. On deck, strong personalities collide, and a power struggle results in a near mutiny, as Gary clashes with his new overconfident deckhand, Chase.

"Two overlapping love triangles further complicate the dynamics on-board, and a shocking hookup puts Colin, Daisy and Gary’s friendship in jeopardy. With a near collision, fire, crew rebellion, gruesome guest injury and two different potentially season-ending engine failures, this is the most captivating and unpredictable season yet of Below Deck Sailing Yacht ."

20 Best Reality TV Shows Right Now

Below deck's gary king reveals bombshell claim against accuser as sailing yacht season 5 status remains unclear, i'm convinced selling sunset season 8's alanna gold is a producer plant (she's not like the other agents).

  • Daisy Kelliher, from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, is known for professional skills and a recent love triangle with Gary and Colin.
  • Daisy's new platinum bob haircut has fans excited, showing off a confident look perfect for a hot girl summer.
  • Daisy has been traveling the world post-season, exploring places like Greece and Los Angeles, embracing her adventurous side.

Daisy Kelliher has starred as Chief Stew on Below Deck Sailing Yacht for four seasons, and it's time to talk about what the yachtie has been up to since her tumultuous love triangle imploded. Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, the seasoned stew's onboard skills run in the family. Her parents also worked on yachts, with her grandfather even boasting an Olympic medal in sailing. The sunny 37-year-old is known for her hardworking and professional attitude, and there's hope she'll return for Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 .

Daisy's usual demeanor fell by the wayside when she found herself in a boatmance love triangle between Gary King and Colin McRae. During the season, Daisy hooked up with Colin, the Chief Engineer, despite having a long-standing connection with Gary, the First Officer. While a boatmance isn't out of character for most Below Deck franchise cast members, Daisy was known for being no-nonsense and focused on her job. Her performance suffered, leading to some disappointment from Captain Glenn Shepard.

Reality TV is more popular than ever. With so many to choose from, here are some of the best reality TV shows to stream or watch right now.

Daisy Is Rocking A Brand-New Look

Her new hair looks amazing.

Daisy chopped off her signature long blonde locks and traded them for a trendy platinum bob. The Chief Stew is ready for a hot girl summer with such a blunt, confident haircut. Fans in the comments were floored at her new appearance. " Nothing has ever been more meant for you. Looks incredible ," wrote one follower, while another gushed, " I just did the same thing with my hair!!! You're hair looks fabulous!!! " Daisy is one of the most popular Below Deck franchise members, with very few negative opinions surrounding the bright yachtie.

" I just did the same thing with my hair!!! You're hair looks fabulous!!! "

Daisy's drastic change in appearance was shocking, but she probably wants to shake off last season's mishaps. She also recently appeared on the red carpet for the premiere of Star Wars The Acolyte, looking super sleek and glamorous with her platinum hair and a golden-hued slip dress. Daisy expresses herself without apologizing, and it's great to see her play with style during the off-season.

Daisy Has Been Traveling

She loves to explore.

Daisy has been traveling the world since filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht . As a natural adventurer, it's no surprise that Daisy would want to explore during her time between seasons. " Last week ," followed by pink heart emojis, accompanied these fun photos from a recent trip to Los Angeles. Daisy looked super cute in a sundress while holding a drink in the pool. However, the yachtie's travels haven't been confined to California. She spent the night partying away for her birthday and dove into the blue waters of Greece for two weeks.

Daisy's honesty and lighthearted nature are part of what makes her such a likable Below Deck cast member.

Daisy has always enjoyed traveling but feels most at home in the UK. She attended school in Ireland before deciding to pursue higher education in London, where she studied Hotel Management. After completing her studies, Daisy gained experience working in various luxury hospitality settings , which helped her develop skills in customer service and management. Then, Daisy worked on several high-end yachts, traveling to exotic locations and catering to the needs of affluent clients, which is part of what made her such an amazing Chief Stew.

Daisy's Sister Bonnie Was In A Motorbike Accident In Thailand

Daisy was there for her sister.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers met Daisy Kelliher's sister Bonnie in season 4, when she met up with Daisy and the crew for a night out. Daisy and Bonnie had not seen each other for a few years at that time due to their busy schedules and the COVID-19 pandemic. However, they remained very close. On June 18th, 2024, Daisy shared the first of two Instagram posts on the same day where she revealed to her 406,000 followers that Bonnie was in a traumatic motorbike accident in Thailand a few weeks prior.

"She has had several surgeries including her chest, face and brain and two emergency surgeries one when it happened and one over the weekend and a 12 hour surgery last week."

Daisy said Bonnie had been discharged from the ICU and was in a normal hospital room for a lengthy recovery. In her second post, Daisy cautioned her followers about the dangers of motorbikes, the importance of wearing a helmet, and how traumatic Bonnie's accident was for her and her family. Daisy flew to Thailand to be with Bonnie when she heard about the accident. Since her posts, Daisy has not made another post on her page to update fans on Bonnie's condition, but she has replied to comments from fans on other posts letting them know Bonnie is doing well.

Daisy's Journey On Below Deck Sailing Yacht Explained

She got all tangled up with colin and gary.

When Daisy joined the cast as Chief Stew, she brought a wealth of experience from the yachting industry. From the start, she demonstrated her ability to run a tight interior crew. Daisy's leadership style was firm but fair, earning her the respect of her crew. As her time on the show continued, Daisy maintained professional relationships while still engaging in the camaraderie and social aspects of yacht life. Nearly everybody liked Daisy.

Season 4 brought significant personal challenges for Daisy, marking a turning point in her Below Deck Sailing Yacht journey. The season was dominated by the dramatic love triangle involving Daisy, Colin, and Gary . Despite her typically professional and composed nature, Daisy was at the center of a complicated romantic entanglement.

While she and Gary had a long-standing connection, Daisy decided to explore a romantic relationship with Colin. This decision led to various complications, including jealousy and misunderstandings, especially when Gary accused Daisy of not being truthful about the nature of her relationship with Colin. Throughout the drama, Daisy's usual professionalism is tested as she struggles to stay on top of her duties as Chief Stew. However, she still has a good reputation in the Below Deck universe.

Will Daisy Return To Below Deck Sailing Yacht?

She's likely to come back for season 5.

While Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5's premiere date hasn't been announced, Daisy will likely return . She's been an excellent Chief Stew aboard Parsifal III despite some personal drama last season, and Daisy's changed appearance and behavior is a sign that she's ready to turn over a new leaf. The Below Deck spin-off remains popular and is sure to return soon. However, Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 will air first. In the meantime, Daisy enjoys traveling and showing off her new look, and hopefully, she will return to screens soon.

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 was supposed to air after Below Deck season 11, but Below Deck Med season 9 premiered instead.

Although the season has reportedly been filmed already, the hiatus is likely due to the sexual misconduct allegations against Gary stemming from a Below Deck production makeup artist claiming that Gary acted sexually inappropriately towards her.

The Below Deck franchise could be trying to edit Gary out of BDSY season 5, as they have done a similar thing with a troubled cast member before.

It's unclear a this point if and when Below Deck Sailing Yacht will get a premiere date, and whether Gary will be a part of it or in future seasons at all. Daisy seems to be a bright constant in the franchise who should by all accounts be a part of the next season with or without Gary. While Daisy focuses on her Bravolebrity status, travels, and sister, fans can anticipate seeing her in the future on their TV screens.

Below Deck Mediterranean airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EDT on Bravo.
